Hey /o/, my ex just dumped me because my car has been having issues? She said she'll have me back once they're fixed but I'm poorfag so need your help.

Okay. So when I put my car into drive, my passenger side window very slowly rolls down. It seems like the faster I go, the faster it rolls down. She doesn't like the wind in her hair. Not sure what to do. Other issues:

>touching the brakes makes all the dash lights dim completely
>turning on the ac also turns on the seat warmers butt the button is broken so I can't turn them off
>letting off the gas at exactly 69 mph doesn't (unrev?) the engine
>seat recliner on passenger is broken, either stands straight up or falls all the way back, ex decided last few weeks to sit in back because of this
>all of the lights in the car turn on when I turn the headlights on
>windshield wipers are opposite, if one is down, other is up
>radio station is stuck on a nu-classical station and a Celine Dion cd is jammed in the cd player
>glovebox smells like poo, can't get it out no matter how hard I try
>PEACE bumper sticker with Muslim crescent removed on bumper, afraid to take off because might scratch paint
>exhaust smells like hot gym clothes and hot mildew

Why don't people talk more about this guy? He is statistically the best wrc driver ever with 9 consecutive championships, something that has never even been none, nonetheless in a row. He also holds the world record for pikes peak. Why is it debated that he isn't the best rally driver ever or even one of the best drivers of all time?

I think i fucked up /o/

I just drove home from a friend (about 10 km) and after about 3 km the battery icon appeared in the dashboard of my car (99 miata). i didn't know what that means and i thought i might have a problem with the battery. i just bought this car 2 days ago so i thought the battery might just be old or broke. when i got close to home i noticed the temperature gauge was a lot higher then usual. i started driving slower and coasting as far as possible and it went down a little. i did this until i arrived at home and as far as i know the temperature gauge never reached maximum.
Of course, once i was at home and thought about what had happened and did some research, i realized my alternator belt had snapped and the water pump didn't work anymore. i checked under the hood and the belt was gone. There is some coolant fluid sprayed around the coolant tank. after the engine had cooled down i started it for a few seconds and it ran just fine. there are no strange noises and i didn't see any smoke or steam through all of this and didn't smell anything either.
but still i drove without water pump for about 7 km / 5-7 minutes.

how fucked am i? did i kill my new car?
it's 5:30 am here and i'm going crazy.

So, I recently bought a '96 Ford Taurus, and I've noticed a fee problems with it. First, the radio doesn't work when in gear, Reverse or Forward. Only in park or neutral. Also, the seatbelt alert thing clicks and flashes at me the whole time I'm driving, Does the Taurus have the seatbelt radio mute feature I've heard about?

Also, the power steering cuts out sometimes, could that be related in any way?

I finally got my lights fixed but there are some more issues I'm having with it. Today I drove to town and parked my car in a Walmart parking lot and when I came back out to start it I got silence. There was no noise from the starter and the voltage meter bottomed out. The best part was I went back inside to kill some time and when I went back out to try again it started up just fine. Does anyone know what would have caused this? Also the Speedometer cable is giving me fits. I pulled the old section out and retrieved the bits of the inner cable out out the hole for it on the tranny but when I go to install the new cable it won't grab the end of it. Anyway, I would like to thank everyone who helped and who also put up with my autism.

ITT: Shit you had to go through for your first cars and what they where.
My situation:
I'm currently saving up for my first car, pretty much the only thing I've been looking forward to all my life. Well it's nothing like I thought it would be. I'm currently working at McDonald's making 8.35 an hour for about 7 months now, I have been saving up every check and only used about 3-400 in total mostly for my parents. I hate every second being there and the pay doesn't justify me dealing with the bullshit I have to, but still greatful for a job. I have to date $2649.64. That won't get me jack shit around here. My dad says he'll chip in about 4K with me, but it can't be manual and I don't want a hand-out. Should I take the help or keep saving and buy a piece of crap?
I feel buying a cheap car will only result in various repairs. Or I can buy something nice, but auto for around 7k and It would have to stick with me throughout college. There is plan-c, I could take my dads 2002 Infiniti G20, and use it pull more hours at work until I have enough for a real first car. I could use it as a good learner but I just don't want it, we've had it for five years and it runs great plus it has an SR-20DE which is cool. I'll probably go with plan c but I'd like to hear your opinions and some struggles you guys had to go through for your first cars and what they were.
