So has anyone here had experience doing a Defensive Driving course?
I got a ticket a month or so ago for turning left at a green light which apparently was turned into a no left turn but didn't realize it because the sign itself was in the far right lane while I was in the left when it happened. Long story short, I got 2 points on my license which I was told I can remove for taking a defensive driving class.
So last night I look up if AAA in my area was doing a class and lo and behold they were having one the next day.
I immediately registered, but after I did I found out I could take it online which is cheaper and would be better since I can take it at my own pace and not wake up early.
Of course though, there is no option to cancel your reservation asap. I contacted AAA to say I can't make the class and if I could get a refund. Unfortunately I can only cancel by calling but the class itself starts at 9am and the office itself doesn't open until 9am.
What do I do???
Go to the class and quit being scared of people
>>14865844
It's not so much the people. It's getting up early to drive 30 min to the class and finding parking and shit. Plus the online class is cheaper.
You might make a friend if you go to the class
What do you guys think would be good choice for babbys first classic car restoration project? That is something not terribly expensive, something where I can find spares relatively easily and where the body isn't likely to be rusted to shit.
A truck.

MGB goes in all fields.
They're cheap, they're mechanically simple, they've got a better parts availibility than every classic car other than the Ford Mustang and Model A, and they're very economical to run. The rubber bumper ones have a low-compression 4-cylinder engine, so they run great on regular 87-octane, and the 1977-and-up models have a 12-volt electrical system. Just check them for rust.

Corvairs, mgb is gay and wrong.
New production corvair parts are being made as well>>14865301
Yes, I said it /o/ users. I want to lease a car/truck. My question is, what is the best bang for the buck out there? Looking for about 10k miles a year, two or three year lease. Kinda had my eyes on the F150. Any ideas?
>inb4 leasing is dumb, buy a shitbox, etc.
This vehicle is to be used, abused, and thrown away. I already own a sports car and bike, and have no interest in driving a shitbox nor making massive payments on a vehicle I don't intend to keep.
Truck fag here, do you want the truck or need the the truck?
Trucks are not economical at all to lease(theyre overpriced as fuck new and get shit gas mileage)
Also you said you want a vehicle to use and abuse, have you ever tried to turn in an abused lease vehicle? Get ready to get cucked by fees.
If you want to abuse it get an old shitbox truck you idiot
>>14865224
>>14865241
It's simply a DD. "Abuse" means I'm not going to baby the thing like I own it with weekly washes and park at the back of the lot all alone. Perhaps poor word choice.
>>14865224
Trucks are actually extremely economical to lease as they do not depreciate much. This is the reason I am interested. Any actual use that requires a truck would be sparingly. Perhaps a few times a year I have to borrow a truck/SUV to carry something larger than what my tiny car can hold. Would be convenient to fit a bicycle in it tho but could live without. Mostly interested in the great rates, check out ford's website for their F150 lease incentives.
Well?

surely your car doesnt have any of this faggy shit, right anon?
It doesn't.
Also I don't have a car.
My Golf has a "sport" mode. I use it to get ahead of manual drivers at two lane red lights.
>>14863985
FC RX7 GXL had a "normal" and "sport" mode.
It was very effective.
Any 7th Gen owners on here? While I know they aren't fast, that doesn't stop me from absolutely loving mine. The looks (imo), the sound (Invidia N1), the handling, to me it's perfect. And if I had all the money, I wouldn't even buy a rwd or awd car, I'd buy two more Celicas and spend god awful amounts converting them.
Anyway, seems it's still a pretty striking car though, because just about any intersection I'm at, people break their necks checking it out going past.
Pic is my 04 GTS at the dealer before I bought it, I bought it just before winter hit and haven't taken any good pics of it yet.

How do you clean your engine?
Chevron with Techron(TM)
I don't. :/
brake clean for small spots, simple green for medium jobs, mineral spirits for large jobs. If the part(s) are iron then you can go with something a little more dangerous... lots of alkaline (basic) cleaners out there to choose from.
