Convince me not to buy this car in Misano blue.
Convince me to get vesuvio grey or I will buy this blue. I'm 26

Ftype is better

its not a smart fortwo....
I have a 2011 golf sportline with the 2.5L i5.
How much would it be to safely put a turbo on it and get the power to at least 250hp? And, is it worth it?
>>17711111
Ayy quints with the 5 cylinder, it's a sign. Do it op
It's a golf it's never worth it
Hope you have a numale beard to go with it
sell it and buy an gti
>accidentally held my foot down on the gas pedal while I started my car
>redlined it for about 3-4 seconds before realizing
did I damage my engine
No you fucking idiot
I hope you can afford a new car.
>>17711091
Well I mean technically revving past ~3k before the oil reaches operating temperature can damage the lifespan of some of the parts but once won't hurt it
>want lightweight sports car
>possible HCCI miata over the horizon
>base supra might be the hotter gt86 everyone wanted
should i just buy a 2009+ cayman s now or wait? i've already waited like 3 years for a... br-z sti which is why i can afford a 987.2 cayman s lmao
>>17711081
I'd wait if I were you, the used car will always be there but you'll be kicking yourself if the Supra/Miata turns out to be really good
>>17711094
sigh, looks like it's gonna be another year of driving my shitbox then
>>17711134
If you're not joking about the shitbox, why don't you just buy a cheap NA or NB Miata to keep you entertained for the time being? They can be had for around $3000 USD, depending on where you live obviously.
Is this a good deal?

>>17711046
Even if you could talk them down to 10K, it's still a non tt 300zx.
>>17711068
It's still fun tho, isn't it?
Thats a fantastic deal, the non twin turbo 300zx is very reliable and will last you many years if you treat it well. 10, 000 original miles? If i were you id be all over it.
Just bought a focus ST, roast me /o/. Also what else could I have bought for 16k$ 2013 with 35,000 miles.
I approve, although I'm partial to GTI or maybe an old beamer because apparently the shit reliability memes are just that for some models.
Although my whole family has Ford's and they seem to be solid enough cars, so I'm thinking about a FIST or FOST when I'm out of school. For now it's 5pot golf with the shittiest modern manual shifter ever
>>17710835
>the most obnoxious color
>16k$ 2013 with 35,000 miles.
A V8 stang if looked hard and got decently lucky.
That price-point, probably 50k miles though.
What's better for a new driver? I'm looking for a reliable yet fun ride.
>>17710659
VW doesn't do reliable.
If you want a fun reliable beginner car, the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Ford Focus, and GM J-bodies (Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire) are the go to vehicles.
There could be a nuclear apocalypse and those cars will still be running around.
>>17710908
Such a meme
EU Vw's are more than reliable because they're not made by mexicans
>>17712767
>EU Vw's are more than reliable
objectively not
I have a 2014 FRS and I'm getting ready to put in a sub+amp. I really like loud and obnoxious car rattling bass, but I also like sometimes to have smooth vibrating bass for rides with the ladies. Is there any setup that would allow me to switch between the two at will or am I forced to pick one or the other? What would you suggest for a good sound setup?
Feel free to make fun of me if you desire, as long as you offer advice.
>What would you suggest for a good sound setup?
Sell your car and buy a new luxury sedan/coupe (Porsche 911, C63S AMG, etc.) those things have amazing audio systems and will sound better than any shit you put on your current car.
>>17710648
>Sound system
>FRS
>For the ladies
You almost had me until you mentioned the vibrating bass for the ladies
6/10 bait
a little bit of subtlety goes a long way
A quality sound system with a bass knob inline so you can turn it up or down. 12s are generally thicker and looser, 10s are tighter, 8s more so, 10s are probably a good balance. Ported or sealed is your other decision to make. I'd look into some kind of 10s/12s combo if you wanna be a trunkpacking nigger, or you can just get high quality 12s and adjust them. I run Alpine Type Rs in sealed boxes, only 1000 watt amp when I should have a 2000, still destroys shit or can be more subtle if I turn down the bass.
http://blog.caranddriver.com/mazda-to-launch-skyactiv-x-engine-with-compression-ignition-in-2019/
Isn't it a little misguided to be so committed to gas to have developed this tech despite the growing prevalence of electrics? Why is Mazda the only(?) large manufacturer to not have a hybrid/electric vehicle?
>>17710631
because Mazda is awesome
Mazda sells PHEVs in Japan, and can just borrow Toyota technology. Mazda recognizes that there will still be a market for ICE for awhile and that the infrastructure for an EV world isn't there yet.
>mazda
>large
They're one of the smallest, which is good for them. They can afford to be different.
Because Mazda knows that ice isn't going away
What makes a Subaru a Subaru?

shitty slow ugly cars sold to the masses

makes sense.
Marriage for all, just like drive for all wheels.
Really? Fucking really? Cars now need to remind people not to leave their children and dogs in their car to overheat to death? It is now the responsibility of cars to do this?
...fucking hell...
Side view cameras and lane change sensors eliminate the need to shoulder check. You can't expect people to swivel look behind themselves can you? C'mon.
>dont put anything in rear seat
>see this warning
spooky
>>17710421
How else would women, niggers, chinks, blondes, rich people, shitbag teenagers, and just all around pieces of one trick dumbass people drive vehicles these days anon.
The car industry would be a less profitable market if they didn't market to these people.
They want their "Safety."
These days your average soccer mom, dumb bitch, dickless guy, or midlife crisis victim looks for cars that have 200 airbags, self parking, lane warnings, self braking, 50 cameras, and 20 autistic LCD screens that can satisfy them and their autistic children.
The people who buy new cars are the same people who work simply to live day to day and are content in being adept in only one thing, their job, which they are probably already under qualified to do.
This is all the modern day car is, a dull sad tool that teaches people to never learn how to drive and uses technology we can't fully adopt yet.
What kind of car does your mom drive?
Just wondering because all the cars my mom has owned have been under $3,500 econoboxes with lots of miles that she only occasionally drives. Is this an universal mom thing? My mom could afford a new car but has stuck with buying cheap used cars from buy here pay here lots every 5 years or so.
>>17710066
>What kind of car does your mom drive?
Your dick, lmao get rekt
new blob SUV
2015 Buick encore premium fwd
She got it for $19k like 6? Months ago
Why hasn't anyone made a company to build old cars out of production again?
Because it's financially unfeasable
Icon, FJ Company.
kit cars have been around forever
I just payed $4000 for this. Did I make a good choice, /o/?

FWD Caddillac Eldorado. One in the front to replace the tiny 500ci and the other in the trunk.
