Scion marketing manager here
Why didn't our brand appeal more to you young enthusiasts?
>>15207754
lol but I'll respond, mostly because you were all rice and no beef.
Gotta have the beef to back up the rice. Also, had the TC been FR it would of been much more praised.
Also, you should of tried to be a little more than a boardroom brand.
>>15207754
You took the car that was the supposed successor to the Celica and put a Camry engine in it.
I'll bite
Most people saw scions as shitty ugly econoboxes.
You needed to do more to appeal to enthusiasts. Make some cars with drivetrains aside from FF, use better engines etc.
I'm aware the FRS was FR, but the rest werent.
I'm looking to buy a used sports car that's stick shift. I'm 25 and been driving a 99 Toyota Corolla for 9 years and I'm tired of having it.
Any suggestions?
I was looking at a cool looking eclipse. But I read in an article that said it's predominantly a car that women drive. The newer bubbly models look girly but the older models looks cool.
Was also looking to get a Mazda rx 7 or 8. They look kickass.
But I've always wanted an Audi. Maybe an A4 or a cool S4.
Ford mustang was my #1 choice but my gf just bought one so now I don't wanna copy her lol.
What would you guys recommend?
Get an aw11, op
>Eclipse
Good car if you wanna say you don't have a miata.
Aftermarket isn't huge, only reason to get one would be if you can get one of the higher trim 4 cylinders or one with a v6
>Rx7/8
rotaries are fun, however your MPG will be on the high side 15 mpg. If gas isn't an issue, I'd pick this.
>Audi
Don't buy euro cars unless you have money to fix them. Parts for euro cars are across the board more expensive than a comparable japanobox or american counterpart.
>Mustang
cheap american muscle, not too great in the corners but fast on the straightaways.
If you're wanting to stay american, look into one of the 80s/90s Foxbody cars, or one of the Focus hatches.
If you're going Japanese, you've got more options. Look at the z32, MR2, miata :^), or anything else that catches your eye.
This is by no means an exhaustive list. Personally I'd probably grab the eclipse. Depends mostly on your budget, as a clean one will sit around 4k provided you're not in Cali.
Nice I'll look into some of those cars thanks
>be American
>see this
>stop the car, put freedomstick in P and start crying
Do non-Americans really spend this much time thinking about Americans?
That's weird.
>>15218945
>be american in a civic/corolla
>see that
>go around it as fast as your shitbox can handle without understeering into the sunset
>>15218945
I live right next to one lmao
>>15218963
This is completely true.
-2011ish BMW 335i xdrive
-AWD
-Twin Turbo inline 6 305hp
-Cost about 30k, i make 55k/year CDN
Looking for a daily driver, and these just have everything i want. Might even get a sedan instead of a coupe.
>>15217551
>no dipstick
>carbon buildup
>looking like a douche
>finance a used car
nope, buy it outright.
>>15217551
>finance
Why not just buy it outright?
Needing recommendations on a large, comfortable, and relatively affordable land barge.
Bonus points if bench seat and/or rwd

What do you think is the cheapest car that could outrun a 2014 police charger is? They drive them where I live an always wondered how fast they really are. I'm not a fan of dodge so I don't know anything about them
Could they outrun a 04 stock cobra on a straight highway for instance?
The police chargers with the interceptors? The ones with the Hemi/AWD Charger do 60 mph in 5.2 seconds.
I think the Cobra is like 4.5 or something close, but with the police package they'd probably get you after a while.
>>15210586
That do 5.5 to 60, slower than my 370z by a long shot
>>15210586
Yeah. 4.4 0-60 for 04.
Revisited this game and Zero today. Cant believe how bad they aged.
>i am so autistic i cant get past Zero's lack of realistic cars
>the fact that every civilian car on the third game is a yellow van gets to me
>the fact that every car its a car with top tier rollcage/reinforced chassis in monocolor with, sometimes stock body kit, sometimes top body kit, makes me think the devs didn't bother to make cars unique in their own way
>driving physics are 100% fucking shit in both games.
New game fucking when? have no 360 so i cant try the street import challenge game.
>>15213577
>have no 360 so i cant try the street import challenge game.
That's what I was going to recommend.
In the meantime, Genki is working on a new installment, but no word on a release date yet.
>>15213580
No. No they aint. Done a little bit of reserach. After their twitter post a year ago saying that they might try to create a new game in the saga if they get enough followers there was no official statement. Then again, i dont read japanese, but if they actually came out and said "we have decided to start making the game" it would be more famous than old games news sites saying that Genki is thinking about it. I hope they are, tho.
Is the 360 game that good? i am autistic for realism and good driving physics, which is what threw me off from TXR3.
My only wish for their next game is that somehow they can mix a few things like mountain togue and engine tunning like from TXRD2 and the ability to make your engine a turbo anytime you want instead of having to drive the car for an insane amount of time to unlock that.
Anyone has confirmation from Genki about the new game?

Feel free to post sources outside of Craigslist as well, and/or post your wanted vehicles or vehicles for sale.

unless you want your door panels dinged by dumbasses in the other parking spots, it makes sense to park in the middle like that. Why the back end is so far out I have no idea

I would key their car or spit on the windshield
Who /DIY/ here?
Yesterday
>rotating my tires, 2000 Tundra V-ate
>threading last lug by hand
>put wrench to it, gets halfway down and gets tight
>try to back it off
>gets tighter
>motherfuckitscrossthreaded.png
>say fuck it and decide to snap lug off and replace it
>take wheel off, put bolts in drum
>in a rush and forgot to release emergency brake
>drum gets halfway off, snaps back onto hub and cracks
>end up replacing stud and brake drum all because of a simple tire rotation
30 minute job turned into 3 hours, whatever.

Of course people were going to watch episode one just to see if it holds a candle to clarkson/may/hammond top gear

>>15214537
Lol top gear BTFO by Antiques Roadshow.

Like those "unintended accelerations" with the Prius that turned out to actually be people aiming for a fat settlement.
