That is a Lancer from a place that does not like angles much.
Hey, /o/, So in 3-4 weeks I'm closing a deal on this baby (Pic related)
It's going to be my first Ferrari and I wanted to ask a few questions for Ferrari owners here, how much does maintenance cost per year? I've got around 10K$ for it yearly, is that enough? Also the car is in absolute perfect condition, a bit skeptical about the idea being a Spider instead of a Coupe but it's the best one on the market in Dubai at the moment (And ALSO a 2009! ) So yeah, the car with registration and insurance is going to cost me around 100K$
need general advice, what to do/not to do. I've already driven it and I love it. I already own a 2011 Golf GTI for daily use so this is only going to be a weekend car. Thoughts? Ideas? Where to park it? Would people Key-it just for the fucks of it?

Guys I did my first Street race today! I'm reletivly new to car culture, so I'm fuckin stoked right now. Let explain the story...
>I had a bad day so I went for a night cruise through a Forrested hwy
>going down my on ramp some faggot civic si tries to cut me off
> I flatten out and cut him off and whatever car that was already on the freeway
>hes weaving around cars
>he gets behind me so I downshift and start flooring it
>I let off at 85mph and he's way behind me
>for 5 or so miles we play around cutting eachother off enshit
>he takes off so I signal to pass a truck
>I assume truck was either being a honda fanboy and cuts me off to give him a heads start
>because he cuts me off
>whatever beaner
>pass his ass up, and caught up to the civic si
Shit was fun, I'd like to thank the guy for playing tag with me. I drive mk7 golf 1.8t btw, so it's not often someone fucks with me on the highway and I'm still faster.
Did you at least suck his cock afterwards, op?

Sounds like you went for a bit of a hoon m8, not a street race.

Dually's are terrible offroad anyways. Only good for towing stability, really.
Should an Audi be capable of oversteer?
Bought a 2004 A4 "Sport Quattro" around 5 months ago after my 328i took a shit. It's the 3.0 V6 (which will blow up soon I assume) which makes a rather underwhelming 220bhp considering it weighs I'm excess of 1700kg.
As far as I'm aware the car is bone stock, it was bought off a 50ish year old man, so I don't think he'd be the kind of guy to mess with sway bars and suspension to get it to slide. The only modification I've done is fit 4 235/40/18 alloys with Michelin Pilot Sport 4's (I know a guy who works at a tyre place otherwise I wouldn't dream of spending so much on tyres for such a cheap car).
I've never owned an Audi before, and having heard horror stories about how they are understeering barges I was surprised to find mine is quite tail happy. Driving quite aggressively on twisty country roads it's quite easy to provoke the back end to come out, even by just carrying speed through a corner rather than being a maniac with the right foot. It doesn't 'rotate' like my BMW did, rather, it seems to crab across the road in a 4 wheel drift which you intuitively correct with steering input, though I'm sure if you just held the steering straight and buried the throttle the car would pull itself straight rather than spin out like a RWD car.
My question is, is this normal? I'm slightly worried the car is damaged in some way as I don't understand why a car with such a bad reputation for fun drives like this. The AWD system most certainly is working as it will do doughnuts all day in a gravel car park and is unstoppable in the snow.
Sorry for the life story but I felt it was necessary for people to understand the predicament :3
>>15562129
Your tires are shot. It should be ploughing every corner.
>>15562150
The tyres were bought less than 2 months ago, they are miles away from the wear bars.
I forgot to mention that it only oversteers in the damp and wet. Only way I've been able to get it to slide in the dry is by being an idiot, i.e. hairpin turn, second gear, foot to the floor and throw the steering on violently.
>>15562166
Then your tires are shit and can't handle water.
>pushrods
The only manufacturer running pushrods is in first...
Your move OP.
>>15562112
What?
I've owned a Miata for the lesser part of 3 years, but now I want to push it up a bit. Hence, I've been looking at 2nd Gen RX-7s. Is all the rotard stuff on here a giant meme or is there some truth hidden in them?
>>15561924
How about you type like you've had an original idea in your head at some point.
>>15561924
This is b8
>>15561924
Its all true, they're shit.
Should I do it?
The catch: 97,000 miles

Its passed its prime.

If it's a diesel, no.
If it's a petrol, yes.
not really no
>>15561845
An AE112? Quality shitbox. Rice looks like shit in that colour, though. White with black accents, skirts and spoiler would be better and the headlights could do with a polish.
It sounds like every single popular car and automaker has an awful fan base.
Fans of the god machine.
>>15561734
This is why I look for the unpopular cars on the same platforms that can use all the same performance aftermarket.
example: Want a 79-04 Mustang but hate the fanbase? Ford Fairmont is your answer.
shit like that. Makes for interesting sleepers.
>>15561734
Surprise, the idiots talk the loudest. Only really cancerous scene I can think of is g35/350z, good luck getting any performance info out of those vapelords.
is it a terrible idea to buy used suspension?
I'm driving on totally ruined coilovers and i think if i buy this set it will save me in gas and ride quality.
How bad do they look?
>>15561702
>tein on stock struts
Likely blown up.
Whats the price?
looks like you need to work some overtime
>>15561714

I've been desperately trying to find direct fit springs to go with this other build i'm making.
But it's so hard, OEM springs are super expensive, and everything else is just fucking lowering springs.
what's the best way for a bad driver to git gud in a place that doesn't have any busses?
>>15561601
abandoned car park or football field
Bad driver meaning what?
Ilearned to drive in a bug cemetery. No curbs to fuck up the wheels, nit a lot of traffic and everyone's already dead
>>15561651
Big cemetery*
Chubby ass fingers on my phone
Pic very much related, an incredible disappointment after all the hullabaloo. It was so insulting given the price and prestige, I could barely stand sitting in it.
that steering wheel looks so derpy it would feel like a clown is staring at me when driving
ITT: poorfags, sour grapes, etc
>>15561557
hey I used to own a w211 but the wheel does look fucking retarded
>headlights stay on when the ignition is turned off
>windows inoperable when the ignition is turned off
Is this what engineers make so much money to come up with?
>>15561316
My windows stay operable with the ignition off until I open the door.
>>15561334
>20 year old cars
