Hello.
Going for my 3rd vehicle purchase after i sell my car.
I like 2 doors and i want rwd preferably but awd is acceptable....
Manual is also a preference.
My issue.....i like too many vehicles and they are all in my price range....
Anyone else ever have this problem. I have no brand loyalty....i have no engine favoritism...

Hey guys I might have messed up my car (kinda like pic related but not as good looking)
I recently picked up a Cobb accesport tuner and the tuner software, after driving around on the base maps for my mods I wanted more power so I decided to try and tune for myself. I wasn't sure exactly what to do but I decided to just raise all of the numbers across the board higher (fuel, ignition maps stuff like that) and go for a few pulls to data log. Well during one of the pull I heard a loud metallic kinda bang and my car starting flashing lights everywhere. Any help, I got it towed back to my garage because it wouldn't start.

So I got an amazing deal on a 2001 Allroa Quattro and after driving it I was amazed and just bought it on the spot, making the mistake of not doing some research.
This thing looks like a money time bomb. Many reviews saying air suspension inevitably goes out before 100,000 and transmission failure is common. Does anyone have experience with these things who knows if these horror stories are something to worry about - or good maintenance tips to offset Audi's faulty parts that cause this?

Is there such thing as a moddable, build it yourself ECU?
Most cars today come with ECUs, and they're a crucial part of any car, but they all seem to be these untouchable black boxes that everyone is afraid of and you never mess with. Plus they cost thousands of dollars.
Is there a build it yourself, moddable ECU that you can program however you like on the cheap? Have any of you tried it?
Kind of like a linux-tier ECU?

Sorry for blogposting, but I'm finally buying my first car on my own since starting my first "real" job. I'm upgrading from a 2003 autotragic PT Cruiser that had lots of issues, but it was given to me by my father so I couldn't turn it down.
The car I'm looking at is a 2013 Nissan Versa S (manual trans) with 29k miles on it. The dealer was asking $9k but I went to another Nissan dealer and made them price match so they quoted me at $7k.
I checked the VIN and carfax and there's no history of wrecks or damage, just a small scratch on the front passenger side door which I don't mind at all.
What do you guys think? Is this a good deal?

Try to find one with the T5 engine if you can. Godlike sound.
Besides that, they're kinda heavy, handle alright, aren't the fastest thing around but have enough push, and they're not very practical for a sensible Swedish hatchback.
They also look really goddamn good.
