since this thread is nice and fresh I'm going to use this opportunity to blogpost and ask for input on my little interior revamp.
I have an E39 with a sand interior and chromeline trim. It looks like pic related, but I'm heterosexual so it has three pedals.
things I want to do/have done
>installed chrome rings around gauge cluster
>ordered black floor mats to replace tan
>ordered piano black trim to replace fake wood
>ordered black shift knob to replace fake wood
>ordered black M5 chromeline speaker covers for door
I think it's gonna look pretty neat. My dilemma relates to the shifter and handbrake boots. I'm set on the shifter boot being tan with black stitching. However, I don't know if I should keep the handbrake tan to match the shift boot, or change it to black to keep with the two tone setup.
