And how long did it take to get it?

$15 for a learners for six months, and $15 dollars for the license. No fee paper and practical test.
>>
I don't even remember, did I even have to pay?
I took the permit test, sat on it for about 6 months. Then got my Driver's License by going up to the DMV and taking it there.

I'm sure I'm overpaying for insurance, compared to a european. Maybe not so much since my car is a 5.4L, but. You know. Yeah, probably didn't pay anything.

20$ for my learners, 100$ for a 5 year subscription to a drivers licence

Hey /o/, I'm bored and need to express my gratitude towards the Ford Motor Company and all of their success they've achieved in the last decade. I truly believe Ford is at is all time best right now.

Oh, what?
You don't believe me?
b-but muh Zo6
b-but muh Hellcat
b-but muh WRX
Sorry, but having one gleeming turd among a pile of trash does not make your favorite car manufacturer good (nevermind the fact the Zo6 is a unreliable pos, Hellcat is pigfat, and WRX is overpriced cheap Japcrap). What really makes Ford the GoaT at the moment is that EVERY single one of their models is the best in their class in terms of efficiency, power, handling, reliability and price.

Let me show it to you if you still don't believe me.

>FiST
Stupid cheap, great power, luxury build quality, and WRX killing handling

>FoST
Incredible bargain, lightweight, manual standard

>FoRS
Most powerful hatchback ever sold in America, manual, AWD, supercar like quickness and speed

>Fusion
Super luxurious, great build quality, and great reliability

>Mustang
Great range of engine options that are all best in it's class, not very pigfat and best handling muscle car ever made

>Taurus
Available 350hp AWD SHO, big and lightweight (unlike the Challenger and Charger), great sport styling

>Explorer
Used by PDs, so you know it has to be good and reliable. Very sporty and fun to drive.

>Flex
great fuel economy for best looking SUV on the market, HUGE interior, 300 hp.

>Expedition
V8 powwaaa, body on frame beast, practically unkillable

>F150
Possibly the most innovative truck the industry has ever seen, class leading power out of a awesome V6, VERY quick for it's weight and size, best in class in payload and towing capacity. BEST SELLING TRUCK FOR 40 YEARS

>Super Duty
Like the F150, leads its competitors in almost every conceivable way. Known as the standard of the class for a good fucking reason. Also extremely reliable.

>>14415407

2/2

>Vans and heavy duty trucks
No other domestic or foreign auto maker even comes close to cover the range of trucks that Ford does. Practically owns the heavy duty truck market.

>Electric and hybrids models
Biggest range of hyrbid and electric models among domestic auto makers. Cheaper than most it's foreign competitors.

>Ford GT
I have no doubt in my mind this is gonna be the best car Ford has ever made. Only god knows how many records its will break. The Corvette fanboys tears will be delicious.

And best of fucking all? They never had to bailed out by the fucking government. Yes, I know GMfags are gonna come in and defend their precious Government Motors, but I really don't give a fuck, they're retarded

So, I'm gonna ask again, /o/, can we all agree Ford is at it's all time best right now?

A thread for our beloved econobox pocket rockets. Talk experiences, ask for advice and questions and generally shitpost about the Fiesta ST.

Previous Thread: >>14375304
How was your weekend?

>What is a "Hot Hatch"?
A Hot Hatch is a manufacturer produced, performance oriented variant of a standard hatchback, designed for improved handling, increased top speed, acceleration and generally enhance the driving experience.

>Are all Hot Hatches FWD?
No. Whilst most Hot Hatches are FWD, some are AWD or even RWD.

>Isn't FWD shit?
No. Just because you can't get the arse out by stamping on the accelerator doesn't mean you can't have fun.

>Aren't Hot Hatches just for Europoors?
No; with the launch of the Fiesta and Focus ST in the US, it seems like the Hot Hatch is beginning to take of on the other side of the Atlantic, but Europoors definitely have more choice.

>Is the Fiesta ST actually good?
The Fiesta ST is one of the best small hot hatches on offer at the minute; so yeah they're pretty good.
191 posts and 50 images submitted.
>>
So OP does anyone other than Ford make hot hatches?
>>
>>14412456
Probably a good 75% of the first world's car manufacturers.

Renault were arguably the best in recent times until the shit-show that was the Mk4 Clio RS. Now Ford seem to be in the limelight. The Golf R/GTI, Peugeot 208 GTI, Suzuki Swift Sport and Abarth 595 all seem to be very good offerings too.
>>
>>14412486

Quick Summary: Telling the truth about how you make money to dear ol Dad

.>>14326542
Might as well be truthful about it, Dad is usually cool with these kind of things worst you expect is some warnings or something.

"Built it to run 'shine, that's how I've kept money in my pocket."

You don't know what reaction you were expecting, but it wasn't a chuckle.

"Guess apple don't far from the tree does it? Next thing y'know you'll be drivin' around in a Henry J."

"Uhh, actually, the car I just bought is a Henry J."

That chuckle is full blown laughter now.

"Oh God, bet you got a kid runnin' around somewhere already don't you? You gonna get a '82 Valiant or whatever they makin' in 13 years?"

“N-no I don’t, and hey who knows, might get a Road Runner if those are still bein’ made. Valiant's ain't my thing."

After he stops laughing he goes back to being reletively neutral.

"I figured you was up to somethin' the law didn't like in that car if you wasn't a drivin' it around, all I have to say is don't expect me ta bail you out if you get caught."

"You never got caught did you, I don't plan on it either."

"Naw, but the law's got smarter since then...even ol' Teague."

Yeah, things could get rough if they all start getting radios, you can only assume the police are going to be talking about last night and looking for both you and Erika. Should probably try to do something with the Packard's paint at the least.

"Maybe your son's smarter than you!" you joke "Seriously though, I'll be careful, g'night."

You start to go to your room to call it a night when Dad grabs you by the arm.

"You didn't hear it from me, but maybe Paul up at the farm could use a driver." he says with a wink "Their brother used ta drive but he got caught."

"Hmm, thanks, maybe I'll head up there if I have the time."
316 posts and 43 images submitted.
>>
>>14328928
You need to go up there to see if you can get some fancy stuff done like on Erika's car anyway, might be best to wait until you're done with the J. Might have to wait until Saturday with the plans you have tomorrow.

Eager to get tomorrow started you hit the sack with the alarm set for 8. Surely Renee won't be showing up earlier than that.

Even when you expect the alarm you hate hearing the goddamn thing, you crawl out of bed to turn it off. Not much reason to take a shower when you're going to be working on a car all day so you eat breakfast and shoot the shit with dad for a bit before he leaves.

You're about to turn on the TV when a knock at the door gets your attention, you hustle over to open to reveal a grinning Renee that hugs you the instant the door is open.

"Heya Jamie! You ready to get to work?"

You are, but after Dad told you that the Lassiter's might have a job for you you want to go check that out. There's a good chance once you get started on the car you're not leaving until it's done or Carpenter's closes.

Sure, Renee's dad is a deputy but she doesn't care about you doing anything illegal like that does she? She sure doesn't care about reckless driving and speeding.

A) Go to the Lassiter's 1st, can at least get the details.
B) That can wait until tomorrow, you want the J done before tonight.
C) If the Lassiter's do have a job you need to take the Packard.
