Can /o/ please redpill me on the new Dodge Ram? In the market to buy a 2016 3/4 ton v8 american truck, crew cab.
Dodge Ram seems much less expensive than Ford/GM. Why is that? I've read that they have been offering steep rebates for the last few years to gain market share... but is there more to the story?
Why should or shouldn't I buy a 2016 Ram over an F-150 or GM 1500? Max I want to spend is 40k. Seems like the money buys you much more with Dodge.

Maybe you should mosey on back to /pol/, friendo.
Chrysler products are trash.
You get what you pay for, OP. MOPAR squeezing pennies translates into lousier overall quality; the last good car they made was the fourth generation Grand Caravan
Where's the filters?
I've always wondered this too. Afraid to ask. Someone please answer.

Working till 11.
Gonna be replacing wear bearings and tire rods on Sunday. Detailing tomorrow if it's not pouring rain tomorrow.
Any br/o/s know a good way/product to keep a wax job good through rain?
Tell me about this meme /o/
I've got a chance to buy a 1984 240 wagon, manual trans, 168k miles, well taken care of from what I gather. Some local guy has it in his driveway with a for sale sign on it, I could get is for $1000 USD.
Checking it out one of these days, anything I should look for specifically on these besides the obvious?
Is it even worth it? I don't need it, and I'd rather have a sports car for a project but like
it's $1000 why the fuck not
How much of a pig is it to drive? Reliable? Easy to do work on?
Thanx

I have a 2001 Subaru Forester 5MT right now, I'd like to sell it or trade for a sportier car as the end of the summer approaches and people are getting rid of their sports cars and looking for more winter-capable cars.
I don't find it particularly enjoyable to drive and the practicality isn't all that welcome of a tradeoff for driving pleasure
I don't expect good handling or anything from a 240, but is it still a fun shitter to cruise around in?
Or is it more like "wow this sucks kill me"
If I end up selling the Foz, will the Volvo on some snow tires make it through a Colorado winter?
>>15605295
It's thirty years old and only has 168k on it. It probably spent a long time not used and not cared for. Definitely check the service history if its available and expect to drop a few thousand on repairs.
Also, its a Volvo wagon. Of course its a bit of a pig.
>>15605429
That logic isn't terribly good, 5250 miles a year isn't all that uncommon in vehicles that are daily drivers even
The guy mentioned he recently had the FI tuned, timing done, new tires,
from what I've heard anecdotally about them, they're pretty bulletproof, I can't imagine it would need *thousands* in repairs
whatever it does need eventually I'd like to mostly do myself, I would imagine the're simple enough to work on, but I can only imagine the rat's nest of vacuum lines under the hood
What are the 10 fastest cars on /o/ around the Nurburgring?

The facelift includes a new grille, new headlights, new taillights, a new front bumper, and an updated interior.
>Interior updates include a new HUD, center stack, Apple Car Play, DVD player and a new designed dashboard layout.
Nothing much from the 2016 facelift.
So what do you think /o/?

Why have paddle shifters and other automatic shlushboxes replaced manual in performance cars when they are completly inferior save for heavy traffic?
Even fucking Porsche&BMW which have been completely focused on performance and driver engagement have thrown it out of the window with PDK and DCT

(not another god damn headunit thread)
How hard is it to wire a headunit with no wiring diagram?
I own a car that people dont tend to modify so nobody has posted a diagram as far as I can tell, the stock unit died on me recently and apparently, being a rare model, the replacements are around $700
So how can I wire in a new headunit (pic related) with no harness support and no diagram?
>>15612395
I should add, as far as I can find the 6 stacker in my car was an option that barely anybody fitted and they took it away after just 6 months
They used unique plugs so a harness wont fit
>>15612395
Pretty hard. You need at least harness. You will need a voltage and ampere meter to measure individual cables, need to find gnd etc. If color coding is fucked up, basically through trial and error. Old headunit might have a sticker with wiring diagram. That might be helpful.
