Anyways people always have some shit to say like "daddy's car huh" or that I don't deserve it. Im labeled a spoiled brat, I'm ready to sell my car at this point bc I can't enjoy it.

Hey /o/, this is my first time posting here. I recently got a car, my first car. Its a 2002 Buick Lesabre. Just today about 40 minutes ago I started it up and there was this squeaking noise coming from the engine compartment. I want to say more specifically it was the belt but I cant be sure. I was wondering if any of you had some input on this.
Pic related, its my car

>>
check the belt, how does it look? it can also be power steering if there's a small hole, i would turn the wheels as well to be sure
>>
Very loud squeak?

Belts are very obvious, just open the hood and listen for the noise
>>
>>14979343
The belt is brand new, I just installed it saturday. As for the steering, it feels fine. I took it around the neighborhood and the steering was fine

hey /o/, I'm a cheap fuck who just wants some way of connecting an aux input to my original 1990 corolla head unit. Unfortunately, pic related works like shit and causes the sounds of children being raped by demons to play from my speakers.

Besides buying a new head unit (I like the look of the stock one), what are my options for a decent aux input? Are antenna bypass FM modulators any good? I'm not afraid to do some soldering and jury-rigging to wire an aux in but I'm not sure where to start.

thx

Buying a new head unit is your best bet. If you want to keep the shitty stock one because muh aesthetics, install the new one in the glovebox.
>>
It may have a CD changer control port on it you can mod those into aux jacks but the problem with the tape adapter is probably actually your phone. They all have their levels set for headphones. Download a free equalizer app before you waste your time and money trying to build or replace anything.

If he could get that tin-scratch out of it, it'd be vastly improved. As is, it sounds like a fartcan, overpowering the sweet engine sound.

Has an open diff. Didn't get an LSD until like 2011 or something.

The interior isn't as sporty or nice as it should be compared to the more recent ones.

Hello friends,
I recently bought a 2016 civic lx. It's a 2.0L 6 speed manual.
This is my first real car to work on, so I was wondering what /o/ thought would be some good starter upgrades.
So far I'm thinking about;
New springs (coilovers)
New Wheels
Stickier Tires
CAI/Short Ram
High Flow Exhaust
High Flow Cat

Thats about it guys, what else do you guys think I should try and find that wouldn't void the warranty?

Civics ftw man. I own an hatch VTEC 1.4 MK7 with a short short short gearbox and its like a rocketship lel.
If you want to rice it, just get a black/white respray. Put black wire alloys on it, slam it, put a lip spoiler on the back, tint the windows and put a nice loud exhaust on it. Skirts and bumpers would like nice too but be careful if you're slamming it.. Especially if you're in the countryside. If you're going performance and its not VTEC than just put a turbo in there, shorten the gearbox and some new valves. No need to go buying little performance chips or upgrades, its a civic. All it needs is a turbo and it will fly. If you do turbo I recommend getting a short shifter gearbox and long shifter stick for ultimate sweg points lel. Good luck :P

Acura RSX Type S or 2004/5 Acura TL?
Im stuck between these two cars as to which I want to get later

>>
>>14978654
RSX type s is all around better performance wise but TL is more comfy

My brother has a 03 CL and its pretty comfy, but too heavy to be a good FWD car
>>
I've driven an RSX-S and have a 2004 TL. The RSX is faster and more sporty, but the TL is great for trips and is still pretty damn fast in itself. I would only get a manual TL though, i have the auto and it's alright but I'm worried about longevity (about 140k on it atm) and also manual is just more fun in general. Also keep in mind the RSX is certainly more of a cop magnet than the TL, just something to think about.

Can /o/ educate me on these cars? Will need new vehicle in a year from now and I'm thinking about maybe getting a used Land Rover or Range Rover

Is 2006-2008 a good year for these cars? I've always liked them and finally have enough money to get a used one, but obviously, don't know if it's smart to considering foreign cars seems to have a poor rep. every time they venture over 80k

What does /o/ think?

06 is the first year where they moved away from BMW parts. Jag/Land Rovwr engine, new electromics, etc. It is going to be more reliable than the BMW made Ranges but not by much. It would have been worth it to get it from Carmax when the warranties were 2-3k, but now they raised it to 6k. I would pass on the Range.

Decent ones are going for mid 20s. I'd consider a 2010 Lexus GX460.
>>
>>14978512
Everything seems to indicate that they're money pits.

Seconding Lexus if you want a luxury car with minimal maintenance worries.
>>
>>14978549

Ah, thanks. What about the Land? Doesn't have to be very fancy, even the simple, base model will do for me.
