what's the dumbest sleeper idea you've had? right now i'm considering buy a zx3 focus and using the fswerks turbo kit to give enough horsepower to destroy the local ricers around here. the focus is pretty lightweight as it is and i could reduce the weight even further without much effort after installing the turbo.

OP, buy an SVT and badge it as a base model.
Mine is less grounded in reality, and by less I mean almost not at all.
A van. Like an Express. Crank 800+ horses and like 850+ lb-ft and completely overhaul the suspension for street performance.
The only problem is that these have very high-profile tires because van, so the moment you bring down the size of the tire and up the size of the rim, it's gonna be noticeable.

What good will that do? They have different front and rear fascias, rocker panels, wing and wheels from base models.
Hey there /o/, i want you to know why im so down and need your help. Either finding an alternative way to get a decent loan or a newer car that wont make me hate myself.
Im about to graduate college with a BA in Maritime Business and Law, and ive always dreamed of buying a classic car to DD in once i graduate. But i just found out my credit union wont give out loans for anything "old". So i need an alternative vehicle to strive for.
>inb4 "buy a cheap project"
im looking for a DD, basically how people get a newer car when they grad, i just want one from the 60-70's thats been restored
>inb4 "save up cash, dont buy from stealership"
like above, im wanting a restored one, and its gonna take some time to save up 20k in cash, especially while driving my shit heap.
Im looking for something up to 20k, cheaper is obviously better, but im not looking to buy someone elses old beater.
What i wanted:
My main goal was a classic, but not one of the big ones (mustang, 69 camaro, charger, etc) due to boomer cost, but more for the semi overlooked ones (70's camaro, early monte carlo, 4 door impalas, etc). My requirements were simple for them; mpg over 14, and reliable while nice looking. Fairly simple.
It would be great if y'all could tell me what would be another way i could get a loan for one that wont kill me.
Reason why i didnt want a new vehicle was due to all the plastic and computer BS in them (all thats gone wrong on mine), but it seems ill just have to accept it. Ive always liked the new challengers, and the new camaro isnt bad, but those insurance rates kinda scare me away from them. I like large vehicles, so unless i can get a "muscle" car, ill be looking into fullsize trucks/SUVs. Any suggestions?
I dont need top of the line model, but i guess some creature comforts would be nice. I really only want american made.
So what should i look into?

Hello /o/ I don't browse here too ofter, I want your advice on whats a good second hand car I could get for £2000 or £3000 max.
I would like anything that can take me from A to B, which doesn't consume that much, or like a family car if it gives you any ideas so 4 doors.
If you also got a link online that would help, maybe gumtree to that car?

Hey /o/ I want to boost my car. Engine is a Honda K24. My question is, what will be the most reliable for everyday driving between a supercharger and a turbo? Trusted companies make both for my specific engine and money is not an issue. I know any F/I increases engine wear and can cause issues down the line. But I'd like your opinions on what will be the most durable and dependable for my 50 mile a day commute.

it is if you want a heavy slow piece of shit that can't turn
If you like the car. It's kind of a personal decision, but dealerships usually mark up prices heavy on their used cars. That being said, they would probably be less likely to sell you a lemon than the average person.
Talk to me about car design these days, /o/. How can it be fixed? What are the problems even? It can't JUST be over-regulation and too many safety standards, it can't JUST be pedestrian safety.
how can we get good looking cars again?
It actually is. Hood must be x height above highest point of engine bay. Beltline follows suit to maintain a sensible look. Normies think that their boring cars are more exciting if they're massively over designed and angry. There is no hope.
nothing wrong with modern car design

This is for a towing harness, not a radio, but it seems like a similar standard, but I just don't know what they are called or who makes them or how to pick it out of all the others
How can I find a mating piece for this? 13 pins, two are for a lower gauge wire/bigger pin. Seems to say UA-14 on the red piece.
Continued:
The official volvo harness is discontinued because it's so old. (part number 8698078)
Curt makes a 4 pin harness that you don't even connect to this because they'd rather have you get into your light harness directly, even though there is this purpose made harness hanging out in your car waiting for you to plug your wiring into it.
This is just my autism. It upsets me to cut into this perfectly innocent harness to directly splice the trailer wiring into it just for want of a connector. But I'll do it if I have to.
Not even a 'gtfo faggot'?

Go to nearby uhaul center. They should have a quick connect for it. Part number should start with a CQT.

1997 Toyota Camry XLE 3.0 V6
The other day I finally got around to installing new headlights (the whole fixture). The old ones had 312,000 miles of haze and scratches. The old ones were almost perfectly aligned both vertically and horizontally. The new ones on the other hand... have been a total bitch to align. The passenger side light seems fine, but the drivers side is aimed way to far to the right (towards the passenger side and curb). Not just a little off, I mean its hugging the curb. I have tried adjusting it horizontally as far as the adjuster screw will physically allow, but it just barley came over to left. Still hugging the beam on the right.
But here is the part that just blows my mind. When I flip on the brights, both beams are pointed way to left. Turn off the brights and now its back to the right.
Just how exactly do you properly align these things and why are the bright beams not in line with the low beams. The brights and lows are the same physical bulb, so why are the beams so differently aligned.
