Just got in an accident
Walked away with bruising up my arm and some slight disorientation
Going 95-100 on a left turn when the car oversteered and we went off the road into the grass, clipped a manhole cover in the ground and ended up in someone's backyard.
I was the passenger by the way.
Fun stuff

I have an audi TT around 10 years old and I want to make it a bit newer by adding some modern car memes.
Already done
-Restored the paint to factory condition
-Put on bigger wheels with lower profile tires
-Rear diffuser painted black
-Front splitter painted black
-Dateless registration plate so you can't tell it's age

>by adding some modern car memes.
The one where we tell you to become a hero was great for this purpose.

Sounds gay.
People who do this don't realise it makes you look more poor than leaving it stock.

I was thinking about a idea for a website like iRacing, where people can join and organize races in real life.
The plan is to racetrack owners (or somebody willing to organize a series) to buy the cars, do the maintenance and preparation, and let cars available to race.
Then people can join the website and signup for races (or free practice sessions), paying a fare by credit card.
The idea is that costs will be diluted, since both professional drivers, amateur drivers and casual drivers can participate in races, as well as the race tracks being more utilized.
To avoid crashers and bad drivers (and improve races), a safety rating system can be applied, along with a points system rewarding consistence.
It would be viable, since the fixed costs like heavy machinery and manufacturing tools (which is the expensive part) are spread through a higher number of users.
>>15416274
What kind of costs were you thinking (for drivers)? I reckon it will just be too expensive to be viable.
Safety rating is fine in online games but you can't just put a bunch of complete shitters together in a real race without some expensive repair bills
i would pay like 1200 a year for like the chance to do that 5 or 6 times and i would make a day out of it
>>15416274
This idea is so bad it made my head hurt. Who is it supposed to be good for?
>>15416384
So would anyone else, but you can't even race a kart that you own for that little.
Replied to a craigslist add yesterday. Too good to be true. Asking for too low an amount, all shipping based, won't have to meet the seller in person, but no cash upfront and only asking for name, address, and phone number.
I'm sure it's a scam, but that 1% wants to believe it's real.
Can you screw somebody over with as little as a name, address, and phone? Assure me this is fake /o/.
>>15416259
>Craigslist add
>wants you to go through eBay
>won't meet you in person
Naw Dude, totally legit
>>15416259
It's a scam
It's a scam.
Really? Through ebay??

Did you spot any rare, exotic or particularly interesting cars this week /o/? And where?
Yesterday I spotted an Aventador and a Lotus Elise in Oslo.
New Porsche Boxster yesterday. That was one. Nothing else. Maybe a old 1930s car.
>>15415656
The guy up the street owns a Prowler. Does that count?

Anyone have any experience with kymco 50cc's? Have heard both that theyre good and that they are china shit.
Pic related, me on a kymco mxu 50cc.
>>15415501
a 50cc 4 wheeler is going to do about 18mph. a chinese 50cc 4 wheeler might not stay running for the full hour. a 70-90cc pit bike will do 35-50 depending on trans type and engine spec. don't be a pussy and get a 2 wheeler at that price point.
Under age b&
>>15415524
Theres age restriction on /o/?
So I finally bought my first car, a Saab 9-3.
I was kinda enjoying the chase and looking at cars and imagining owning them.
Now I have a car and I don't know what to do. What do /o/?
Become autismal over detailing it.
>>15414782
I wouldn't know what to tell you since imo it isn't something I wouldn't have chosen.
Maybe a plasti dip?
Wheels?
What exactly made you set on this one? What drew you to it?

ive got a 1981 Toyota Hilux 4WD, i replaced the rear axle seal today. old axle came out with next to no effort, after changing the seal the axle wouldnt go back in. threw a flashlight in there, some plate with RN stamped on it is blocking half of the spline hole in the bottom like the picture.
it looks like the axle is supposed to go through that plate but it doesnt line up at all and the plate doesnt move, it doesnt match anything on my Haynes book for the rear axle. anyone know wtf it is? i dont want to have to take the whole bloody rear axle apart now. thanks
bump someone help anon
put ur dick in it
>>15414384
Did you only pull one axle out or both at the same time?
The spider probably fell out of place, try sticking something in there and moving it back into place.
Is the 350Z the most balanced sports cars you can buy?
>not heavy but not light
>good but not crazy power
>decent but not amazing in both corners or straight lines
>impractical but not useless
The correct word here is mediocre, not balanced.
Have you driven one? I didn't like the one I drove. It felt bigger than it actually was, wasn't fun until I was really beating on it (felt lazy), and then at the point I did romp on it, it just felt twitchy and nervous.
Wasn't a fan of the steering (not much feel), or the other problems (lack of visibility and impractical from only two seats + big cross beam in hatch as a strut tower bar)
>>15414377
>over 3600lb for a two seat """sports car"""
>not heavy
Okay guys I have a real question.
I used to daily a 2004 350z (pic related). It was fast, fun, and handled like a dream. The way the car would effortlessly glide around corners was addicting. It was so easy and so much fun to drive it fast. Until it rained. And thats a big problem because I live in Seattle. The car felt completely unstable if there was any moisture on the ground, and every once in a while it would break traction in stupid places; scaring the shit out of me. I tried getting better tires, and no I'm not a shit tier driver.
So I decided RWD wasn't for me to dd, and FWD doesn't fit my driving style. That leaves AWD, so I sold my 350z and got a 2006 WRX about a year ago.
Awesome car, a blast to drive, and the Subaru guys out here are great. But there's just one problem. No matter how much I try, I just can't get this car to float around corners like my Z would! Yeah big shocker I know.
Anyways my question is: Is there an AWD car that is able to glide around corners like my Z did? Is there any AWD vehicle out there that will give me the same sense of confidence?
>>15414338
not really
i dont understand your logic for not just getting what you enjoy
awd is a rich person feture that is just more shit that could break anyone who launches an awd car that they own does so knowing they are ruining the car every time they do it
>>15414338
R32 GT-R
You can even add a kill switch for the ATTESA for when it's dry.
GC8 WRX STI Type-R or RA
You can lock the rear diff to 65% for drift mode
OP here. Well I outlined my reasoning for picking AWD, more of a process of elimination really.
The body roll I feel when going around corners is unsettling, and there's an uncomfortable amount of understeer. I can take corners almost just as fast as in my Z, but I am shitting myself the whole way! In the Z I could flick the car around corners really quick and know exactly where my limits were.
I got rid of the Z because DDing RWD + Seattle weather = sadness. Also the car was really fucking small and I couldn't fit anything in it. Then the only cupholder broke. Awesome awesome car, and I wish I could have kept it, but it was no good for me to daily. Would make a PERFECT second car though.
