3v fag here,
my 3v has about 285k miles on it and im DDing it. Buying a truck by the end of this year, and wanting to track the mustang, I dont want to do anything else to the mustang's engine to the the miles, not even a rebuild. ALL of my friends are telling me to trough a LS or a Coyote in it. I want to keep everything below 5k. Im thinking about picking up a 2.3t ecoboost and ECU, and roll cage. everything said and done should be around 4-4.5k. is this a dumb idea?
>>17709740
yes.
Yes. If anything just throw a low mileage 3v in it from a junkyard, add a couple bolt on mods and call it a day. Anything else will soar above 5k quickly if you arent careful.

Ok
First for it's okay to start on a 600 if you are an adult
>Brake with two fingers
>Respect the throttle. You don't need WOT for traction around a corner.
>Know there's a time and a place for everything
>Work your way up to higher speeds. Most people who start on big bikes get hurt because they let the racer pretentions get to them.
>Do track days
You don't need to start out as a clueless nitwit on a 250 to git gud.
Hey /o/, so I wrecked my 944 turbo (pic related - I removed the fenders, bumper, and hood to assess the damage). Anyway, I want to get rid of it, but I'm not sure where to look to see if anyone wants to scoop it for cheap as a parts car. Should I just throw it up on craigslist? Anyone want it?
The rest of the car is in pretty good condition. Tires alone are brand new as well.
Here's the gory details
why did you do that to the poor car?
Be honest with me /o/.
How expensive is it to maintain a FC RX-7 compared to a Porsche 944? I need something to drive for fun.
Both base models, no turbo. Too expensive.
The RX-7 will be much less expensive to maintain and is less complex so one in the same condition will tend to be more reliable

Is the FC a fun car to drive?
After much research, automotive engineers have found a way to make E46s reliable.
What do you think /o/?
I think they are fine from the factory. Stop being poor and do your scheduled maintenance on time.

Or better yet, look up the expected lifetime of each part of the car and replace them shortly before, instead of waiting until roadside failure to replace.

hi dad
I was curious as to the type of crowd the RS attracts. I know that Ford hatches such as the ST models usually attract a more mature audience than the likes of the WRX. I am asking this question because I am buying one and I want to know what stereotypes I'm going to be subjected to. A big reason I am not buying a WRX is due to the negative connotations associated with the cars fanbase.
>>17708573
I can't answer your question.
Have you considered the VW GTI or VW Golf R?
If you're in the market for a hot hatch, you should at least test drive a VW.
>A big reason I am not buying a WRX is due to the negative connotations associated with the cars fanbase.
I hear you.
The same people who drive stock STI's, GTI's, Focus/Fiesta ST's... 50 year old guys in their mid life crisis.
>>17708631
Cant say ive seen a single rs driver above roughly 30. Subaru is mostly young guys who got some money or older asian guys in suits getting in touch with their young adulthood hooning days. Fist and fost usually driven buy wannabe enthusiasts and midlife crisis crowd.
Anyone tried it?
What's a good LWB RWD platform to use?
Honestly a miata with a limited slip and either some extra power or some skinnier rubber is pretty good for city streets because you can get it sliding at low speeds. You can't carry a lot of angle though because of short wheelbase.
I guess also a Toyota 86 would be pretty good if not better. Longer wheelbase.
Gas yourself.
BMW e36 or a 240SX

FUCK this
My car rolled back into the Jeep behind me.
How do you properly navigate these types of lights.
Hand brake / Rev it a little while clutch is in.
Not that hard nigger.

ITT: the worse piece of shit you've ever owned.
I've owned some really, really sitty cars in my life. Like, some fucking BAD ones. But the worst was my 84 Plymouth Turismo 2.2. Oh god, how much that sorry excuse for an automobile sucked.
My current car. I've sunk far more into it than I payed for it in less than a year.
>>17706932
What have you done to it? Do you hate driving it or just the fact that it's needed so much work?
Granted that it was well abused before I got ahold of it, but holy shit what a pain in the ass! And then it does nothing bad but also nothing well on top of it.
Ford bros, red pill me on what I should do:
>want a cheap-ish ranger for DD
>found 2004, 121k miles
>has decent records on autocheck for maintenance for 50k of it
>owner claims he has had it at daily for maintenance since owner, but he is 2nd owner
>might have the v6 4.0, not sure
>owner seems like a middle aged guy
>retard wants double what its worth - as always on craigslist
If I can get him to a low price, is a decent history of maintenance records a good enough sign? Most of these old rangers can go to 250k easily
What's he asking?

I have a type r and a mint gsr integra. I get offers nearly monthly from dealerships in my area. I gotten in the 30s for each. Before you ask why I haven't taken the offer...they are both worth more to me and will be worth more in the near future. When I say mint...i mean dealer spec... both sit in a climate controlled garage
