First shitpost for my shitbox
i'd own a brz/gt86.
not now, but in 10 years time when the prices have bottomed out.

What are you going to do with it?
Where do you sit to avoid certain death in a collision?
>>15838594
>inb4 hop in Pajeet
But really, let's say your NEET ass has friends (or even a date) and you know they're a bad driver
They pick you and a couple of other friends up, you have the choice of any of the seats, but you can't drive
The car is some terribly unsafe shitbox with 4/5 seats (EG Civic, any 90's Euro hatch, Chevy Cobalt, Fiat 500, etc.)
Though life is suffering, you want to live to another day of running your shitbox down the touge, so where do you sit?
Consider side impact, front and rear crumple zones, footwell space, airbags, etc.
Why would I want to avoid it?
>>15838594
The drivers seat, I'm a better driver than anyone I know and they'll readily admit that.
>CRF250L as a starter dual sport?
When I was younger I had ridden some dirtbikes (mostly 125 and 250 2 strokes) and here recently a lot of my friends have gotten motorcycles. I would like to get one of the new KTM 500 street bikes, however they cost over $10k which is a lot for a hobby I am not yet sure I will like. Would a crf250l be a decent choice to try to start out on then possibly move onto another dualsport once I see that I do actually like riding? My biggest concern is keeping up with my friends since they have sport bikes and Harley's, all with a much higher top end. What does /o/ think?
>btw I am 6'2 250lb
You are too fat
>>15838092
i bought a DRZ400 as my first motrcycle with no prior experience. its easy as fuck to ride and has more power than a 250. they are also pretty cheap.
mine tops out around 85-90mph, but you can tell the bike doesnt like going that fast.
45-75 is the sweet spot.
and if i am riding around town or country roads the low end torque makes me relatively fast as fuck.
>>15838500
They don't last as long as the Hondas do.
How common is it for a 10+ year old car (2005) to run well? What does "run well" mean when it comes to cars 10-15 years old?
>>15838055
All depends on the car and who owned it, but finding a solid good running car from 2005 shouldn't be hard at all.
"runs well" is a relative term and I wouldn't trust people on craiglist who say their car "runs well". To me it means, no weird noises, engines idles and revs smooth, shifts smooth.
>>15838055
I have an opel astra from 2000 that run quite ok
Cel engine light because of the sensor of the egr
Ac doesn't work
Without that it would be flawless
Suspension is way too soft but that kinda ok
>>15838055
My shitbox is 20yo :
>dead tachometer
>changed neiman once (before it was mine)
>...
>???
And abuse from previous owners :
>dented and scratched on every single possible spot
>slightly bend rear axle
>gearbox leaks oil (like you have to add some every few YEARS) because plug was overtorqued
I guess it depends on build quality and who owns it. Mom's Agila needs heavy repair every year and I can't get her to sell it.
Anyone else have a strange obsession with an econobox that they can't explain? I'm in love with the Fit and I don't know why.
>>15838034
I feel you anon I want to buy a fit as well
>great mpg
>is what the civic USED to be
>four doors
>decent interior
>okay styling
>not a fucking Yaris
>great resale value
I was thinking of buying one off of copart and rebuilding any minor damage and dd it until I have enough to buy my dream car
I was close to getting a fit but I got an ep3 instead, wanted something a little smaller and faster
>>15838034
It's like a twingo
Nice
Post convertibles with windshield deletes.
I'm combing through google now, will post as find good ones.
Everytime i see these i still cant believe they are an early 90's car, they still look great on the road, talk about ahead of their time car design.
>>15837037
Awful car.
Just bland soulless slow junk.
I just see a fwd shitbox
they look like a product of the time no doubt
they aged like milk
bland boring (kinda ugly) to look at milk
>my Audi doesn't do that
>wish my Beemer had that
>I'm not in the market for a new car but now I am.
Why is Chevy's marketing the GOAT?
>>15836763

My 2001 Prelude was just declared a total loss
Recommend me a RWD manual car around $30k
Leaning towards Mustang GT
Subaru BRZ is a nice car. Got to drive one once and honestly it was a little under powers but it's a fun car overall. With a couple mods it can be a lot quicker and feel better. They start are 22k I believe and if your budget is 30 you should be able to buy the car and afford some mods
You can get a used GT86 for like 15k then get a supercharger kit.
>>15836643
Used s2000
what does /o/ think of tire shine? I hate tire shine but I heard boomers get a hard on for tire shine.
>>15836486
i like the look. water-based ones are ok but hydrocarbon based ones can hurt the tire in the long term.
Looks odd. Tires were never made shiny so it's not like it makes it look newer or something.
>>15836523
It makes tires look black again its good if you abuse your car and your sidewalls are all brown and shit
Post dead concept cars.
>>15836427
>working flaws out of a prototype so the production car doesn't have those issues
You're a special kind of retard

How often do you rotate your spark plug wires?
Every ten hundred miles otherwise your car's carbonation injection system can get rust on it.
>>15836259
>ten hundred
So thousand?
>>15836278
>So thousand?
No, I think you're wrong.
Whats a good site to get free Haynes manuals as pdfs?
I need one for an 05 sunfire.
Your local library.
>>15836219
It's 4 o'clock in the morning.
>>15836212
>I need one for an 05 sunfire.
why?!
Meme's aside.
Just how fast will this car be?
I'm betting 2.6-2.8 seconds to 60 and a quarter in 10.2-10.5 seconds.
>>15835774
Nope not going quicker than 2.8 without awd, hybrid electric or being under 2000lbs
I guess around 2.8 0-60 with 10.7-11 second quarter
The real performance would be track based similar to the lfa
Ring time would be 7:03 is
Sub 1:30 seca
>>15835794
>11 sec quarter mile
No. Not ever. The 675LT does the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds. It will easily beat it.
You're terrible at estimation.
Pretty fast
What does /o/ think about the Celica GT? I hear you can interchange parts with 2000s corollas which is a good thing.
I'm looking to buy one for under $3000.
>195,000 mi
>no accidents
>has been in the shop for engine, transmission, and hand brake
>>15835434
00-02 GT's burn oil.
Aside from that the car is tank
>>15835440
What do you mean when you say the car is "tank"?
And thank you, I'm looking into the oil burning problems. Seem common
>>15835452
Oops, meant to say "the car is built like a tank"
It's textbook Toyota reliability and quality, aside from the piston rings in the 00-02 1Z engines. That was the only flaw.
