What happens if you get a ticket while driving with a suspended license? My friend just got pulled over but the cop only gave him a ticket, this dude should have been in jail
>>14069946
It probably wasn't suspended then
>>14069946
You go to court and prob get comm service or probation. Got 80 hours for suspended license and 12 over limit
All I got when I was stopped was a ticket for driving on a suspended license. It was like a 150$ ticket.
Goddamn it feels good being white.
>want a Boxster as a DD
>you live in Canada
Just get a set of winter tires and you're good to go, assuming you don't have to drive through half a foot of snow every day.
The body is galvanized steel so rust isn't a huge issue either.
You can get a hardtop if you want added comfort.
>live in Alaska
>Have 2 wheel drive minis
>No fucks given
Also man the fuck up, these cars are literally torture tested in Canadian winters

Why do people think this is a luxury?
poverty
>>14069698
If you fart on a stock seat, the smell stays in there for a week.
Leather just shrugs it off. Luxury

nice
can i shit on a leather seat and not have to clean it off too?
I think I found out that tire company's have been jewing us.
I read an article today on Moto IQ about how to choose a properly sized tire(link at bottom). In the article it says “For ideal handling: when sizing a tire for a given wheel, I usually target a tire’s TREAD width to be as wide as the WHEEL width, or 0.5” narrower than the wheel width.” So given that advice I go to Tireracks website to check my factory size 245/45/18 tire vs my factory size 18"X8" wheel. I used MPSS as just an example. Pic related. Now in the article they states that "Most people are too focused on the number on their sidewall rather than the true width of the tire, or what will give them the best performance.[...] Instead we need to focus on the tire’s TREAD WIDTH." According to Tirerack a 245/45/18 MPSS has a tread width of 8.5" and section width of 9.6" A 225/50/18 MPSS has a tread width of 8.2" and a section width of 9.2". If you go to Tireracks "Tire Tech" page (link at bottom) it shows that "The industry rule of thumb is that for every 1/2" change in rim width, the tire's section width will correspondingly change by approximately 2/10 of an inch." Given the 8" and 7" measured rim widths in my example, that would mean that a 225/50/18 MPSS section width would increase 4/10 of and inch by mounting it on a wheel that is 1" wider, giving both sizes a 9.6" section width. So now my question is why am I paying 88 dollars more per tire when they are basically the same size just with different numbers on the side? This is just one example, so if you could run the same test as I did on your size of tires and report back your findings that would be great.

Sidewalls are a thing. You like not having your wheels fucked to hell and back, don't you?
>>14069523
>I read an article today on Moto IQ
Who?
>>14069536
I'm not really sure what you are trying to say, but the tires in my example are the same diameter. So that means side wall size is the same. As I moved from a wider tire to a more narrow tire I increased the aspect ratio to keep them the same size.

I had never heard of the either. I this article on google while researching tires.
Looking to buy a new car that's both fun and functional. I don't go to the track and 90% of my driving is in and around the city.
From what I've researched it comes down between the Golf R and the WRX STI. Everything I've read basically says that the STI is more "wild" and has better track potential, while the Golf R is more "mature" and refined.
I test drove a MK7 GTI that was tuned to ~300HP and really liked it. I also test drive a regular WRX with an automatic CVT (it's all the dealership had) and found it underwhelming.
I live in Canada and get a decent amount of snow during the winter. The regular GTI and WRX are also under consideration.
Any advice or alternative recommendations? I don't want a straight up sports car with no cargo room or winter drivability.
According to most of the youtube videos comparing these 2 the Golf is slightly faster and the interior doesnt seem as cheap. The golf supposedly feels like a car that costs what these cost but I imagine the subaru feels a bit more fun.
impreza has ugly exterior
golf has ugly interior (literally every VW/Audi/Škoda)
I'd take the Golf OP
Spec it on 18s for maximum comfy with big performance
Any Georgianons on o?
Just moved back here from Florida after a long time. Where's all the good roads and tracks? Any meets or get togethers coming up?
>>14069137
>Where are the good roads
Along the tennesee border
>>14069145
I've thought about heading to the mountains up there. How is it?
>>14069162
They're meh, some are not as well kept as others. The farther north you go the better, more curvey roads and elevation change
It's well documented that /o/ misses Pontiac, but what about all the other defunct muscle brands? Any love here for Plymouth, Oldsmobile, Mercury or AMC?
I have a Mercury so of course I'm into them, but it's not like any of those brands were ever going to be saved or redeemed anyway
>>14069028
Amc made some cool wacky stuff, I like their cars
>>14069045
I would totally a new AMC with better build quality
Had a lady yell at me how terrible Nissan is because Chrysler wouldn't sell her a car.
>u wot?
2 questions. Is that your GTR? Who are you?
I'm a newfag sorry.
>>14069020
not op but I can tell you right off the bat that isn't his gtr. Lurk for at least a month before posting

I'm one step from buying this car - should I go for it?
>1,1 - 60hp
>equivelent of $600
>1990
>good condition
>literally identical to pic rel
youre just using it to cruise around town right?
That's one hot bitch
The 205 was a great design
What is /o/'s opinion on the 2016 Infiniti QX60?
I have three kids and currently have a 2010 Camry and I need to step up to a 7-seater crossover. I have been thinking of this QX60 and as well as the 16' Mazda CX-9.
Which is a better option?
>>14068538
I think in terms of customer satisfaction, it seems Mazda has been doing well with their crossovers. Lots of people saying they like their CX7/9s.
I'd imagine the Infiniti is a bit more luxurious, but probably a bit worse on fuel and of course more expensive overall.
Depends what you want I guess.
>>14068544
What is the best engine configuration, and why is it V10?
I like v10s but they are garbage from an objective standpoint.
V10s are best because I like I5s and a V10 is just two I5s glued together
>>14068481
And what standpoint is that?
>always thought the black ice meme was exactly that, a meme
>never believed the anons saying the smell was inhumanly overpowering
>see black ice on promotion
>acquire one
>walk to the car
>open it
>ohfuck.jpg
