Why are Subaru Wrx (Sti) so expensive? I found one on craigslist for $6000 with 200000 miles on it. It makes no sense.
takumi tax
>>15273506
Why would you want an Sti? Just get a regular WRX.
>>15273523
because an STI is miles better than a WRX?
So when is Fiat gonna introduce some other Fiat car into the US? How's the 500 been doing? They seemed totally rarin to go in their US return, specifically buying Chrysler for an easy way in, and then they do almost nothing with it. 2 Ram rebranded commercial vans and variations on the 500
>>15273433
They own Chrysler. You can't get anymore "IN" than that. They wouldn't even need to import a Fiat, Alpha, or Ferrari model to be more 'in".
>>15273433
I think the strada and maybe the panda if they renamed it could do ok here. Have ram be the van and truck brand, dodge the aggressive looking "muscle car" brand, chrysler the buick tier midrange brand, and fiat be the poorfag mas market brand
>>15275556
i believe the strada is coming as the ram rampage
Thinking of buying a 35 year old Jeep in california and driving it home to florida. how bad of an idea is this?
It's only SLIGHTLY better than buying a 125cc scooter and driving it across country.

Do you even have to ask, you fucking cuck?
After researching, lurking forums, and pulling my hair out for the past two weeks, I decided to make a thread on /o/ as a last resort because despite how much you guys fuck around, somehow I trust you guys.
Looking to purchase a vehicle around $8,000 and I have boiled down the options to:
>2006-2008 Infiniti G35 (preferably X because winter)
>2002-2006 Ford Mustang GT
>2006-2008 Audi A4 or A6 (preferably quattro because winter)
>2011-2013 Volkswagen Jetta
>2006-2009 Honda Civic
There will be a mix of city driving as well as highway driving. I would say an equal amount of both.
Performance and reliability is key. Luxury I can live without but it would be nice. I plan on maintaining the car (of course) but I don't want to dump tons of money into it just to maintain it (I'm looking at you, Audi).
Open to any other recommendations
Bumping with a car that I wish I could own
>>15273210
Civic or Infiniti to be honest my brother.
Must be able to to do your own maintenance on Infiniti tho, I think they're a bit more expensive when it comes to mainteance than the civic
But the civic is a good option for simple honorable service. AVOID GERMAN VEHICLES AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU HAVE PLENTY OF MONEY TO WASTE ON MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR COSTS
Trust me and all the other /o/tists, German cars are expensive to keep running

What are some things to look for when checking out a prospective VW Beetle? Floor pans, etc etc
How bad are these as daily drivers?
What mechanical parts commonly break? What are some good things to improve on them?
Answer any questions or just give me Beetle info!
If you were really serious, you wouldn't be asking here
For a no frills car it's great as a daily driver and easy as fuck to work on
Now go google and read the shitload of beetle sites
>>15273067
Great daily you can not go wrong in a Beetz. Rain snow or mud that cock sucker will just keep fartin along
>>15273141
I've already read many websites but am looking for other opinions, I am going to check one out on Saturday.

Mod gore thread?
Nice Maserati F40
>>15272869
I genuinely like this.
>>15272869
it would be better if it weren't a mash of two kits with different styles. Like the back part is clearly trying to emulate a Testarossa / F40 and the front is something from the F&F / NFS Underground era of ricer body kits.
[poorfag edition, no super/hyper cars, not more than $50k]
>not more than $50k
Does it count if I will only own cars over $50k?
Cars you will never own that are under 50k? The fuck kind of depressing shit is that?
Ruining classic cars with large billet baby boomer wheels is a sign of being a shit cunt.
If I see a muscle car with huge billets wheels on it I automatically know the owner is a dick head and not worth talking to.
Chip Foose brought this terrible trend around.
And fucking boomers ate it up.

rn Im driving an old beaten Honda 1998 crv and looking to get a van to stay in on weekends, hotbox, camp out of, etc. Looking at local people selling them, the prices range normally from 3k-8k for what Im looking for. Any tips?
DUDE
>>15272666
If you can find one that's clean, spend as much as you can on it. You'll be in a better place making a larger initial investment on a van then buying a rusted out shitbox that needs a lot of work.

How come in America ghetto cars have lots of effort into making them look nice..
Example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqHSfI7KhM0
But in Australia ghetto cars that do laps on a saturday night are clapped out v6 commodores?
Why are American lower class people better at life than Australian lower class people?
Also what are the ghetto cars in your country?
What screams to the world "I grew up in public housing and don't want to achieve anything in life" to the world.
>>15272569
Also how come in America all those people look hygienic?

Do they have a dry sump system on those? One would think leaning that far to the side would expose the oil pickup.
Seeing many posts about this and am wondering about getting one
Are Chrysler New Yorker's reliable? I've heard from some they're shit but from others that their engine is "bulletproof"
Quick bump
It's an extended K car, of course it's reliable and awful

Fuck off Ricky.
You get to drive Laguna Seca, BUT you have to do it in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Would you do it?
...are they rwd?
Does it have to be on some stupid track, can I just drive the wienermobile on the highway or something?
>>15272309
Fine, you get to drive I-70 between Denver and Kansas City.
Just put some O.Z. Alleggerita HLT's (18x8) on my MazdaSpeed3 today, which saved me 7 pounds per corner.
The moment I started driving, it felt so much better than before. Handling, braking, acceleration, everything improved quite a bit.
It's an amazing feeling. I highly recommend to everyone that they find the lightest wheels they can and enjoy this sensation.
That is all.
