I've finally narrowed down my choice of cars between these two.
I need a super comfy, practical, and reliable vehicle. Both the GLK and Canyon are highly rated, and both are extremely comfy. The GLK is cheaper, fully-loaded, with the BlueTEC turbodiesel and 5k miles for $31k. The Canyon comes in around $35k for the configuration I want.
If I buy either, each month I'm setting aside the equivalent of a car payment into an account to help pay off any expenses not covered under warranty. The GLK will cost more in the long run, but I can afford it. The Canyon will be cheaper, but is nearly $5k more upfront, is larger, and is less practical for my daily use.
What should I do? I've test driven a good 30 cars in the past 2 weeks and narrowed it down to these two. I also am still considering a Tacoma, but it doesn't come in a Diesel, and it is slightly less comfy than both of these... but is nearly $10k cheaper.

What car can be modified to go around any track (not straight line drag) faster than the GTR?
I've saved about 70 grand CAD and hope to have enough by the end of this year (120k for a used gtr in my area)
I've started reading on the GTR and ive found that some people will damage your car just because theyre jealous or dont like the brand. I've had Civics my whole life and i just upgraded to a Forester so i've never dealt with jealous people lol.
So to get best of both worlds. i'd rather just modify a sleeper to be better than the GTR. Currently, im looking at the Lotus Elise with a boosted honda Type R swap but im looking for oppinions because im not the most knowledgeable

Can we talk automotive lights please? Specifically, I need a recommendation on where to buy authentic HID light bulbs, not Chinese knockoffs. I need to replace factory HID bulbs which came with the car as they very dim and also shifted toward blue end of the spectrum (not sure if they are just old, or also crap bulbs). I'd like to replace them with original Philips D2S bulbs as that's what the car comes with from the factory but can't seem to find any original ones. There are several sellers on Amazon who claim that the bulbs are authentic, however several reviews attest otherwise. I've gotten a pair from Amazon myself, but they came in regular cardboard box without the authenticity sticker which Philips puts on all retail boxes. There's a reason I'm being anal about factory lights vs cheap-o ones - according to my research, the lower quality fakes don't have the same glass and UV blocking treatment as the originals which results in discoloration, warping and other problems with the headlight lens and poly-carbonate glass.
TL/DR: Can someone recommend a source for authentic Philips HID D2S bulbs?

Philips doesn't sell automotive lights on their website. I guess I'll try autozone or some other automotive store.
Hold your horses there spray-man. It's an MDX, it comes with HID from the factory standard on all trim levels. I wouldn't just slap HID into halogen headlight housing, that's silly.
