Should I buy a motorcycle instead of a car? I just turned 18 and I'm trying to save up money to get a car, but I'm finding that insurance is going to be a fuck ton of money(I'm working in fast food part time)along with the car itself, and I think a motorcycle would be a more enjoyable way of transportation anyway.
My parents are not too happy about the idea of me getting a motorcycle but I am 18 so they really have no say in it, but I will still consider their thoughts.
Is a motorcycle dangerous as fuck even if I don't act like a massive dummy on it? How much is the insurance?

A bike like that might be, you only live once, also only die once. Also could be maimed. Depends on climate as well, you should probably get a bike insurance quote too, its just lower not because you are safer on bike, you can't do as much damage to other people and things as all is the logic. Theft insurance is usually more. Might be a wash, sucks to be young, really. Well sucks to be old, in fact the world just sucks all around now.
a bike as a DD is literally a horrible idea and only horrible people do it. you're better off buying a piece of human shit for a vehicle like a honda and saving your money to get a bike recreationally instead of your only means of getting somewhere.
my first vehicle was a 1976 500 cc yamaha
i loved it
it freaked my grandparents out so much that used it to go to work that they bought me a car
if you're careful they're not terribly dangerous
Where do you guys get your replacement parts from?
I just ordered a new clutch master cylinder from amazon.
>>14680452
Ipd for obscure parts or large orders
FCP Euro for bits and pieces because $50 free shipping that arrives in two days
Vatozone for hardware like remanned calipers
Very rarely amazon
Volvo master race

I take them off cars in the long-term lot at the airport.
Or jump the fence at the salvage yard.
rockauto
So I got this check engine light on my car, what do?
What's the best place to take my car for a diagnostic test, free or cheap?
What car you retard
A paperclip if it's OBD1
ElM327 if it's OBD2
Bend over if it's anything else proprietary.
Buy a code reader and save money for the rest of your life
Why are 2 door cars disappearing?
>>14679760
Because they're not?
Is there data saying they sell less now?
>>14679760
Because new car buyers need more doors for their wife's children
I haven't examined the issue at all, but it's a safe bet to assume that the Jews have something to do with this. Maybe SUVs have a higher profit margin.
So I was spraying some stuff last weekend. The spray started sputtering, and afterwards I realized paint flecks had gotten onto my car.
Advice on how to get it off? Did a high-pressure clean and rubbing today, but it barely budged.
>>14679672
gasoline or ethanol usually does the trick!
>>14679672
Makes it look purtier.
Try goo-gone
>>14679672
If the spray is just rattle can stuff, gas should take it off.
As long as you car has an actual paint job, the gas shouldn't hurt it.
Had a 2010 for 5 years, barely spent 1k on non-routine maintenance. For 2013 they uprated the engine to 330hp, added an 8spd auto trans, and upgraded the nav/telematics
>>14679322
I would not spend $25k on a Hyundai. I'd buy a slightly older Lexus or BMW if I wanted a comfy classy sedan.
For 25k you can get a Lexus GS 350, Honda Civic, Camry, Ford Focus St. Too many better options to chose Korean genesis

>korean second-rate Mercedes-Benz knockoff
It's been a good year now, and not a single day has passed without me thinking of getting a Nissan Skyline r34.
So my question is simple. The price of 14k isn't a problem. The ''problems'' are the costs of keeping such a car for personal use.
Can i, as someone who makes 1400euros per month, Netto, afford such a car? after i paid everything for the month (food, rent, electriciyt etc) i have around 700 euros left for me.
Can i afford it?
Is it even worth it? Does anyone in here own this beauty?
Thanks guys.
Du wirst keinen brauchbaren GTR für 14k kriegen. Und was willst du mit einem nicht-GTR?

Hi /o/
I'm currently converting a 1991 SW20 MR2 to all wheel drive, using a cosworth MT75 gearbox, and running the diff upside down.
The engine I'll be using a nissan VQ35, which I will be destroking to 2litres for rally regulations, and will be using a single IHI Turbine.
I'm currently cutting the transmission tunnel, and my angle grinders a peice of shit, does anyone have any tips here? I've got through 6 of these fucking wafer thin discs so far, all they do is snap into peices.
>Pic related, its the tunnel I'm cutting out the car. Its where the fuel tank would normally be but I'll be running one single carbon fibre fuel cell in the passenger footwell.

Does anyone speak janitor?
I speak some spanish.
I think it says:
Does anyone knows what potential (might refer to voltage) you can put to/on 4 6×9 speakers of 100 watts ( not sure what the "rms" stands for)
Thank you

So /o/ I need your opinion on a possible buy that I'm about to make within the next few months.
I have on offer a BMW 745i/a e23 - all bone stock with 49k original miles. Executive line interior package.
Or an BMW 850Ci e31 with the 6 speed manual tranny also bone stock but in need of some new leather on the seats 60k original miles on it.
Both cars would cost me the same amount of money, as I am a cheap fuck that would drive these beauties only on the weekend or for a special occasion I'd want to be able to recoup my money after the love affair is over.
So in your opinion which one of these two should i go with for some weekend cruising and maybe a local car meet or two ? Maintenance cost is 0 for both as my father in law is an owner of a mixed Audi/BMW/VW service station.
Oh and do keep in mind im Europoor and not from the US. Wanted to ask this question on bimmerforums etc but don't want to live through a flame war about the auto or manual tranny and the V12 engine of the e31...
Thank you in advance anons !
>>14678691
I'd go with the 850ci, perfect weekend car, but I'm real biased cause I don't know much about the 745. Damn the 850ci is such a beautiful car.
>>14678712
indeed it is...
>>14678691
An 850ci with a 6 speed manual is a unicorn and is appreciating every year. (so is the E23 but the E31 does so more apparently)
go for the 8 series
Looking at purchasing an 85' toyota single cab diesel, has 2.4L 2LT and 5 spd transmission plus intercooler and other mods. what do you guys think itll be worth here state side? 2LT fairly reliable, seems to be from what I've read...
>>14677615
RHD or LHD? ive got a gas '81 4x4, 85 would be the last year of solid front axle so theyre worth a fair bit. even mine with no box and patched frame people come to my door asking if its for sale
>>14677622
LHD so far as I know, has been rebuilt and restored
Haven't gotten eyes on it yet but pictures and video sent and seems to run like a top, engine rebuilt in a certified shop less than a year ago. I know the deisels Ive seen generally go for pretty high prices even the engines and transmissions alone are spendy when you can find them from time to time posted through craigslist
>>14677615
Bump, just lookin for what someone would be willing to pay for a vehicle as described...
So for the fun of it, I'm building a ford essex v6 from 95. It's in my mustang and since I have a 5.0 I thought I'd make a sleeper v6. I've already found parts from a 97 v6 f150 so I'm gonna bore it to a 4.2 (my cousin have a machine shop and owes me big time). I'm gonna use the crank from the f150 also. I'm also gonna go split port with the heads from a 01 v6 mustang and the windstar intake. Will this combo be good overall? Please send opinions.
$10 this is that riced v6 sn95 mustang faggot
Seriously just v8 swap it or turbo it on stock internals.
Run twin garret gt17's off each bank at 8 pounds of boost, run ford 40lb injectors and get a trans&oil cooler.
Good tune should do 30-350whp on 93
>>14677002
I already have pretty much what you just said planned out for my 5.0. I'm just having fun with this engine since I have to rebuild it anyway. I plan to throw in a single turbo in this one though
