I want to get a new navigation system for my 2009 Volkswagen Jetta... Any recommendations? I mostly want it for Bluetooth and to just be more modern looking. Not really willing to spend over 200 but if there's any good reason to then I will.

is this a good alternative to A jeep wrangler? My family owns a farm thats real rough and i kinda need/want a good 4x4 that could also pass as a city car (gas isn't too much of a problem desu) but the problem is there isnt a jeep vendor around here so if i bought one and it broke i would need to pay for them to send a mechanic and also to pay for his stay

It has decent resale value though, i know the interior can be upgraded but im not sure i would bother with the price.
I would really like the jeep desu but its real pricey where im from, even with a recent MASSIVE price drop it still goes around what is 47000$ for the 4 door with a few bells and whistles, i got intrigued by the fj cause all the doctors where i do my residency at seem to own One, altiugh desu i heard a few say they regret getting one after they heard kf the price drop o. Sti has ancient motor that takes 2 years to build boost.
Simple answer: want car now, get a WRX.
Has more torques than a sti, makes boost faster, cheaper, able to find one and at msrp if you look around.
I hate 4 door cars, but I've been looking around alot recently for the most fun for the money I can get. Considering WRX despite my hatred.

So I've bought an NA not too long ago. It's my second car and I got into the whole thing way to spontaneous, overseeing the rust and other things. The car has been trated poorly but I'm willing to give it the love it deserves.
I intend to repaint it since it's in absolute shit condition. I was thinking that if I'm gonna repaint it, I might as well paint it in a different color than red.
Since the repair and the paint is gonna swallow all of my monies, I'm gonna have to do further things on a budget. I was thinking metallic blue, in a World Rally Blue/Bayside Blue tone. Then plastidip the stock wheels black, making it look somewhat like pic related.
Furthermore I'd like to rip the interior out of everything non-vital and maybe look for used but high quality racing seats.
What's your take? Should I look into a different color? Or do you recommend me putting the money for the seats into something else?

I've got a head unit question. I have pic related and i'm trying to install it in my 2002 WRX.
I got a Subaru wiring harness and matched all the wires except for the orange 'illumination' wire, as i've been told that it causes issues.
I get power, but no sound. From reading up on the problem, it sounds like I need to connect a 'remote amp start' wire. There is one on the head unit harness, but not one on the Subaru harness I bought. I can see the blue/white wire, which is designated as the remote amp wire on the head unit connection schematic, on the car's harness (that you plug the adapter harness into).
My question is: Did I buy the wrong wiring harness or do I need to cut and splice the wire behind the harness plug into the head unit's harness directly? I'd obviously prefer to not mess with the stock wiring or connectors.

Found a chart of the pins in the connectors. According to this, there actually is no remote amp on wire in the factory harness.
So what could I be missing?

If memory serves, you don't have a remote wire in the stock harness. You may need to tap into the ignition wire, in the ignition of course. Or, you could tap into the wire that runs from your radio fuse in your fuseblock. You just need something that's 12V that turns on when you turn on your key.

Spent most of my day in the garage sanding and priming bits out of my engine bay, and then made a new battery tiedown for mad weight reduction. Now I'm making burgers for dinner.
I hate going out and socializing so I just stay at home like a loner. I'll go back out after dinner and work on the tiedown some more, and then since it's cleared up I'll go out and finish painting my intercooler pipes

i would stay away if it's 10+ years old - i had a 2003 tdi that was really fun to drive, manual transmission was great and super responsive, and i got like 35-45 mpg, but it just got too expensive to maintain. unless you're skilled at wrenching or don't mind shelling out for repairs, i would avoid older volkswagens in general
