Hello!
I recently bought a 2010 Citroen C5 (full specs http://www.auto-data.net/en/?f=showCar&car_id=15282). It's a reaaaally comfy car and it was cheap as hell for this kind of car (6k€). However, with only 127 hp, it somehow feels sluggish. This feeling is further increased by the fact that my last car was a 130 hp diesel opel omega (that 80 Nm loss...).
So here is what I need to know : was it a good choice, or did I make a mistake? Is chiptuning a valid option to gain some hp, or would it kill the car in the next months because no turbo?
Pic related: it's what the car looks like
Probably best to just enjoy the comfy.
>>15400509
You bought a cozy landyacht. You could turn it into something else but that will never be as good as a car that was designed to feel quick.
Still, 2010 is a decent year, you should be out of most of the reliability nightmares you can expect on the first ones.
>>15400565
That were my first thoughts. It really feels like you're flying above the road. I really enjoy that.
And again, yes. A 2010 remodeled petrol car with no EGR/particle filter/turbo is a bliss
You're having a comfy car meet with your bros when suddenly these people join you and touch your car.
How do you react?
At least they're not losers with anime stickers on their cars.
>>15399540
I think I know them, actually. I recognise about half of them.
I dont care
What's actually available out there besides the clown shoes and the FF?
Does it count?

That's just a 3 door hatch.
I'm still confused about shooting brakes. I always thought they were two door wagons. The problem is a wagon has a n A B C and D pillar. Make it a two door and now your left with A B C which would turn it into a two door hatch. So what from a technical perspective makes a shooting brake a shooting brake? How long the roof is?
Allright guys here's the deal, I started my own bussines that requires me to travel to alot of fairs, festivals, and stuff like that.
Please help me my fellow /o/ gurus, as I need to pick a proper car for the job. I am an europeasant, so no american stuff.
Car must meet the following criteria :
>must be a car ( I don't want vans )
>cheap to buy
>cheap to maintain
>boot space especially
>reliable ( crucial factor )
>decently economical
>reasonably comfortable
>must cost under 5000 euros to purchase, register, and insure
So far, my choices are :
Skoda Octavia mk I 1.9TDI 102 bhp
VW Golf IV 1.9TDI 105 bhp
Opel Astra H Caravan 1.7 CDTI 101 bhp
Ford Focus 1.6 CDTI 90 bhp
VW Passat B5.5 1.9TDI 105 bhp
Which one would you pick ? Any advice ?
>>15399506
Grande Punto 1.9 Multijet Sport Van
You're welcome.
>>15399506
In order to up my topic, I will make short descriptions of every contender.
VW Passat B5.5 1.9TDI 105 bhp
The classiest of the bunch, it's also the biggest of the bunch. It has the most luxury, comfort, and boot space.
Disadvantages are that the 1.9TDI, whilst mostly bulletproof, suffered from camshaft issues, and cold starts.
The biggest downside tho is that most of these have been poorly maintained, skipped maintainances, and have been driven at very low RPMs, which makes the turbo prone to failure

I need something with a big boot, and a sturdy diesel engine. Performance is not my priority, fuel consumption and reliability is.
Anyone on here know much about Nissan micras? I'm after a daily for getting to work (current car is a mk2 golf love driving it hate putting miles on it) a guy I work with said his daughter is selling a 21 year old micra that has abs and discs all round from factory (they seem clueless as to what model the car is) after some research I've found only the 'super s' model had these features and I've not seen any pics yet or viewed the car but apparently she only wants around 200 quid and it's never failed an mot and the only work it's ever needed has been welding, do I buy it?
Pic sort of related
Light as fuck, small wheels, nippy engine and very reliable.
A combination that makes them fun to drive. A lot like the proper Mini.
>>15399401
And yes, buy the fuck out of it.
>>15399401
That's sold it for me! The guy said it was pokey as fuck
Guys, i have pic related but problem is i never used drive this big car and i newly got my driving licence, im not really pro, so is there any helpful video about how to reverse parking, turning, etc. Also any tips for what i should look and care with this big car? Reverse parking/turning, turning narrow streets, etc pain in the ass for me.
>>15398667
Practice in empty parking lots, it werks.
Source: I drive an Odyessy.
>>15398667
I started driving on a peugeot 807, if you park, make sure you go slow and use your mirrors. That's some pretty basic stuff, but the most important I tend to forget this from time to time. If you can get acoustic parking sensors this will help a lot too.
>>15399260
>>15399369
Thanks, i have parking sensors but i dont live near parking lots, thanks for tips, i think practice is most important part.

Depends. Either a look of disgust if it's a piece of shit or pic related if it actually looks pretty gud.
I pulled up to some lady in a 245 and waved and she screamed Volvos rule.
Volvos rule :3
>Miata NA
Why do Euros scream about "cheap American shit" when all they mostly drive are the cheapest econocrap? Unless you're wealthy over there, wealthy being equivalent to middle class America's level of disposable income, the fastest car you'll drive is a """""hot"""" hatch.
>>15398102
>>15398102
Hot hatches are still faster than what you drive
>>15398129
Yet still faster than your bicycle
Anyone know how much this would cost to fix?
>>15398062
more than you can afford pal.
>>15398062
I would use this as an opportunity to swap to the Jetta front end. So much better looking.
>>15398076
Use it as an opportunity to get a good car
How does importing work I want to import a certain car but have no idea where to start
>>15397814
You go to a vehicle importer specialist and you pay them to do it. Trying to do it on your own leads to Customs seizing your car and crushing it.
>>15397823
How much
>>15397853
It depends on the car, the country of origin, and where you're trying to import it from. But the brokerage fees will be at least $1000 and almost certainly more. This is of course on top of the cost of the transportation.
It's expensive because the risk of fucking up has such a high penalty.
