Tuning culture post-oil will be cyberpunk as fuck, and way cooler.
>Hey nice ride, buddy. Done anything?
>Yeah, precision wround 2KA stators, bro. Full CNC squirrels. 700kW inverter each wheel. 0-60 in 3
>Sweet. Controller?
>Custom per-wheel torque logic, dude. uploaded racing PIDs and got it sampling at 2k on an aftermarket FPGA. Flashed a race inverter profile, too.
>Sick, man. Bet it chops Tesla Z's
>*chuckles* You bet. I was thinking a cap regen next. They're a bit rice though.
>Better off saving up for 20c liths, I reckon. At least I'm glad I did for my Miata conversion.

It's nice innit?
Just 'cause there's something with MORE luxury features doesn't mean that cars that aren't Mercedes don't qualify.

Germ here, I'd take a Lexus over a Shitcedes any day of the week. For a start, Lexi can be driven for 10 years without replacing every single part of the car and going in for repairs every 4 weeks.
Literally no Mercedes was ever made that didn't suffer from the most inane electrical problems. The other day at a workshop I overheard a C class from the early 00s coming back again after a few weeks for the same issue, SRS light and engine light.
Mercedes simply cannot build a car that doesn't go faulty after 8 to 10 years. And when it goes faulty once, it keeps going faulty again and again.
Pieces of fucking shit.
Is there any reason to drive a manual anymore other than personal enjoyment? automatics can now simulate manual quite well. Also automatics are faster than manuals and are the same or better in almost every way.
>>14755411
>americanos
>>14755411
In older cars it's still better, also, manuals tend to be easier/cheaper to maintain.
The fact that you can brake on the engine is also a plus, tho VW's PDK has removed the need for double clutching.
I have actually never driven an automatic before though, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Fuck off Jimmie.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If Chebby can make their Camaro lighter, why can't other car manufacters do the same?
BMWs keep getting heavier
Mustang gained 200lbs
Corollas are now 2900lbs
2850lb Civics
3500lb 370z
The last gen Camaro was very fat, lots of room for weight reduction. Other cars, not so much.
Making it lighter, yes
By reducing the amount of windows
>>14752981
The side windows are 1in taller than the 5th gen, according to car and driver.
Post your projects/daily's

Why is BMW so fucking bad?
I fucking hate bmw owners they are the worst people
>>14749397
BMWs are making important strides to improve though, I heard they're adding turn signals for the 2017 model year
Why are you so buttmad?
Thinking of trading in my 2014 Mustang GT for this Evo. It has had the transmission replaced under warranty by Mitsubishi.
It has about 30k miles and one owner. It's the MR.
I live in the salt belt, so AWD with good tires might be better for DD.
Do it.
