I can get into autistic detail about PC hardware specs and what nuanced variables mean what for your vidya performance or how long it'll take you to recompress a discography, but I know fuck all about cars. What I'd really like to know though, is what the fuck do people get from when they ask what size my engine is and I'm just like "uhhh, it's a V6 3.8 liter or something". Like, yeah, I know the V6 is for the cylinders and those are what pump down to spin the belt that powers my alternator, I know that means it's kinda shitty on gas and I shouldn't try to tow a camper, but what the fuck do the litres mean? Is that how much gas is able to be shoved in there at max capacity? If so, wtf difference does that make?

Car got a crack in the sheet metal. It is spread across the roof and the pillar panel..What is the cheapest way to repair this? can i weld something . i want to minimize road noise and no leaks..(basically as close to stock as possible w/o spending a ton)

>its on a really busy main road and parking there is fucking annoying
>park up, place looks pretty busy
>rang up earlier and the guy knows I was coming
>guy walks out of the enclosed bit where they have a bunch of cars on lifts and rollers and the like
>start saying 'hey blah blah car is here for its MOT it's over there x car with x paint'
>hand him the key
>he's like 'right no problem should be around an hour as were busy'
>walk off to local shopping centre and fuck about for an hour or so
>get bored after an hour and a half and go back to the garage
>my car isn't where I parked it, and its not infront of their lot, so it must be getting done now
>sit on brick wall across the street and wait while messing about on phone
>half an hour passes, cars come and go, still no shitbox
>don't want to seem like I'm hassling them but go in and ask someone how much longer it will be
>he's like 'umm i'll go look for it'
>tiny place so he's back in like 30 seconds
>'it's not being seen to at the minute, who did you leave it with?'
>don't know his name but give the description of the guy
>he looks puzzled at me for a moment and says no one like that works here

>calls me a smart ass for smiling and shaking my head
>warning to my sister in law for littering
>tell my brother the next day
>she was so high on Valium and whatever else they gave her she didn't even remember how she got home, let alone almost got a littering ticket

Im 20 years old and want to get a bitchin whip. I was looking at a 2008 Maserati Granturismo for around 40k USD. I dont have a job but my parents do. Theyll buy the car and shit for me but if something goes down and Ill have to pay for shit myself, can I? I could probably hussle out about 1.5k a month

So my neighborhood has had a string of car break-ins recently, and I know someone will hit my hunk of shit soon. I don't really care about theft-deterrents or alarms since they won't do much good, but how about something to teach them a lesson. I've read that booby-trapping your car or house is very illegal, but fuck it.

I'm thinking about getting a pint of some cheap ass liquor and filling half the bottle with methanol. Hopefully the person drinks it all in one sitting and it puts them out for good.
