Imagine finding a dream 80s/90s car in factory condition in today's day?

>factory plastic
>9.5 miles on odometer
Imagine finding your dream car in said condition, would you drive it?
>today's day
idk man itd be cool to go looking and find a good car'a car like that.
Yo /o/ I'm rich as fuck which factory condition memecars should I preserve for posterity?
>>14163164
Wouldn't feel right driving something like that. A blue collar 80s hero ought to have a few nicks and scratches by now.
>>14163351
Buy a load of Chinese stuff. Literally no-one else will want to preserve any of it bar the really weird stuff.
So mad max yeah?
Where do they get new gaskets and carburetor o-rings and seals?
Where do the new tires come from?
How about the sheilding gas for the welders to weld all the spikes and shit to their cars?
Where's all the motor oil coming from?
You know for a world with limited amounts of gasoline they sure drove around alot in mad max fury road
Also im sure they just salvage alot ofvtheir car parts
>>14163121
I can understand that they drill for new oil/raid old giantfuck stockpiles. The 2nd movie even revolves around an oil pump encampment.
What i just can't stomach is these cars eat up this much fucking punishment with no universal joint failures? No need for engine rebuilds? No need for any type of precision part replacements?
>autism threda
Convince me to not buy a used EVO x or a 2009 wrx sti /o/
Both cars:
>4doors
>0-60 in 5.4 secs
>turbo
>ok fuel economy
>4wd
Does anyone have any experience with these machines? How often do you have to service them?
Personally I like the EVO x better because of looks and interior but the STI is more reliable...
Help!!
>>14163095
>STI is more reliable
Nah not really
muh piston rings
Get the EvoX, at least it's a 2.2 and has better TECHNOLOGY than the STI because of mivec and lolnota15yearoldengine
>>14163101
Heard that the 6 speed gearbox in the sti is made out of diamonds
>daily drive fast car
>not get to enjoy it at all
>pay a bunch of money for maintenance
>pay a bunch of money for parts
Is it going to sit in your garage and only be brought out for track days?
If not then don't fuckin buy one.
What will you do to this kid?
nothing because idcsage
>>14163049
Is that even a nissan?
>>14164446
It's a scion iq or whatever they're called in lands without freedom.
All other things being equal. They turn the same.
The rwd will have an advantage accelerating out of the turn because power is being sent to one axle and the other is steering.
What kind of dangerous driving games does /o/ play?
Personally I like to go out on unlit country roads at night and turn all my lights off and see how many seconds I can go before I pussy out and turn them back on.
I go on the highway and close my eyes and see how long it takes for me to pussy out.
>>14162892
I do that too OP
I also slalom cones and those little barricade thingys when no one is around
none im not 16 any more
Is Rebecca the official /o/ waifu?
>>14162850
>butter face
No. Who wants a wife that acts like a dude? 4/10 would race with, would not wife.
>>14162857
>acts like a dude
girls drive cars too you know :)
>>14162850
It's Wat-tan you fucking faggot
I might get the opportunity to move to Comox, BC next year. From the looks of Google Maps, there are a ton of minor roads around the mountains, but I'm not sure if they're gravel or not.
Anyone live out there? Any good touge? Racing scenes? Seems like it'd be an alright place to drive, and maybe import a car from Nipland.
I live in the valley, all the roads your looking at are likely gravel. Only paved roads into the mountains is strathcona parkway. Highway 28 to to gold river is fun and paved, as is highway 19 all the way out to port hardy. Highway 4 is paved all the way to tofino, but sees really heavy traffic. All are quite a drive however. Forbidden plateau road is local to comox valley and is a lot of fun if you don't mind a little rally stage on the gravel. There's no meets or anything like that, just one small tight knit group of drifters and thats about it,they got a couple of miatas, some tanked s13's, a handful of e36's and and Rx7's. One guy owns an evo 4, dc2 and ver 5 sti, but that's about the most interesting thing. Dont let that discourage you from living here though. The city isn't the most interesting place in the world but its right in the middle of the island making it close to all the interesting things and places on the island.
Thanks anon.
What are the "interesting things and places on the island?" Seems like everything is a 6 hour drive away or less.

I live in a small town 15km south of vancouver
sea to sky is beautiful, but its not in the island tho

2016 Ford Mustang V6 or Ecoboost?
Isn't the ecoboost more expensive that a GT?
also why a v6
>>14162698
Neither, cuck.
>>14162698
Ecoboost. More low end power. with the V6 you have to really wring it out. Ecoboost has BOOOOOOOOOST.
>>14162703
Ecoboost is roughly 6 grand less than the GT.
>He coulden't afford a porsche cayman GTS!!!
>>14162547
Neither could you
>>14162552
Typical miata faggot, always on the defense.
>>14162559
Nice try at a misdirect poorfag.
You can't even afford a miata.
How's the bus?
Does /o/ approve of the Yukon Denali?
I'm glad they changed the name from McKinley since McKinley never even drove it.
>>14162481
That doesn't look like a Roush.
it's an overpriced SUV. there's not much to like unless you hate money or your husband's some sort of management
I've owned/driven quite a few cars and trucks with cruise control. My truck is equipped with cruise control and when you step on the brake or hit cancel it turns off. But has anyone ever noticed when you hit "resume" it almost puts the gas pedal to the floor? I'm not really a fast driver and have always wondered if something the dealer can do on a laptop to slow it down?
>>14162480
>it almost puts the gas pedal to the floor
This is your kickdown engaging and putting your car into a lower gear so you can accelerate. If you want to change this, get a car that allows you to control what gear you're in.
manually give it gas to get back to near the speed you want it to be and then reengage it.
it's just trying to catch up to where it was before.
>>14162517
This is eventually what I end up doing but it seems live every car/truck I drive does this.
Shiny
is this the back to reddit car?
>>14162347
Hello...McFly?!
>>14162347
I like the movies, but I kind of wish the movies didn't get made so the DeLorean didn't have the normie/reddit stigma it has now.

Hi /o/... I need a new battery for my 2000 BMW 328i. I of course googled and found years old threads on BMW forums where these guys were talking about batteries for like $60 or $70 at Walmart and Autozone. When I go to the Autozone website and put in my vehicle is returns results for different batteries than mentioned in the old threads and way more expensive batteries.
Is it just that the prices have gone up? How important to my car is it to have a specific battery? Thanks in advance.
Inflation.
Read your owners manual.
battery prices have gone up significantly. best bet is costco.
>>14162073
I work at walmart in automotive. Your BMW uses an H7 size battery, in that size we only have the Everstart Maxx with the 5 year warranty (3 years free replacement+2 years prorated) for $150.
how come an NSX cost more or same price as the Corvette if its only +290Hp?........ it should cost less than a Corvette desu senpai.
>>14161959
>cars are priced based on horsepower soley
because tokyo drift brah
a 911 turbo and r8 could be acquired at the same price too
what's your point?
