Its ok OP. We all read Ishkur's guide
Working on my friends 2005 Ford Ranger 3.0L v6, I need some second opinions.
Poor gas mileage, and recently Multiple codes thrown. The truck runs fine for the most part, but the idle is a tad rough, and idles between 700-900rpms.
(combustion too lean bank 1, bank 2, random misfire, misfire cylinder 1, misfire cylinder 5, misfire detected on start up)
First, I replaced the spark plugs, the wires. Tested the coils. All are working properly.
I installed a new MAF, didn't fix the issue. New fuel filter, didn't fix the issue. Compression tested cylinder 1 and 5 to rule out valve issue, both came out okay (~180psi)
Vacuum leak test with brake clean, nothing.
Listened to the pulsing of injectors 1-2-3, all sounded okay (other 3 covered by intake manifold) I also checked these 3 injectors for resistance, all were 13.0 and within spec.
Tested the fuel pressure yesterday, but did it incorrectly. Going to do this tomorrow to ensure the fuel pump is working properly.
So, If I confirm tomorrow the fuel pressure is where it needs to be, I'm stuck. The only thing I can think of, is something going on with the injectors, if indeed the fuel pump is working properly. The truck has 210,000 miles on it, and seems to be rebuilt.
I'm planning to replace all 6 injectors with brand new ford injectors, since cleaning and testing the ones I have now, is about the same price as new injectors.
Someone mentioned 02 sensors, but unsure if this would cause the symtom. Any way to test these sensors? I know of people who clean them with success.
Any advice, info, would be greatly appreciated.

Sell it
Ranger a shit

Why even post.......?
>>15492966
To spread the word!
Is this too close to the side wall to plug? I guess it doesn't matter, I already started but I wanna know if I fucked up.
>>15492922
The hell is in your tire and how did it happen?
>>15492930
U just got bamboozled haha
There is a good chance it is. Plug it up, inflate the tire and watch out for bulging. A little bulging is guaranteed, but there is a big risk that it'll grow way too big, which means its not safe to drive on
I know the pain. Got this the summer of 2015, and I was skeptic, but the bulge is minimal and there are no signs of more cord damage
Recently picked up this CLK 550 for myself.
Any thoughts/opinions or advice from /o/ or CLK owners?
advice on what? just drive it and enjoy?

Thought I was the only one on here with one. Mine is a 2009, what year is yours?
>>15493297
Mine's a 2008!
It was the best optioned one I could find given that most meh-tier 2009+ ones breached ~$20k.
How's it treating you so far?
Hey /o/.
Looking to purchase one of these two in the next coming up year and I want your 'opinions' on these two vehicles.
I live in Colorado so the Subaru AWD tax is pretty insane (can't find a new WRX for less than $28,000 before tax and fees). Whereas I can find a GTI for around $22,000-$24,000 here.
I understand the GTI has less power and is FF and the WRX has AWD and more power, but I've heard I can squeeze out 310chp out of the GTI with just a tune. I'm not looking for an end all be all vehicle here, but simply one that will be a fun and practical DD.
So has anyone here owned either one of these vehicles? Hated something about either one of them? Been absolutely fucked by their reliability? I just was a general consensus between these two vehicles of which is better, I'll test drive both of them before buying them. But having another general opinion on the two that aren't being paid to shill the brands would be great.

is this awd?
>>15492738
WRX, fun turbo'd AWD that looks better and holds value the best
After driving beaters all my life, I finally have a good job that would allow me to purchase a nice car.
Some info about me:
age: 25
salary: 90K
Location: Canada
looking at the M2 as my number 1.
Others I'm considering are the Mustang GT or the subie STI.
Would the M2 be a good choice? The higher price tag of the M2 is the only reason I'm even considering the other two.

Pretty numb and sloppy to drive compared to the E90/Non-F30 M3s in general.
If you don't live in Quebec, you can import an R34 GT-R from Japan for about the same price as an M2. Buying a landed one in Canada will of course cost a lot more.
Fun fact: There were more 360 Modenas built than R34s.
How can I make my car sound "cool"
I bought a 2016 sonata hybrid (pic related) and it is QUIET as fuck. You cannot hear the engine at all and I'm paranoid about a biker or pedestrian hitting me by not hearing me coming.
By "cool" I don't mean those annoying ricer cars farting machine 1990 civics. Just something that makes it sound nice to the ear.
I saw turbo whistles on amazon you put in the exhaust but sounded too gay for me.
You bought an econobox, don't try to pretend it's fast.

How good are the 944 series from Porsche during the 80s?
I've found a guy who wants to sell me his 1986 944. It's in excellent condition for it's age and from what it felt like when I drove it, handles and sounds amazing.
I've just never really gotten into Porsche's before so I dont know what to expect. It's got the manual 2.5l inline four in it.
Expect shit to break often.
As long as you have a reliable daily and about 1k ready for repairs at any and all times, you should be alright. They're generally not reliable enough to be a daily, but they're great when they work.
Good enough that in this poor area a lot of people are able to maintain them and drive them.
Why have 99 problems when you can have 944 of them?
The AC compressor on my 2005 Odyssey is kill. The dealer wants 1100 for parts and labor. Is that a reasonable mark-up, or a brutal assfucking?
>>15492173
Brutal. Go to the local u pull it and grab a used one for $30. Put it on yourself for free in 30 mins. Get a recharge kit for maybe $10.
>>15492173
>>15492173
Seems about right for a job correctly done, probably a few more parts might need to be replaced if the compressor spilled its metal shavings from its guts throughout the system before it died.
Tell me /o/, whose worse?
People that don't care about traffic laws (Example: not yielding to cars ALREADY in a traffic circle )?
OR
People inventing their own laws (Example: people stopping in the middle of a traffic circle to let some one enter)?
What's a traffic circle?
>traffic circle
y-you mean
a roundabout?
>>15492181
A roundabout.
How do you fix this problem? Happens every time I put the air on and leaves a stain
>>15492158
You don't.
Or move to a dry country.
>>15492158
I'd use an anti fog treatment
Hey br/o/s, I need some advice. My insurance company just notified me that, since I am under 25, they will stop insuring my motorcycle until I buy a car.
As a result I've found myself in a shitty situation, but I have $4100 to blow on a car. I found a Chevy Cobalt SS for $3000 at a dealership, and I absolutely love the car in every way. Looks, sound, feel, etc. The catch? I test drove it, and it has issues idling (revs up/down constantly, stalls itself), and the check engine light is on. I ran a diagnostics and it threw 8 codes, all of which point to the issue being either the O2 sensor or the supercharger. If it's the supercharger I can't afford to fix the car unless he drops the price (would likely fix myself), but if it's an O2 sensor issue that's am affordable fix.
What do you guys think? They already agreed, but would it be worth the $80+ fee to have a mechanic look at it or should I find another car? I absolutely love it but it's a hard decision...
>>15492138
>My insurance company just notified me that, since I am under 25, they will stop insuring my motorcycle until I buy a car.
Find a new insurance company.
Are you retarded?
Find something else.
>>15492138
>all of which point to the issue being either the O2 sensor
O2 sensor codes say most likely you have a vacuum leak or a fuel pump issue. One is really cheap to fix, the other can be a bitch and a half. Don't be an idiot about this.
>Buy shitbox on criagslist

Where can i get a fake year tag sticker for my plates guys?
>>15492095
Just scrape one off your neighbors car.
>>15492106
but they cut them up into pieces and fuck the whole process up.
>>15492112
Commission one of the /osg/ guys to make you one.
You realize your looking for advice if how to commit a crime, right? I really hope you overpaid for your car.
5th gen Celica vs 5th gen Civic. Which shitbox is more fun, reliable as a dd? Civic seems more fun because of the huge aftermarket, vtec and stuff, but Celica is more unique. Whats your opinion, anons?
>>15492093
heavy expensive crap. get a wrx
6th Gen celica is sporty, prelude is sporty. The cars you suggested are literal shit boxes. From the two you picked the civic is more practical and just as fast
>>15492096
> light cheap reliable celica
Vs
> over priced under steer heavy wrx
