I want one bad. I want one baaaaad. Can a YJ be fixed up to be in good shape for a DD? I know it gets bad fuel mileage and is more naked than the TJ but man I am in love with it. I'd like to know if they can be reliable vehicles for someone that wants to abuse it?
>>17701731
I'm not an off-roader type btw. Pls no bully.
>>17701731
Dude, jokes aside they fucking suck ass
Literally, reliability problems out the God damn ass. Wait for an actual jeep guy to come in here. Just get something else, I beg you. For your own sake
>>17701731
>I'd like to know if they can be reliable vehicles for someone that wants to abuse it?
No, if you abuse a stock YJ you'll break axels and drive shafts all day long.
The 4 and 6 cylinder engines are tanks though.
Also if you think 15-20mpg is bad you're a fucking faggot
I bought a 1967 mustang and received a Florida title from 1977 and on the back it says seller completes form 1 then it says "form no.1 transfer of title" under that are lines which are almost all signed out but one which reads "for value received the motor vehicle described on the face of this certificate is hereby sold and delivered to, (print or type name of dealer or individual purchaser)" the line after that is signed by the original persons name and notary public, which doesn't match up to the title??

Congrats
Now go talk to your DMV
You can probably make more by parting it than by fixing it up anyhow.
>>17701655
You'll probably have to "wash" the title through one of those states like New Hampshire that don't issue titles on older vehicles and instead only use a Bill of Sale to document the transaction. You then take that BoS to your DMV. It's a pain in the ass but less than trying to fix a botched title.
With its combination of great roads and amazing views, Wales is potentially the best place in the world to drive
Prove me wrong
Cumbria is better m8 sorry. Way more scary twisties, more lakes, more mountains, less Welsh fucks.
On a proper motorbike with good tyres and place is the best place in the world to drive.
Scotland is larger and emptier, which by my measure makes it superior.
Hey /o/ I'm looking to get training in a skilled trade and automotive was my first choice (university is a joke, I've done my time). What would be the best course of action? What would be the best specialized skill for a rural area?
welding
My advice applies to strictly being a mechanic. Get a job first. Start with the basics and supplement with junior college classes if you can, ASE's will increase your pay. DO NOT GO TO UTI OR WYOTECH. I work with guys that went there and end up as a tech next to some guy who started busting out oil changes at walmart. If you have interest in autobody then I would suggest UTI or Wyotech because it's hard to get an entry level job at a body shop with no background.
Sales or parts department.
Just baught a stock cb750.

Would you rather buy a used WRX STI for 20K
or a 10K corolla and a fucking sick watch?
This is a test of your wisdom...
Both sound like a huge waste of money m8
I'd buy a $15K Corvette, a $4K pickup truck, a $990 watch, and $10 for a night with OP's mom and sister.
>>17698871
i'd rather get a 3k civic and a omega or seiko. most rolex don't appeal to me.
I've been wanting to buy and restore a Chevy Nova but I wonder if it's possible to accomplish, I earn $700 every two weeks, I'm 28, I make payments for a Chevy impala and To top it off, I pay insurance, no children and practically single.
Any tips and advice from current muscle car owners?
>>17698811
>I earn $700 every two weeks, I'm 28
maybe you should stop making retarded decisions.
Do you have a garage to store it in? And work on it? Do you have an arsenal of tools? You'll want air tools because you'll be taking the same stuff apart many times over.
Also you could probably buy it if it's a rusted piece of shit, but you'll take 10 years to restore it making $350/week.
Get a better job first. Or start selling drugs/your ass.
Or find a fat religious Christmas cake bitch with lots of money, pump her full of seed, then settle into that househusband lyfe and watch the NovaNEETbux roll in.

>I earn $700 every two weeks
nigga, i make 100k$ a year and can barely afford my project car. and i buy the cheapo parts too.
>The company that made good small, sporty cars in its day is the one that died
Nothing is fair.
>>17698798
They had only had a few sporty cars. AMX and Javelin and Rebel. Everything else was standard passenger cars and offroad vehicles.
>>17701394
>standard
Never heard of the Pacer?
>>17698798
>pic related
>>17701450
Yes. It was just a passenger vehicle. Albeit a strange one. Not to hate on it though. I actually like them.
What is the last good engine Toyota made? Seems they are letting other manufactures make their engines now.

Let's see if /o/tists can be artists instead of autists. Started out with a generic 80's shitbox with no reference picture or vehicle in mind. You yourself can draw anything.
drawing cars is fun even if you aren't good at it

I like the line work on this. Mine would be cleaner, but I sketched it in pen at work on a piece of reciept paper.
