I have an 04 Civic and its body is fucked. Huge scratches, large dents, it just isn't pretty. Only 114k miles on it though, and its mechanically sound.
How can I get the most value out of this thing? Part it out?
Ecoboost it
>>15824735
Yeah basically part it out, sell it on ebay/craigslist. Unless you can jew a dealership into giving you a good trade in.
>>15824749
Sounds like a pain in the ass. The KBB value is $2000, maybe less. Like I said, it runs great but has a lot of cosmetic damage
Does anyone have experience with the tracking devices that insurance companies offer now? I'm considering it for the baseline 5% off, but the privacy concerns plus the idea of them being mandatory and negatively impacting rates in the future worry me.
This again? There was a thread that lasted 3 fucking days about this, Fuck you OP
>>15824733
No, no, no and no. Fuck those things.
It'll give you a small discount if you drive exactly how they want you to drive, but fuck up once and your rates go through the roof.
They collect driver habits through the telematics systems in OBD-II and they share this info with other insurance companies/3rd parties/federal government
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

What car did you want when you were younger /o/?
How'd it work out for you?
3 year old car and you were a "kid"?

Should i get a miata or a 350z /o/?
Are you straight or gay? This is important
>>15825668
This. If you're a straight man get the Miata, if you're a gay man or a woman get the 350Z.
>>15825668
I'm gay actually
Having trouble deciding which car I should pick from the three here, got about 60k saved up, looking into a Lexus IS 350 f sport, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, or Subaru WRX STI?
Which one do you like better?
>>15824524
Memes aside, why no Golf R or Ford Focus RS?
>>15824524
Naw. Go buy this if you want a good wipe
The evo is better than the sti.
>Be Murrican
>need a car for about 10-12 months
>want something fun
>want something cheap
What should I get? I am thinking about a MX-5
MX-5s really aren't 'cheap' anymore. You've got two options in that category.
A clean, stock, decently running NA will set you back about $4000-$5000.
If you're looking for one at $2000-$3000, expect it to be in shit condition or slammed/stanced to all hell.
Sorry man, you missed that boat.
Why do you only need a car for 10 months?
small to mid displacement motorcycle.

Why can't Euros into Manual?
>>15824461
thats because of big audi, bmw, merc pressence. In poo-land we still use manual
>>15824461
It's actually really funny. Jap and euro performance cars are usually automatic while many american performance cars are available with a manual transmission only. Meanwhile euro and jap commuter cars are offered in manual while most american commuter cars are auto only.
>>15824535
>Learned to drive a manual solely to drive a Viper
Probably a good thing it wasn't ever offered in automatic, I'd never have taken the time otherwise.
My family is helping me pay for an newish economical full size sedan. We were looking at Fusion, Accord and Avalon hybrids, but found an an Acura RLX Hybrid in our price range that we all really like. I didn't even know Acura had a hybrid sedan and had until today never sat in an RLX but it was comfy as fuck and drove surprisingly well. So far it seems pretty awesome, but too good to be true.
Anyone on here have any experience with an RLX hybrid?
>>15824398
Why? No enthusiast would choose any of those. And if you're not an enthusiast why are you here? You could get any number of interesting cars for less than 8k on craigslist.
>>15824790
>Don't buy a new luxury car, but a shitbox on Craigslist instead
>>15824398
I really like what they tried to do with the RLX Hybrid, but honestly for the amount you're spending on it you're better off getting a lightly used Lexus LS460 instead
>>15824800
cheap used car does not have to equal shitbox
Would you rather have a car that looks ugly but unique, or inoffensive but boring?
I like my cars, like I do OP's mom.
Not the best looking, but dat tongue game tho...

Do rich people make fun of their friends when they can only afford the base model of a supercar?
Only if it doesn't have ecoboost
>>15824162
>Do rich people make fun of their friends when they can only afford the base model of a supercar?
There's actually a lot of rich people that hide their power levels. They want to be part of society but not become a target due to their wealth.

the ones I know do.
Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C Roadster

The car originally hits above 200mph(322 kph) but the speed is governed to 196mph(315 kph). The future Black Series Editions will have a 200mph+ top speed.

The three contestants are:
2001 VW Lupo 1,4 MPI
1992 Toyota Starlet 1.3 XLi (P8)
1997 Honda Civic 1.4i S (6th Gen, 3-Door Hatchback)
It's for my girlfriend and will only be used in and around a bigger city. She's not that talented when it comes to driving, but she's not a car abuser by definition.
Which and why?
>>15824109
Mileage on each? Does any of those need work done to it, or new tires or something?
Assuming you're in Germany, I'd say Lupo. Most recent of the three, parts aplenty. The Yota and Honduh might be more less prone to failure, but some parts can be hard to come by due to the sheer age and fewer exemplars of those.
i would just pick the safest one anon
So not a 30-year old starlet
>>15824124
Honda ~220.000km
Lupo ~200.000km
Starlet ~190.000km
All three have a fresh safety inspection valid for the next 2 years. Germany ist korrekt.
I allready drove a very similar Honda and the exact same Toyota and both are very decent cars, espacially when it comes to fuel consumption.
The only Lupo I ever drove was a GTI, which is fun, but too expensive.
>>15824126
Yeah i know what you're thinking, but my aunt drove her Starlet P8 for nearly 25 years. It worked perfectly until some idiot drove into the parked car.
>have brand-new Ram 1500 (5.7 hemi V8)
>engine sputters and shuts off immediately after starting unless I rev it a couple of times
What gives?
>>15824016
Efi lol
>>15824016
Chances are it's still under factory warranty. Take it to the dealer.
>>15824016
Clogged EFI system. Car has probably sat on dealer lot with ethanol fuel in it, without fuel stabiliser. Go back to your dealer, and have them fix it if it really is brand-new.
