Looking for something cheaper on insurance and interesting. I've technically got ~11k USD to work with but I only want to spend around $5000.
Here's a couple cars I'm looking at...what do you guys think? I'm in the Tampa Bay area of FL.

Clean SR5 with a rotary?
http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto/5517793299.html
Low-mile special edition sentra....nothing special but I used to have one of these and it was a great little car
http://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/cto/5517355645.html
found a nice looking Nissan pickup...
http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto/5509941699.html
decent looking 8-cylinder Q45?
so far I'm most interested in the SR5 but I don't know how that will go over with insurance and I've never worked on a rotary engine before....
>>14823236
I feel bad that nobody has replied to you anon. Have a free bump
>>14823236
>so far I'm most interested in the SR5
after seeing the rest me too
then again, I just punch out whenever I see automatic
if you don't mind, the sentra looks nice
a little worried about the caps lock though
>>14823236
Go with the truck...Your in Florida, so little chance of rust...
I'm a manchild who's never gotten a job I couldn't take the MBTA to. I might be getting one outside of the city. I've just realized I'm incredibly nervous about getting my license especially since I'm 24 and never was taught anything about driving.
Will /o/ be my new dad and teach me how to drive?
>watch initial D
>become expert driver
>>14822894
Learn as much as you can about whichever car you're driving. You need to know what every switch, button, lever, etc. is for. Read a training manual from your state's DMV or whatever. Figure out what, "yield" means. The most important thing is to PAY ATTENTION. Stay off your fucking phone.
>>14822894
no. take this seriously and read a book on defensive driving.
hey ausfags, how does it feel to know your car industry is dying this year?
Feels good, ay?
I haven't bought an Australian car since 2000, been grey importing from Japan since 1999 :o
>>14821872
fuck off OP im not even an aussie but you shouldn't be making fun of this
its like you actually want nothing but SUVs
I'm revving at 3600 rpm at 80mph.
Could I lower this by putting on larger rear tires?
>>14821770
Yes at the cost of more difficult acceleration and lowering mpgs.
Your speedo will be off though
>>14821770
swap your diff
>>14821811
I'm running 14s with a shorter tire so I was thinking of bumping it up to 15s with a tall tire in the rear.
Do you think it'll make much of a difference?
I'm running 3:73 gears with a 4 speed manual.
Alright /o/,
What is the fastest NEW car I can buy for around 20k that is NOT a Ford, a Chevy, a Toyota, a Honda, or pic related?
wew lad
Who gives a fuck when a used car is faster?
>>14827891
>someone before you farted in your seats
>someone before you rubbed one out on your steering wheel
>someone before your gf propped their feet on your dash
big glass
big wheels
no angry face
glass is big
big wheels isn;t necessarily a good thing and those wheels are uggo
still somewhat angry face
>>14826652
>no angry face
There is literally nothing wrong with angry face.
>>14826652
The greenhouse looks retardedly big though. The entire upper portion of the car reminds me of the bubbly Ford Taurus gen.
They should lower it two inches, then shove the seats further down to accommodate if they have to.
Post your garages and equipment, judge others and be judged yourself!
>>14825689
Nobody here has a garage or actually works on cars for that matter.
>>14826063
Should've remembered that...
>Australians
Is Australia considered a bizarro Canada? A barren wasteland, with aboriginals, and everything is on fire instead of covered in snow?
>>14824107
don't forget our fucking shit car market where we get charged out of our fucking assholes, but yeah more or less the same.
Australia would be a nice place if not for all the australians
I really like the idea of HUDs, and all the possibilities they have.
How cool would it be to have holograms of random bits of information through the windshield?
For example, if you were looking for Chinese restaurants, you could tell the navigation to show all Chinese restaurants in the vicinity, and all them would show markers in virtual space through the windshield. Marked buildings hidden behind taller buildings would show markers risen high enough to be seen from behind them, like in Sly Cooper 2 and 3.
I wonder how long it will be before someone hacks dicks all over them.
>>14824055
I like the idea, but it would be taking distracted driving to a whole new level. I know hud already exists in some cars but it's usually in cars that aren't owned by stacy.
>>14824055
It would need to be extremely well designed.
I wonder if they could so something similar to fighter aircraft where they have a glass HUD.
I don't think it's practical to do it on the windshield.
>drive with traffic
>car reports economy of 9.5 l/100km
>late for work
>boost all the way there like a madman
>Google says 25 mins, make it in 12
>8.1 l/100km
Why does this happen? Same route, basically same number of lights. I was half-launching pretty much every stop, pulling close to redline before every shift. Various publications have stated "stick to the speed limits to improve fuel economy", is this a jewish meme or what?
Pic related.
>>14823056
sick car what mods do you have
the first mod i did on mine was a short throw dipstick
>>14823079
Enjoy your premature engine oil failure.
>>14823079
All stock son. Tune (Cobb AP) will probably be my first upgrade.
Whats /o/'s opinion on this car? Gt86 front mk4 supra rear and v8 driven by a lady
>>14823036
Which chassis is it using?
>>14823036
perfect combo
V8? 1UZ?
Greetings, viewers. Eric the Car Guy here, back again with another episode of Fixing it Forward with the 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R. This hopefully will be the last episode with this Nissan as you're reading this in my voice.
>>14821760
>stay dirty
What did he mean by this?
I've learned a couple things from this guy
>>14821793
Sadly he turned more and more into Eric the Hack Guy as he got more into the sponsored shit.
His channel has gonne to shit. Can't take any criticism and goes full autistic on the people that comment even when and especially when hes called for doing something wrong.
I used to like the guy, but apparently he has turned into a massive douchebag these last years. Or, he was a douchebag from the start (I gotta confess he had some vibes) but being on a lower hand/position made him more humble. Now that things are going food for him, he starts to show his true colours.
>just got license
>want to get a car
>will have to pay 350+ for insurance a month
>cars are overpriced
>get fucked with HST when buying a used car
>get fucked with registration fees
>but have to wait 5 months to get a specialist appointment for anything
How the fuck is a 20 year old carpentry apprentice suppose to afford paying this ludicrous price a month. Everything is so fucking marked up here it is insane.
>>14820740
where the fuck are you?
>>14820746
I should have included, this is in the Canada, the GTA specifically. Mississauga to be even more specific.
Be a man and get a flatbed pickup
Looking for choke plungers for a 1986 honda shadow 700 please let me know if you have anything relevant or know anything

I really love the look of the CLA 250 / CLA 45 and I test drove them and they were amazing.
I know the CLA 250 gets a shit ton of hate due to its slow speeds and cheap price.
What about the CLA 45? It's around 20k more and much faster. Of course I am not talking about r9k because you faggots hate everything but just the universal view? Is it just the 250 that gets hate or the whole CLA class?
>>14826961
daily reminder that you can pay $58k for a FWD mercedes
>>14826961
How much is a CLA45?
Please don't tell me it's more than a Hellcat.
They are nice cars but boring as a drivers car.
M235i or m2 is much better option
