Are they really change the design after 70 years? I think it is fine as it is now.
The new design isn't as robust and it looks like the new Range Rover like if it was made for women.

They said it isn't going to look like that concept so it is anyone's guess.

This is a halal meet, don't worry, habib.
Why do people talk about wheels as if they are just accessories or decoration for a car?
Wheels are a big part of a car just like doors, engine and suspension.
I don't get it.
the tires are more important
as long as the wheels arent plastic chinkshit and arent particularly heavy they dont matter for performance
>>15194278
That has nothing to do with what I am saying.
>>15194278
OP's not talking about performance.
He's talking about how wheels can either make or break a car's image. And to that, I agree. The first thing that stands out to me are a car's wheels. I've seen shitboxes salvaged by a good choice in wheels, and I've seen normally beautiful cars ruined by a poor choice in wheels.
The thought of Crossovers makes me angry, but I can't exactly pin my finger on why that is.
Is it because it stands for the opposite of everything car enthusiasts love?
Is it because car makers regularly kill fun cars in order to make space for yet another crossover in their lineup?
Is it because of the realization that they're forced to do this because this is what the market unfortunately dictates?
Is it because of the association to the kind of people that usually buy crossovers, suburban soccermoms who text and drive?
Is it because every measurable aspect of their quality is mediocre and outclassed by cars in other segments?
Is it because they're the epitome of "appliance"?
>>15194185
Ask a crossover owner anything
>>15194185
You missed that they are objectively terrible as well as subjectively
>itt: niggas who never drove or owned a decent crossover/suv
You know, you basicaly hating on a very roomy hatchback with clearence to not give a fuck about bumps and shitty roads, without the hearse vibe.
The problem, like with any car, there are very little worthy suvs on the market
So I have the opportunity to buy a 1993 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme with the not so popular 3.4 v6 engine making 200hp.
the car runs and drives pretty good and I can buy it for $250. (it's my friends shitbox, he bought a new car)
anyways I want to take this car on an adventure and offroad it and beat the fuck out of it kind of like matt farah did in his all cars go to heaven series. would this be a good car to do that?
the worst thing about this car is that the rear trailing arms are very very rusted where they connect to the chassis and idk how many shocks they'd take before it seperates from the chassis.
wat do?
pic related
>>15194117
Buy it. Drive it until the wheels fall off
>>15194122
I don't want to drive it around town or anything. I should have specified. I kind of just want to take a vacation in this car and take it to offroad places like moab. and if it breaks just scrap it and take a rental car back home
>>15194128
Don't hurt yourself doing it. You won't get far in that car. Is it front or rear drive?
Can we get some cars and girls? More like this one if possible
No
Stop

This channel went from good to shit real fast
Also, why is youtube cancer central for car videos? Besides maybe Project Binky, (dare I say MCM too) and a few auto detailing randos and very specific subject matter interests (installs of parts) it's all so bad.
Youtube is cancer central, period. Because everyone can be on it. Even you, OP.

I have a 1996 f150 that I slammed into a tree back in March. I've decided to fix it instead of scraping it. Engine is fine. Airbag deployed. I put a new belt on since the old one was fucked from the wreck. The lights inside the cab and shit still work but when I go to start it, nothing. Fuel pump works as I can hear it. What can I do to start this piece of shit? I reset the inertia switch, charged the battery, and when I go to crank it, nothing. What is wrong with my shitbox?
You need three things for combustion in a petrol engine. Fuel, spark and compression. Check you have all three on all cylinders and then come back to us.
>>15193881
When turning the key does it turn over to start? If no, whack starter with a hammer, try again.
Power to the starter is broken or shorted. Since interior lights are on, ECU(in 96?) is probably getting power. Trace wire back from starter.
/o/ what is your thoughts on KIAs, specifically the Optima, Sorento, and Sportage all post-2011?
The Koreans in general have been trying hard to shake the stigma that they've since the beginning. They've been tying to move beyond shitboxes. Basically they are at the point Japan was in the early 80s, minus having the Z under their belt.
>>15193849
1995 to 2001 sportage uses a mazda engine.
They are bretty gud
>>15193868
Looking at post-2011 KIAs anon.
>>15193864
Is the stigma still warranted?
Never Wrenched...
Want to wrench...
The question is where to begin on the hardware side...?
What is a decent starter kit set up of tools & cost $$$, from Harbor Freight to Snap-on that will get a job done with out trouble for a fair price?
Get a craftsman 240pc tool set with the 3 drawers of sockets, get an angle grinder, half inch earthquake impact, air compressor, set of large impact sockets, breaker bar, channel locks and vice grips of varying sizes, punches, chisels and hammers.
All that and you'll be off to a good start.
get a 100(?) piece craftsman tool set that has sockets, ratchets, wrenches, and a few screw drivers. Pretty good for basic jobs.
I think some trip already made a tool guide, forgot to save it
I have a Craftsman 174 piece set that I guess is now discontinued. It would be perfectly fine for a new wrench with the addition of some pliers.
Hey /o/, so i bought a new car and can't think of a name for her. Can you help me think of a female g name?

that car is so bland and boring that it literally makes me feel ill to look at that picture.
How do i get rid of my POS honda that's sitting in the garage right now waiting for a airbag while i drive a rental
Will post cool cars to ease the suffering of a econobox rental.
Why not pair a manual transmission up with a torque converter?
too much torque
>>15193617
>>15193617
Why not just buy a tesla and let it drive for you, you lazy fuck!
Are aftermarket bigger throttle bodies snake oil for na setups?
I have a 2009 Mustang GT. Only mods I've done is can tune, jlt 110mm cai, steeda underdrive pulleys, JBA longubtes, JBA catted h pipe and flowmaster outlaw axle backs.
Only if your TB is not flowing the required air for your setup.
Some cars come with slightly constricting TB's at high RPM, some don't, etc.
>>15193607
They aren't snake oil, but the stock 3v TB is a decent sized one. You probably wouldn't gain much at all per dollar spent. I vote cams, nitrous, or both, and get the TB.
>>15193645
this. you flow numbers or you need a dyno / someone else dyno results only way to know.
Hey /o/ I just sold my DD and want a truck now budget is ~4.5k looking at 90's trucks and holy fuck these dodge rams are sexy
this will be my first truck, guide me
Dodge of that era = worst interior of the big three and God awful automatics.
I had a 1500 that was pretty good.
>>15194208
>Dodge of that era = worst interior of the big three and God awful automatics.
posting of this quality = shit
The ram had a better interior than most of the trucks of that era. the transmission found in the v8/v10 and diesel trucks is a 46/47re, basically a 727, one of the strongest transmissions ever made.
You will want a v8, preferably the 5.9 but the 5.2 will work. It is old school with FI, so you will have a dizzy, cap, plugs etc etc. I never really had any major problems with mine.
>>15193574
I'd stay away from Rams, OP. Their drive lines are not great. Either get you a Ferd or Chebby or Toyoter.
>Captcha was pickup trucks.
