Avoid 2004-2008 models, they have so many problems. They need better cooling if you're going to hoon them. The renesis is by far less reliable than the 13b in the rx7. The 04-08 is missing the central oil injector, the coil pack is shit from the factory, the catalytic converter traps heat and can push heat back into the engine if it fails or starts to fail and rotaries don't deal with heat well. 04-05 have weak starters that can lead to engine flooding. The coil pack and sparks must be replaced every 30k miles, even more frequently if it's tracked

Trying to buy a used car for around 5k and the mileage issue is fucking me up. So I've read that over 110,000 miles is probably to much, but when I search for cars between 50 to 100k I'm getting results for 15 year old cars with only 70k miles. And from what I've read (I don't know shit) this is bad because it means the car hasn't been driven enough.
Do I have to something somewhere in the middle here or are these old / low mileage cars in good condition? Can a ten year old car with 150k be worth buying, on the flip side?
Is there ANY way to tell without being a mechanic? Will an appraisal of the car put all of these concerns to rest? How do you find someone to do an appraisal?
I get that there's a sticky but there's a lot more going into this shit than what's posted there

Today as I was waiting for my new brake parts to come in I saw a really nice Red 240z parked in the lot.
Very noticeable car and colour, Every guy that walked by couldn't help but gaze at it. A bus driver even pulled over to get out and snap a picture. As I sat in my car waiting I saw about 12 Women walk by and not a single one even noticed the car or turned to look in it's general direction... This got me thinking, If these women can't even appreciate such a classic beautiful looking sports car then just exactly what do they care about in life? I know lots of girls who don't really have any interests other than going to the club and drinking. Why even live?
