Okay it held up for a long time, but god damn it the speedometer would just randomly die, no matter what was done to fix it. Rust took its toll, the gas tank started leaking from the top; it was time to let go.

Stupid. It was cheap and had low mileage. Cost $700 to change the starter
Had 2 driveshafts go bad. Intake issues, transfercase. I changed the reservoir on the radiator and hat to change 2 thermostats and a mounting bracket. Total cost $600. For a fucking overflow reservoir. All this in under 5 years

Companies should be embarrassed. They let a startup car company come into their industry and do w/e the fuck it wants for YEARS, and about a year after the tipping point whey they cant possibly bridge the now huge technology gap they start ASKING if people are interested in this? They are done. They will never be able to make electric cars as attractive as Tesla or at a price point that Tesla can. Even if they could produce a car at the same manufacturing cost as Tesla it would still cost more because of the dealership model they all stupidly locked themselves into.

Questions that dont deserve their own thread
So my 2001 A6 doesnt have cruise control and buttons for the board computer.
As far as i know if i buy the lever for cruise control it should work because my car has EPC(electronic pedal control). The board computer is an interesting one because of all the functions theres only range. Owners manual says there are buttons on the wiper lever to switch functions but there are none. If i'd install a lever with board computer buttons what are the chances it could work?
