Why is extreme camber okay when it's in Japan? Why is a lot of stuff we would call douchebags, faggotry, ricer, shitstains, ok when it's Japan? Stuff like racing on public roads, modifying your car to the point where it doesn't even function anymore, being a nuisance, racing your stock civic with a fartcan up and down the highway with your douchebag friends, etc.

Alright so I just bought two motorcycles at an auction for 50$ each. A 1982 hOnda cm450 and 1987 Yamaha virago. Got the Honda started after a little bit of work and she runs and all that, but the virago is being a bitch. I can't get spark to the plugs, but it isn't the spark plugs themselves because I put them in the other bike and they work fine. I had to take off the ignition and get the lights and all that to turn on, the fuses for the ignition are all there, what should I do?

Well, there you go, you narrowed it down to the ignition system.
How does ignition work on a bike? Is it magneto based like in airplanes or is it like automotive? I have no idea.
It's either the um, well I guess there's not really a distributor on a single cylinder motor is there? It's either that or the coil/condenser. Or maybe the spark plug cable. Get out your multimeter and start probing around. Or just replace the whole shebang?
I dunno.

well /o/ this is new to me. i didn't know a car as old as the s2000 could be aquired on a payment system. i mean i wouldn't lease or finance it as i would prefer either having the cash on hand, but if it's say 8000 bucks would this be a viable way to own it? i mean prices and availability seem to be inversely proportional at the moment. what would you do in this situation? my original plan was to save up 8k or get a good enough paying career where i can get an 8k loan and just deal with my bank instead of a dealership. has anyone here ever done this? is it stupid?

Hey /o/. My girlfriend got in an accident the other day. She rear ended someone and it was clearly her fault which isn't what I'm worried about. She told me that none of the airbags deployed on impact which startled me. Is this damage enough to deploy airbags? Should I contact Volkswagen?

OK, so...
I inherited a car that sat in a garage for, give or take, 5 years. Car runs great but a/c doesn't blow cold air. It worked when it was parked. Must have lost pressure due to leak.
I plan on getting serviced by family friends who own a auto A/c shop.
Driving car across country to get it home. Got over 1000 miles to go and it's hot as balls.
I'm thinking about breaking down and buying one of those recharge kits.
My question is, do they work?
Does the "stop leak" stuff work?
Will they damage the a/c system in a way that might add to the repair bill when I get it into the shop repairs.
Any info appreciated. Thanks.

I don't want to make here a shitstorm about japanese cars, because I also like them, but there's one think that hurts me. Soft body and rust. Is there any japanese car that has really good quality body that hasn't got problem with rust and dents? I can understand that Japanese engineers make car body from thin sheet metal to reduce mass, but effect of its is really bad.
