Sup br/o/s, I need your unbiased, JDM as fuck opinion on my situation. I recently bought an FG2 civic from my brother and it's a great daily driver, but it leaves me wishing for more power. I love everything else about the car; it has great handling, nice and rev-happy and the interior is deceptively comfy. My question is whether bolt-on mods and a tune would sort of "quell" my need for speed, or am I better off trading up and putting that 1500 towards something like a 350z? Any Z owners are welcome to share their opinions on their cars, thanks!
>pic related the civic on the right
Sell it and buy the Z.

I don't know how rare AMC Eagles are around other places but I've never seen one this clean before. Hell I could afford to buy it as a daily right now, kind've tempted to do that.
>>15564849
AMC Eagles pop up every now and then. SX4s on the other hand are much harder to come by.
>>15564849
I've seen that one on CL before! (Ny region here) I'm a big amc fan. If I had the money/space id pick it up
Sup auto dunno if this is used by any of you but its like 5 dollars off at AUTO CANCER (zone) I know Seafoam loyalist exist out there so.
Good for maintenance and routine cleaning.
It is not miracle liquid. It will not fix any issues.

In older vehicles (that is its largest target base) it has a tendency to do exactly what it says- remove carbon buildup. Which then instantly makes its way around the engine, causing damage.
Also, look at a rear main seal. As it wears over time, there's also a carbon buildup on the crank directly next to it. Remove that carbon and the crank no longer seals.
If you use it regularly, it can be helpful.
If you use it for the first time after 150k miles, 75% chance you'll develop a leak.

Whats the fuck is wrong with the transmission in new GMs? I drive one for work and this fucking thing lags anytime it has to do anything.
It lags going in to gear, it lags when pressing the gas from a stop, it lags when you tap the break, then press the gas again. It lags when you suddenly give it extra gas to pass a snail.
I fucking hate this thing. Automatics should be banned. Anyone who cant drive a stick, can take the bus.
>>15564255
What cars?
A lot of the new GM cars are less GM then a Toyota Cavalier is toyota.
Anyway, most of them are hodgepodge machines made in collaboration with whoever was most profitable. Opel, vauxhualle, Tata even Lada names you've never heard in America had a hand in your cars.
And that's why something suck and somethings are great.
>>15564284
>Opel and Vauxhall aren't GM brands
I hope this is bait
>>15564284
i think they have separate design and production site since they're only in europe/uk
but that doesn't mean they aren't GM brand
The only race that the Ford GT will win this year will be LeMans, they paid off officials to clinch a victory. The 488 GTE already has 3 wins and will take constructors championship with ease. I'm calling it now
Ford GT sucks

Why are rear wheel drives better than front wheel drives?
>>15563927
They're not.
They both have their place.
Don't know why i'm giving a serious answer, someone is going to post FWD cuck now.
Why hasn't anybody ever made a 6-wheel car, where the middle pair is driven, with the front and rear wheels doing the steering? It'd be agile as fuck, with a virtually zero turning circle.
is it fucking normal that I had my first car for a month now, and my license for 5 months and all this time i have this urge to be constantly speeding and doing dangerous shit on the roads,
How to fight this /o/, besides from going to a track
You'll outgrow it.

ITT: Cars that were considered to look shit when they were first released, but have slowly grown on you.
E60 M Sport trim with shark fin looks the shit in my opinion, but I thought they were fuck ugly when they first came out.
KYS
they are still ugly as shit
The 90's were a rough time for the way American cars looked, but this is ok now.
>>15563797
I like the "get the fuck out of my way poor people" aesthetic to it, even though they are cheap as chips. Plus when they are in silver it hides the admittedly ugly headlight shape.
If my oil pump is failing, would rubbing some light premix help out a bit?

Looks OK i think.
And it's really hard to fuck up a old Tacoma.
No way to know for sure, ask for when you can come and check the car out. If he's weird about it, something is up. But still go check it out.
Also ask him the trim and all the features it has. Write the features down.
Things to check:
Run hand where diffrent parts of the body meet. If the car has ever been in an accident, you will feel uneven edges, since no body shop in the world can complexity restore a car.
Check each and every part of the car for rust, see how much there is.
Check how bad the tires are, that may be a cost later down the road.
Open the hood, check the engine bay for all tampering, check valve cover removal by checking for grease around the nuts, if there is none implies changing of internal engine parts like chain or cams or whatever.
Check under the car, for dripping etc, and maybe around the car if it was dripping somewhere.
Basically check everything.
Then test drive, if no test drive is allowed, turn around and walk away. NEVER BUY A CAR WITHOUT A TEST DRIVE!
first, before starting, on battery mode turn on a few accessories radio, blower, etc, see if the battery is in good condition. Ideally all battery accessories should work without being dim or slow or whatever.
Then start the car, see if the starting time is long, now listen to the engine, maybe walk outside and listen for weird noises.
Start the car by putting it in L not D, see how the car feels in low. then 2 and whatever other gears are allowed, then drive and see how well it shifts.
Also test Reverse and neutral.
Neutral is important, drive the car on a clean road, to a speed, put in neutral and coast. DO NOT PUT THE CAR IN GEAR WHILE IT IS MOVING OR YOU WILL FUCK THE TORQUE CONVERTER!!! SLOW DOWN AND STOP AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THEN PUT IN DRIVE AND LEAVE. DON'T EVER EVER EVER PUT A COASTING AUTO IN GEAR
The purpose of this test is to hear drive components at speed while the engine is on low
>>15563615
Than you very much for the tips. Do you have any knowledge of the 2.7l engine? Stuff I should look out for there?
>>15563650
It is a toyota RZ built with mostly Steel and iron parts. It was researched along side the ZZ series, but for higher output tasks.
It is a tank of an engine, and will probably be the last thing your Tacoma will need fixed.
Only advice on the engine is to check for tampering, toyota engines are bullet proof, but don't really LIKE being messed with improperly
I'm only suggesting that, since he said he wanted to cold air intake it, which first off doesn't do shit, but second it implies he likes armature tampering.
Anything else?
