Whatup, /o/.
I'm on the hunt for a new (used) vehicle. I'll need to buy one soon, as I'm currently driving a rental. Would you like to help me pick one from my local Craigslist?
Must have AWD/4WD, enough life to last me at least 3 years (around 150k miles is fine), and cost less than $10k.
I'm mostly looking for either a hatch/wagon car like a Subaru, or a smaller/mid-sized SUV like a RAV4, CRV, or Jeep Cherokee.
I'll be moving soon for flatland Illinois, but I'll only be there for maybe a year and then move again to somwhere else. Could be anywhere in the states or in a handful of other countries. My company moves me and I won't have to drive the car there, nor will I really get much of a choice.

Buy a civic for 3k. You don't need awd.
Also, I forgot to say, it mus be standard transmission. Non-nogotiable, don't try to convince me to use automatic. It's not happening.
I don't know a whole lot about cars, so any advice you might have would probably go a long way for me.
You may not always need it but pretty fucking sweet to have or know someone with one whenight you get in some shit. Cherokees are like being given away right now at least in my area.
What's bad about driving automatic automatic?
What's so great about driving manual/stick?
Nothing.
It's fun.
Yuros can't have big engines or fast cars, so they need something to feel smug about.
>>15870072
manual is just more difficult because it involves more input from the driver. Its unlikely that a fourteen year old with no driving experience would be able to drive a manual car well.
>has turbocharged engine
>gets less than 200 HP

Pick one
1.3 liter diesel fiat anyone?
Ok guys I need one last bit of help to make this decision, I'm going to do the best to tl;dr the whole thing:
>Rode bikes for 6 years ish
>Haven't ridden one in two years since last one broke it was a ninja 250
>Found 2009 R1 with 9,XXX miles, for $4,300
>Want to get liter bike as I know I'll probably not want another bike for a while after.
>I live in the PNW and it rains all the time, I'm scared shitless of what riding this thing will be like in the rain.
>I've only been on 600's twice
>Id be getting the bike for a daily commuter and selling my car.
>Cages just don't excite me and I get bored to death driving.
I'm kind of freaking myself out about this whol thing, maybe I'm just over thinking it but I really want the liter bike. Just terrified it will be too much for me.
Any advice or input?
>>15868245
>Id be getting the bike for a daily commuter and selling my car.
>Cages just don't excite me and I get bored to death driving.
Oh jeez OP you are really retarded.
>Selling car cause it bores you to death.
>Literally dies riding an R1 in the rain.
Good luck.
>>15868245
You will hopefully have many years to experience all kinds of bikes, get something a bit more docile for getting comfortable on two wheels again and riding erryday. Add it to your collection and buy an R1 in a bit.
>>15868245
DDing an R1 is gonna be fun as fuck until it gets old. Hunched over behind a car in 1st gear begging to move. Fear of giving too much wrist on a wet day, etc.
It's your money, but I wouldn't sell your car to get it. If you're serious about commuting on a bike like I did for a while I suggest a sport touring bike with a less aggressive stance. I ride an sfv650 and its so comfy and fun. But it might be too slow for what you want. If I were you I'd get a Yamaha FZ-09. Very comfortable, big enough tank, and almost as fast as most liter bikes. Its also a torque monster that loooooves to wheelie. Good luck anon ride safe

No but they are pretty close.
Ok /o/, let's talk about shit tier cars.
The worst you have ever driven.
Let me start: I have driven lots of underpowered euroboxes, but I can tell you that sometimes the specs of the car do not tell you the whole story. I had an Ibiza mk2.5 with the 1.4 60hp na petrol that was actually fun to drive.
However the WORST CAR EVER fr me is the 1992 opel corsa b 1.2 44 hp. Absurdly underpowered (like 20s to 60 FOR REAL), undersized tyres (145!), It will understeer to the point of sliding out of control at 30km/h in the wet... The only car I have ever crashed due to this. It was actually DANGEROUS. I was lucky it self destroyed due to a timing belt failure and I moved on to an extremely fun peugeot 205 gt from 1987... But that's another story.
Tl;dr: worst car you have ever driven: which and why.
Opel corsa from 2014
with the smallest engine
literally the same as you described, OP.
1l three cylinder N/A powered by LPG
this thing sucks ass
holy shit guys
HOLY SHIT DO NEVER BUY A BASE MODEL
IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A RADIO LMAO EVEN BASE MODEL DACIAS HAVE RADIOS
and manual windows but that not a big deal.
the OPC is a fucking beast, tho.

Why do women always seem to total their cars
Because they can't drive.
You just answered your own question. Because they're women.
Also why are people so emotional about losing uninteresting shitboxes in non life threatening accidents?

>I am able to run US/Canadian VINs (anything with a fitting VIN; bikes, cars and so on) and US plates. For plates the same rules apply as VINs; 1981 or newer, US registered, and the plate and state are needed. Plates do work most of the time, but VINs are more reliable.
>Please remove hyphens (dashes) from VINs/plates - unless they happen to be part of a vanity plate. This makes copying and pasting easier.
>I can only run vehicles in/originally in the USA/Canada. If they've been exported from the USA/Canada, a report with their time here will be available. Not yet sure about imported cars.
>Vehicles need to be of the 1981 model year or newer. That's when standardized VINs began. Anything older simply cannot be run for a report.
>There are never I(i), O(o), nor Q(q) in VINs. This is to avoid confusion with 1 and 0. So if you are unsure, it is always 1 or 0 (not the case for classic cars, but they cannot be run anyway).
>VINs must be 17 characters exactly. No more, no less.

Metric, because its just fucking easier.
How do you add an aux input on an older car? Are you able to just drop on a new stereo unit?
>>15860091
Yeah. The absolute easiest way is to just get a stereo, not to mention they're fairly cheap nowadays.
You'll almost certainly need a dash kit. They're easiest to find on eBay Motors even if you have no intention on buying one there, it's a good way to find the part number you need.
You'll also want a wire harness for your vehicle so that you don't have to cut any factory wires.
If in doubt, just bring it to a car security & audio shop and pay a premium for guaranteed results.
Nope, you're stuck with AM radio
>>15860091
You can get an aux adapter that plugs into the back of your oem radio for some cars. It's what I did in my civic. Then I bought a flush mount connector and crimped the wires together.
