So I just got an 03 gsxr600 from Craigslist and put about 250 miles on it, mechanically it seems great, but it has a few minor problems. I took it to get inspected and the mechanic said there's no way it'll pass. The turn signals are fucked up, it's missing the taillight lense and the kickstand holds the bike up way too low and that was just a lookover.

My question is, is it worth getting inspected? I heard people say they've never got inspected and never gotten written up for it, even when they were pulled over.

I wouldn't risk it. Idk the laws where you are but I'd be boned if I tried that.
Do you understand how cheap it is to fix motorcycles? My street fighter is held together with cut down street signs, zip ties, ceiling fan brackets etc. hell my headlight is off of a tractor.
Just spend the $100-$200 to fix everything and have the peace of mind

>>
>>14998549
To be fair he probable thought he didn't need turn signals, the brake light works even with the lens missing, and no one cares about the lean of a parked bike(throw a brick under the kick stand and tell him to fuck off).
I'm running no front or rear signals, no mirrors and no exhaust past my headers and I pass inspection where I live

when you buy a car from someone on Craigslist do they usually ask for a single cash payment? Would you ever strike up a payment plan with someone on CL? I'm looking at a nice older car and it's $4500, but I can't pay that all at once and I'd like to know I'm getting what was advertised before I fork over the full amount

Been driving for 10+ years of my life, in a country with right hand traffic (as in most countries).

Say I was moving to a country which has left hand traffic (UK). How long till I get used to driving on the wrong side of the road? Will I ever get used to it?

Is there a single new vehicle made that does not include large screens built into the dash and/or instrument cluster?

Is there a single new car that still starts by putting a key into the ignition and turning it?

What would be the best late 90s/early 2000s car to buy and garage for the time when rolling computers become the only things available? I'm talking great parts availability and vehicle reliability. I don't even like power windows, so seeing all these cars loaded down with power gadgets and "driver assist" mechanisms is annoying.

The Bedford Rascal is an idea choice. Very reliable, small and quick. And it starts with a key.

A base model Honda Fit, Ford Fiesta, Toyota Yaris? Was that hard?

The Fiesta I suppose has a knob window turner.

Or a base Mazda 2 or 3 would go good.

Even for a base model these days, there are standard A/C, FM, automatic front row only windows, etc.

If you are that old school and can't move forward with time, please kill yourself before you spread your mental condition.

I was trying to give my father, who is now physically disabled, a driving lesson yesterday. He was revving it a lot while it was in Park but I don't think that had anything to do with this. At one point after I had taken out the key he put it back in and the car wouldn't start. It just makes a clicking sound when the key is entered or turned. The brake pedal is stiff and won't move and it's the same with the steering wheel. What happened, what's wrong and is this going to cost me much?

What the fuck kind of lesson was it that it disabled your father?

You're driving down a road.
You see a well dressed man standing next to a steaming sedan, he looks frustrated.
You decide to help him out.
3 months later, he contacts you. Although you never gave him your number.
You find out that he's a multi-billionaire.
He will buy you any car in this world. No tricks. Just out of gratitude. No car is out of price range.

What car do you pick?

I don't want his fucking pity.
If he's a multi-billionaire, he has to own at least one company. Instead, I'll ask for employment at one of his companies.

I'll buy my own car with my own hard earned money thank you very much.
>>

>I don't want his fucking pity.

I'd ask for a CTSV.

Are 2 doors declining?

I feel everything is becoming a lifted wagon yet 99% of cars I see on the road only have one occupant.

What is the purpose of this? It just seems inefficient or even hypocritical.

Insurance companies (at least in America) make it more expensive to own coupes... much less cars with less than 2 rows of seats. Also, it's a fucking bitch to get people in the back seats of coupes, especially when most modern coupes/luxury cars have 10 and 16 point electric seating.
>>
People are going to justify 4-door cars because it's simply more practical for hauling people, even if they rarely have that occasion occur.

Also insurance rates for coupes are usually higher because insurance companies associate them with boy racers and retards.
>>
>>14996921
But what about all the Honda coupes? Isn't their target demographic cheaper?
