Nice one! The unveiling was fucking awesome
I'm thinking of buying an used Leaf or Prius and have no idea what I'm doing. Help please?
>>15372248
Neither. Chevy volt is better than both.
Get the Prius. It lasts forever. The battery lasts forever. Drive that thing nice and easy and enjoy the extra cash.
Only other car id recommend is the Ford Fusion hybrid since you can drive it on only electric power up to like 30mph.
Prius if you want distance, leaf if you're absolutely not going on any road trips, Chevy Volt if you mind looking like a faggot. If not desu I'd take the Prius.
I am fairly new to cars. I own a 2011 Hyundai Elantra (GLS, 1.8L engine)
Would anyone be able to assist me in finding the correct rear passanger/driver calipers for this car?
>>15372214
Why does it already need rear calipers? Korean quality everyone.
>>15372231
Already? This is just a stock photo. I bought mine used. It needs calipers because I am retarded.
I just re-did a ton of wiring in the race crx and put the new wire-work harness in
Also I am slowly putting the engine together since my cylinder head is still at the machine shop... something about needing a pilot for reaming the new valve guides....
Pulling off my front bumper cover that I fucked up on track day. Also going to replace my strut mounts and upper spring seats.
>>15372024
>MFW i'm a pro at wiring and always have been yet I hate doing it.
>>15372024
preparing the garage for another little project car,
carb work for another one, and soon to be a master cylinder replacement bc no matter what i do, the brakes are as soft as a puddin pie
Will GM do better next year?
How long has the mid-engined Corvette been in development?

Over 50 years.
http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/a-canadian-man-invented-a-wheel-that-can-make-cars-move-sideways
>The age of parallel parking may soon be over thanks to a literal reinvention of the wheel by Canadian man William Liddiard.
>“True all-way drive for anything with wheels,” Liddiard says in an online writeup for his successful prototype of “omni-directional” wheels, a specialized rim and tire that can allow any car the ability to move sideways.
>The tire is rounded like a donut and sits within a specialized roller-equipped rim that can move the tire horizontally. The result is a wheel that can allow any car to “crab” side to side.

>that tiny ass contact patch
>lack of sidewall rigidity
>fragile rollers that are just waiting for a rock to get jammed in them
>What is lateral acceleration.

So as you can see my Mandowner blewout last weekend...I turned the reeble inside out into a Downheimer and it seemed to do the trick....
I got a 444 in my 516 (aint she a beaut), I think that's pertinent. What would be a more permanent fix? I'm thinking about doogleflooging the Deetles and revving the limbotchwin so that the parameters of the 636 match those of the 22 one-doer. Pappy always told me this would do the trick.
What does /o/ think?

My dad is deciding between a Rolls Royce Wraith vs Bentley Continental S vs Mercedes S63.
I personally think the Mercedes S63. We test drove it and it drove insane, better than any other car I've driven. It's also so elegant and noticeable while still having a sense of subtleness and practicality to it.
Thoughts?

Encourage him to buy a Camry so you don't get cucked out of a good inheritance.
Is he new money? Definitely don't let him pass up the opportunity to create generational wealth by buying cars that lose 90% of their value in half a decade.
Hey /o/
I desperately need some help.
I'm a car novice and I have a 1999 Subaru Forester L that seems to be having heat problems.
Whenever I have driven the car for a bit and then start slowing down or idling at lights, the temp gauge goes way up almost into the red. But when I start driving at normal city road speeds it goes down to mid-temp again.
Am I just an idiot? Am I overreacting? Or is this a problem?
If it is a problem, please specify.
I'm a portal that can't afford maintenance right now.
Pic is temp while the car is idle in the shade.
>>15371105
Poorfag* not portal.
Have your cooling system checked. Sounds like a valve is just stuck somewhere and the coolant isn't moving through the radiator to have the heat, you know, radiated.

Why are modern cars so angry?
Small engines
>>15370870
Because people like it
Because whenever someone starts a trend everyone hops on it
Because current cars designers are the Hot Wheels generation

Huh really makes you think
They rev really high and scream
I bet if modern cars had v6 or v8s in em more often
they would be more mellow
Hi /o/
My parents' cars just got keyed a third time last night and they're pretty upset about it. We live in an apartment complex and they can't really do shit. There's no cameras or security anywhere I guess.
How do I catch this little shit?
Set up a camera.
Or go around and key every car in the lot every time it happens.
Or stop keying your parents' car.
>>15370740
Camera. Just set up cameras in the car.
I'd also wonder why your parents' cars are getting keyed in the first place. Who did they piss off? People just don't fuck with cars for no reason.
Even if you do get the kids on video, be prepared for a apathetic police response, those assholes are lazy fucks.
Maybe they should stop parking bad
