Is this car worth $100k? I'm thinking of buying one.
>Is this car worth $100k?
No, too overpriced. Better get an Audi S6.
>>14688724
It's 85k faggot, and I would only if it didn't catch on fire like the Vettes
>>14688728
I'm not too keen on Euro trash. Jap or 'murican is my preference tbqh
>>14688738
I did that "build your car" thing, and with the carbon fiber package, recaro seats, and bunch of other extras it came out to $100k
You guys know anything about aftermarket car stereos?
Trying to get something really loud for my car and at a reasonable price (i'm not trying to get ripped off)
Was thinking 2 subwoofers and 4 speakers? 1 for each door type of thing.
You guys know more than me so what's a good set-up?
>>14688469
Cerwin Vega stroker and us amps vlx-400
>You guys know anything about aftermarket car stereos?
No but I know a thing or two about mixing sound and there is such a thing as too much bass. 2 subs for 4 speakers is nigger territory.
Order off the internet, unless you know a good spot in town because retail stores will fucking gouge you.

These guys have some high powered stuff for a good price but that might be a lot of power for what your looking for.
two sound qubed subs in the $800 range is close to 3000 watts which would require a high output alternator, and obviously a good amp, racking up the $$
What the fuck do you think, faggots?

stylin'
Those are the first aftermarket wheels I've seen that actually fit the car.
Pretty snazzy. How much for the wheels and tires?
Just bought this 2011 2dr Rubicon with 19k mi, 3.8L 6spd for 22k
My first jeep, so not sure what to do in terms of mawdz
My question is, is chipping and running it a viable option, considering warranty (got 5yrs) and have to take it off before servicing.
How complicated is it to take the chip off before I take the car to the dealer in case some shit goes wrong?
Anyone have experiences with chipping jeeps?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I had a Scion xD lease (credit reasons) that I am super glad to finally get past and become a proud owner of a great vehicle, in other words, "/o/ certified".

>buying a Chrysler product
You dun goofed

>How complicated is it to take the chip off before I take the car to the dealer in case some shit goes wrong?
What chip?
The concept of chipping applies ONLY to vehicles built from 1988 and 1995. Those cars are OBD1 and had a removable chip that would need to be reprogrammed. Nothing was standardized so the difficulty of removing/installing ships varied vehicle to vehicle. The lack of standardization is why all 1996+ vehicles got OBD2.
With OBD2, there is no such thing as chipping. To change the computer tune, you plug a laptop into the OBD2 port (legally required to be within 12 inches of the steering wheel inside the car) and download a tune onto the factory computer. So much simpler.
However, in many cases, the factory computer you reflash will keep track of when the tune was changed. This is usually found on cars the automaker expects to be commonly modified so they can sniff out morons who modify a car, said modification ruins the car, and then expect the factory to pay for the dumbass's mistake via the warranty.
TLDR: it's impossible to chip any 1996+ car/truck. There's no chip to remove/replace.
This is one of the finest quality trolls I've seen on /o/ in a while.
i r8 ur b8 8/8 m8 well worth the h8
you almost had me, up until you mentioned leasing a Scion xD and calling a Wrangler a "great vehicle"
Thoughts on their future?
>>14688379
Gonna go bankrupt again.
>>14688390
This and hopefully we don't bail them out this time. Chrysler is run by complete and utter morons.
chrysler never deserved to exist
What's the catch? Or are the people who buy these for $150,000+ just dumb?
>>14688320
They depreciate really really hard. The catch however can be title status, mileage, number if owners, or problems/condition
Even the lugnuts are designed retarded.
>>14688320
it's been hooned to death by a teen with a rich daddy, so it's a ticking money pit
Should i get a Toyota celica or honda civic As a beater car to protect my dd from salt?
Depends on the celica. I'd say anything is fine apart from the 140hp 7th gen.
>being cucked out of driving nice cars in the winter due to some salt sprinkled on the road

>>14687873
>not wanting your car to last longer

from what ive seen at the start of the movie (lol not seen the mangas) it seems to be a twin-rotary with ceramic rotors, wide tires, electronic ABS (which is basically standar on all vehicles) and a redline of AT LEAST 12k rpm (which is not very high considering rotaries rev very high, same with bike engines).
Could this 200hp monster exist? and reach at least 150 mph? And when i mean "exist" i mean copying exactly the same amount of features that the movie shows it has. Even with that terrible handling due to its front tire placement.
>>14687223
Yes
>>14687223
If the Tomahawk exists I don't see why not.
Ceramic rotors? Sounds like it would be hot shit for a few hundred miles then slowly start to fracture and explode

How many of you have a girlfriend AND a nice car? Is it possible? What do you do for a living?
>>14686183
I have a nice car, working on the girlfriend thing.
Money and cars are easy. Finding a female I can stand for long periods is not.
I'm happy to say I have both. I've got a small 6spd s10 for work ($900) and an old Toyota GTS for play and tuning ($2000 plus $ for bullshit)
GF doesn't much care for cars but digs the excitement of what they can do and how it's a puzzle to fix and repair them.
I work as a union carpenter apprentice (15/hr) and live with my gear head family at home.
9/10 life wish I had a foxbody
