I go to college soon and I really want a motorcycle to drive around there. Is there any decent motorcycle(Preferably Harley) that is under 2000? Looking for a chart like the sticky, just for motorcycles. Thanks.
>>15494463
>Harley
>>15494482
Anything man, I know nothing about bikes, its the first thing that comes to mind, I want something that I can go cross country with
a motorcycle is not a good only vehicle for college. I have experience with that.
as for bikes, just get anything that runs and has less than a 800cc twin. look for honda shadows.
I just recently started driving (and filling up) my own car and I think I fucked up and put e10 in the tank (only half-filled it).
The pump said 94 octane and I saw nothing about ethanol on there and my car can take 90 or higher, but the receipt says I put in e10.
I live in NSW, Australia and I don't understand the octane rating system (I hear it is different in aus), can someone explain to me how/if I fucked up here and how to not do it again?
what car do you drive?
>>15494596
2002 Subaru Outback

e10 is ok then
Why haven't you removed the spare tire and tools from your trunk yet /o/? Easily 35lbs or better in weight savings, better gas mileage, better acceleration. You probably have roadside assistance via insurance anyways.
>2011, not stripping unnecessary weight from your race car
Because I live in the middle of nowhere, and if I have a problem I need to fix it myself.
The weight in the rear give more grip to the tires and helps my acceleration.
cause somebody stole my spare tire

Anyone have any experience with working on an old Chevy C10?
I just recently came into a little money and have been looking at getting a project to work on
What do you want to know? All American body on frame solid axle trucks were similar back then so I might be able to help you out.
>>15493772
They're cool old trucks. Reliable and simple if you un-smog it
>>15493826
Probably going to want to do an engine swap from whichever one i get, and a manual conversion if its automatic. I'm assuming with a big engine bay and because its a older Chevy it shouldn't be very challenging?
I live in a rural area so my craigslist options are limited. There's a few I've seen but a lot of them are rust buckets.
It's the weekend! You know what that means!
>what have you done to your car

I'm broke as fuck waiting for my first unemployment check. Going to replace the cylinders on the hood of my e34

The maiden voyage WV /o/ meet happens 7/30/16 at 8:00PM in the Marquee Cinema's Side Lot in Beckley, WV. Be there or be square.
All cars welcome, both most exotic car and biggest shitbox win the prize of a mcchicken. And that's a prize you don't wanna miss!

I might be transferring schools to West Virginia. How bad is it senpai
>>15493478
Which school? Also college or high school?
Really depends on what specific school you're going to.
Getting tired of my hemi bending me over at the pump. Gonna go look at one of these. Is this the closes thing to a new geo metro or twingo that exist in usdm
>>15493387
If you didn't have the foresight to see this coming it's your own fault, but it entertains me
>>15493387
No, it's not. It has a CVT and it's loud and uncomfortable. If you're going to suffer at the bottom tier of cars (your hemi probably got repo'd), at least get a Nissan Versa.
>>15493387
a manual honda fit is nice but def more expensive than a mirage.
>>15493494
lol, and you think the geo wasn't loud and uncomfortable?
What are some girl racer cars?

I'm looking to do some modifications to my Ford f150 from 1997. It's my first vehicle and what I'm really looking to do is improve the gas milage. I was thinking an improved air intake, any suggestions?
if its the v8 dual exhaust helps a bunch
then its tires.
NOT AN INTAKE
Is it the V6 or the V8?
If it's a V6, see if you can track down maintenance history. If you can't, then start replacing all the gaskets you feel comfortable with. The original gaskets on that engine for that year are trash and need to be replaced, or else you'll destroy the engine. Most notably, the intake manifold gasket likes to go out and leak coolant into the cylinders.
After you get those fixed, the engine's pretty rock solid.

The truck was only driven until 2001 where it then say unused in a parking lot for 15 years.
I learned to drive stick on an F-150 with no tachometer, and as a result, I shift entirely on engine noise and intuition. Is this normal, or do most people pay attention to their tach when shifting/rev matching?
I still drive my civic with no tach by sound aswell. Its becomes second nature when jumping in any other vehicle.
>>15493212
>civic
My old truck had no tach, I shifted by sound/vibration and speed. I put together what speed my gears wound out at, and shifted near there. When it comes to Rev matching, my transmission was pretty God tier. Wouldn't let you in gear without clutch unless you were in correct Rev range. So I just had to blip the throttle til I was in range and it would slide right in.
