Finally getting our first snow of the season here in KC. First car I saw wrecked was an Xterra, he was taking a left onto the highway and spun out into the retaining wall. It rained last night then iced over and snowed on top of it.

Not trying to derail the thread, but is that thing on your dash one of those little plastic animals with the soft spike-looking things all over its body? If so where the fuck did you get it? Those things where the shit in elementary school man, I totally forgot they existed.
You've just been giving $100,000 and a garage with 6 spaces.
What do /o/?
>>14137583
I honestly cannot think of a worse way to spend $100k on cars than what you have posted. That must really have taken some thought, you've covered all the shitbox bases.
ATS-V and late 60s eldorado
Just the one.
How do you deal with paranoia of leaving a car like this at a parking lot when you go see a movie or something?
Modern cars need to have all around camera surveillance when in locked mode.
I live in a developed, white country where people posess common decency.
>>14146149
So your car doesn't get footed and keyed? Do you live in Sweden or something?
>>14146149
This.
I finally stopped being a NEET and got a semi decent paying career. I was looking up semi-exotic cars and was surprised to see some of these are actually in my budget. Is owning something like this as an everyday car suicide? My city doesn't have a lot of inclines but the winters are a little harsh.
>>14140491
>Is owning something like this as an everyday car suicide?
Yes. Get the evora if you want a DD'able lotus.
>>14140535
Doesn't that thing got 4 seats?
>>14140491
>being this insecure as to buying a sports car for a DD instead of something reliable and comfortable and efficient.
How the fuck does Haggard Garage consistently pull $500 Miatas? Can't find any in that range even in a 500 mile radius of my location.
Because the MX-5's they buy either have serious issues or don't even work properly.
That's the only way you're going to get one cheap.
Or they lie about how much they paid.
>>14137810
If dude on the right got /fit/ he would look like Vin diesel
should i pull the trigger, or would people just look at it as a fake porsche?
cayman is cool car but silver sucks
Nice Toyota anon!

Post Euro-only cars...
What an ugly car. I feel like we're not worse off never having that here.

Why isn't Lancia producing this beauty?

Who's retarded idea was it to cancel this car in America, and Australia for that matter. America missed out on arguably the best ford sedan/mini truck ever. It can make so much power and the platform has potential to be whatever they mold it to be. America really missed out with their inline sixes too, the 250 2v, and the 4.0 turbos are both great engines.
Wagons.
The Audi S4 / RS4 and S6 / RS6 Avants
The Mercedes CLA / CLS Shootingbrakes
The BMW 3 / 5 Wagons
Murrica cares more about SUVs and crossovers.

they are called utes cunt
Oi m8, sorry I'm not Aussie.
What does /o/ think of this? My buddy wants a muscleish classic car, we've been looking for almost 6 months with not a whole lot of luck. We saw this today and he kinda liked it, but it's a bit outside of the ideal muscle car era, and a little underpowered, but it's in good shape and the guy wants $5500 for it. It was mentioned somewhere or another that this car was considered one of the last true muscle cars of the muscle era. Does that statement hold up?
So /o/, what do you think of the 78 dodge magnum?
It's got the 360 with a four barrel carb by the way
>>14143011
>$5500
>for that
Worth $550 tops
Foxbody came out the very next year so yeah it's safe to say it represents the end of muscle. Is it a manual? Is this something he may want to do an engine rebuild on eventually? How's the rust?
$5500 is a lot for that car.

So does this mean to post unloved cars?
>>14138209
Yes, but maximum effect is achieved when it's an unloved model from a line of otherwise loved cars.

Pic related. I drove my grandfather's Century for a few months and it couldn't be more dull, both in aesthetics and handling. Bland interior too
>>14132711
That's the point of it
>>14132711
And the ting is, it's the nicest car you have ever driven. Ironic isn't it?
>>14132714
I know, it was built to be bland and I accept that. I'm not complaining any more since I have a better car but that doesn't change the fact that it's the opposite of an enthusiast's car
>>14132717

Car color and psychology.
What does black car really mean? How do you feel when you see a black car? Inb4 uber. Are cops less likely to pull over a black car because it instills fear into people's eyes? Is that why cops drive black cars? Or do black cars stick out like a sore thumb asking for attention? Really wanna know your thoughts
>>14140035
I asked a friend and they think it's "gangster" color. They associate it with gangsters lol
Mostly asking because I'm going to buy a black car and I deal in many shady illegal activities in what most would call the underworld. I'm not like John wick but pretty close to yakuza
Black cars don't suggest criminality, having all of you windows tinted, flashy rims, and obnoxious sub bass suggests criminality. I would bet that most people driving black, grey, or white vehicles just don't care much about car color so they went with one of the neutral options. Over 70% of the cars in production are a neutral shade from black to white.

how are German brands compared to the competition?
like reliability and longevity
I'd get a German car but I hear they aren't as reliable and are more expensive to keep and maintain
>>14141477
Less reliable
More expensive
Offers nothing worthwhile you can't get cheaper that will last longer from the likes of Lexus or Cadillac.
German cars start calling apart from the most simple mechanisms after only a few years.
Door/window electrical contacts and switches will fail causing you to have to buy the entire "door module" for $500 and tear apart the entire door. Some random "seat" sensor will go out lighting up your dashboard that will cost $1000 to fix.
If you ant one, fine. But get it under a bumper to bumper warranty and sell it before the warranty is up.
My 944 has given me nothing but problems, Porsche parts aren't cheap either.
>>14141477
>>14141613
>but I hear they aren't as reliable
some old bmws and mercs were long lasting machines. simpler VWs with DI engines (before, say, 2010) can go on for quite a while if maintenance is proper. I'm in the market for any sDI VAG plebmobile right now. opel claims to be german but it's shit. don't trust audi too much either.
