Is it worth turning car off at longer lights and stops?
I've been doing it and turning off then coasting up to line of cars. Will the savings on gas outweigh any wear on starter system?
>>17688737
Don't be a fucking retard.
>>17688737
It save or wear anything. You'll just look stupid and autistic.
>>17688748
It wont*
are these a meme car?
Mememon

the third generation hemi is not, but the car built around it is a pile of hot dogshit.

This, cool engines but pigfat crappy cars
New to cars. Looking for a good beginner car. I'm on a tight budget so I need something initially cheap. Don't want anything flashy, just need something fun and easy to work on. What would you suggest?
I would suggest reading the sticky. Or just get a 3k Civic (or 5/10k Civic if budget allows).
>>17688539
I'm talking like a few thousand dollars range.
1979-2003 Ford mustang GT
Find me a better hoon vehicle.

get a B series instead for weeb street cred
>>17688551
B series doesn't have the red or blue seats though.
Also forgot to add, no traction control or stability control bullshit to limit your hooning abilities.
This is a Fiat coupe and I really like this car
>>17688461
haha
>>17688461
Man this car looks great. Also, seeing one in mid 90s was mindblowing, like someone just got a concept car straight from motorshow.
You know, a more lean, agile startup that is trying to disrupt the entrenched automakers like Honda and Nissan.
This question popped into my head recently. I know that China has NIO and BYD, but I can't think of any Japanese equivalents.

I was in Japan last year and I saw Prius' everywhere while I was in Tokyo. I think the Japanese are still on the hybrid phase and have yet to go into EV.
>>17688445
Terra Motors might count...though they're more focused on electric bikes/scooters.

Is driving a Mustang GT or Camaro SS as a DD in snowy areas dumb? Has anyone personally done it? I have a semi-quick 4th gen LS1 that's loud and shitty to drive and a Ram 1500 but I'd like to get rid of both and get something newer that I could drive all year and have just 1 car.
Get studded snow tires and fill the trunk up with sandbags
Winter tires, and don't drive like an idiot.

Wait and save up for the AWD challenger that's going to come out m8.
>he actually believes that traffic tickets are a form of revenue generation
>he actually believes that time and resources toward traffic law and vehicle safety enforcement don't render any "revenue" insignificant if not grossly exceed it
>he actually believes it isnt when it's been confirmed by law enforcement jews across various countries
Keep lickin those boots, that's a good goy.

What's your favorite race track besides the Nurburgring?
The Moonring.
Circuito de La Sierra
Mount Panorama Circuit
I've only been to the junkyard twice and every time I get what I need and wait in line someone comes up to me and tells me to put it in my pocket and go. Is this normal?
>>17687847
if it fits the pocket its free.
and no im not a nigger
>>17687847
thats why they charge you like 10 bucks to get in. they expect people to pocket small shit like that.
my local junkyard does an "all you can carry day" once a month to clear out inventory. whatever you can physically carry out the gate for 100$
always a riot watching dudes bring their muscle head friends just to try and lug a 400lb fully dressed engine out.
>>17687847
>be younger
>cut fuel line on friends ZROC
>can't find a replacement
>go to junkyard
>fully remove line
>yard wanted 200 dollars for it
>throw that shit over the back fense
>Also snag a bunch of old fuel injectors for my car
How do put b16a2 into 1991 hatch?
Brother is becoming a Honda fanboy and I like that our interests are reconvening.
>>17687714
You google it. B-series into an EF is one of the most well documented Honda engine swaps ever. If you can't find everything you need with a few searches, you're probably retarded.
>>17687714
Get a first gen b16 w/cable trans
IS this a good start?

So I've been trying to decide what car to get and my options have basically boiled down to either a CPO BMW m235i (roughly 38k out the door) or a Volkswagen Golf GTI S.
Now let me be perfectly clear. I hate the look of the GTI but on paper I think it's exactly what I need. I can buy one brand new out the door for less than 24k
I plan on putting a good amount of miles on whichever car I end up going with
What do you guys think? Is the extra $13k worth the BMW style/luxury and speed? I've driven every economy hatchback on the market: Prius, ct200h, mazda3, etc.. and I hate the flimsy and thin feel of them and love the thickness and isolation of a BMW. But on paper it just doesn't seem worth it. What do you guys think
Mustang GT
>>17687639
>I hate the look of the GTI but on paper I think it's exactly what I need
Which is what?
>buying a new car
>new
lmao might as well just light your money on fire and then stick it in your ass and then poop it into and flush it down a toilet
Is a 2014 BMW 535xi with 31k miles on it a bad idea?
>>17687571
No those new turbo six's are good man, get it if that's what you're interested in.
>>17687619
Thanks, man. It drives well and is real clean. Pretty much loaded, including M Sport and Tech package.
>>17687673
Wow you lucky sob, you'll have a lot of fun with that. My only problem with the new 5ers is they're a little on the porky side but regardless they are great. The issues bmw had with the N54 have all been ironed out so the new turbo I6 in the 2013+ 3ers and 5ers are very good engines.
What's the price on it? Just out of curiosity
ITT we post retarded car ads
>>17687564
my favorite is when its a car that was never offered with anything less than 6 or 8 cylinders, but apparently its a speciall version with 4
>>17687574
Ewwwww
Poorfag here would I be retarded to buy a Porsche boxter? They are quite depreciated in my area you can find a clean one with 100k miles for around 6k. Only problem is it's a fucking 20 year old German luxury car. How bad would I get bent over with maintenance and repairs? I could budget around 1k per year for maintenance and repairs would that be enough? Also I would probably only drive it like 3k miles per year it would be my second car.
>>17687509
Currently an auto tech in Texas had a customer that used to come in with an 86 Porsche 928 and we bent him hard.
>>17687649
I would be getting a 2000 era boxster.
>poorfag
>second car
