hey guys, noob here.
I've been looking up how to flush my anti-freeze and I'm wondering if you guys could tell me if what I've read is correct. I find that for some reason, info on anti-freeze online is hard to find, vague, and contradictory depending on who you ask.
I have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder 2.7 L manual.
I read you can use any color antifreeze on toyota except green (so long as you don't mix and match). Is there any advantage to the different types? Should I just go to dealer and get coolant or do they charge exorbitant fees?
Right now I have orange. If I do a full flush (multiple times until it runs clear), can I change color?
Can I use my waste-oil pan to catch antifreeze? Will the traces of antifreeze contaminate used oil and mess up the recycling process?
Any other tips greatly appreciated.

But I have, sir. I don't think the manual even mentions how to do a coolant flush.
As for type of coolant, the manual is very vague. It just says use ethylene glycerol with low silicate, etc. etc.
I try to look this stuff up online but I only seem to find contradictory information.

I sometimes flash my hazard lights when somebody lets me over, moves out of the passing lane proactively, or something else kind.
Would you interpret my brief flashing of my hazard lights as a thank you?
Btw I only do this when waving is really impractical. I know that if I shown appreciation for a random driver being kind, they will also appreciate it more and be happier.

/o/ I have $55k to spend on my next truck, and ive narrowed it down to these two cousins. I'm leaning towards the 4runner because I actually prefer its looks and the fact that it doesnt carry any pretenses (I could care less about the Lexus "status symbol"), but I absolutely love the Land Cruiser Prado and the Lexus is the only variant I can get here stateside. I'm also weary of the 20" rims on the 4runner capability wise, although I love the look. Truck is going to be used 90% in the city and 10% on the back-roads offroading and adventuring. Which do I choose?

They need serious work to fix issues they've been having with the drive-train durability which shouldn't even be happening given its design.
There's also plenty of other niggles showing up from the car having everything be powered by some kind of electronics that wants to fail, like the door handles not presenting themselves, which are starting to surface which also are hurting the car's perception.

It's contingent on branding. Tech wise they WILL get overtaken by the bigger firms, especially considering their open source policy. However, if they've built up enough of a following by the time that happens, chances are they'll stick around. They're already well on the way - I reckon at this point the brand has enough clout that if things went tits up for them, there's a fair chance some other firm would buy it and use the Tesla name to sell their own upmarket electric stuff.

So I'm looking at buying a '79 Bonneville with 150k miles on it for $850. The body and frame seem to be in decent shape, but given the era of car I'm thinking the engine, transmission or both are going to need to be replaced in the not-so-distant future.
Any estimates on how much cheddar it would ring to replace either the engine or trans in something this old if either one went bad?
