I'm being offered a 2004 VW Jetta gls 2.0 as a first car for what I think is a decent price and excellent mileage..
just wanted to hear /o/'s thoughts on the car.. worth buying or nah?
Meh.
Electronics will go wrong, although the 2.slow is a solid engine. Underpowered, but solid.
>>15850112
I have a 2001 VR6 Sedan. I would not recommend any other engine for those cars. Just personal preference, I'm not a fan of 4 cylinder engines.
>>15850117
Shut the fuck up. You don't know anything about electronics.
What's the best way to temporarily seal a crack in my gas pan?
JB Weld
gas pan?
>>15850092
Thanks, I'll give that a shot.
>>15850100
>temporarily
hey /o/. I want a "new" car, $7000 or less. I'm a college student. I can walk to school, so I don't need to drive to school every day. I want something fun (definitely manual). I have no problem getting routine maintenance/repairs, but I don't want a car that will randomly leave me stranded. What should I be looking for?
Sorry for such a vague post, I'm just not sure what I should be looking for
Honda Fit

Honda civic
Get an Rx7
Or an RX8 if you want something newer
It's 100% what I would have if I didn't commute 5 days a week.
Maintain it in your off time, it'll treat you fine and you'll be a loud obnoxious asshole with a cool car.
>your dad buys you an Alfa Romeo 147
>majestic car, fell in love with it
>can't drive it because I still need a couple of months for my licences
>my cousin asks my dad if he can borrow the car for a trip (usually uses his parent's, but that week they were in vacation)
>we both agree
>the next day the police calls us
>he fell asleep while driving and fell down a cliff, destroying the car and almost killing himself
Jesus fucking Christ why
>>15849667
That's sad, I'm sorry for your Alfa
>>15849667
I like how you switched from you to my after the first line
>>15849735
That's the magic of broken English
Okay guys. This is its final form. I am gonna leave it like this. What do you think?
I cant show you the back.
>3 seats
please tell me this is just a meme
That front is so long.
I feel like this car would be too long, not wide enough for stability reasons and it is way to thin to corner properly. Cool design tho, I just don't see the point of a 3 seater, or what it would provide that a 2+2 seat car would not.
>>15849610
It looks the same from 2 months back. I think it looks good.
But are you a pro or a student?
You see how wide and short other Lamborghinis/supercars are? It is for cornering purposes and for stability.
Remember when supercars didn't just require money to own, but also skill and a love for driving?
Aston Martin remembers.
>remember when supercars didnt just require mo-
wait a minute thats all theyve ever been about
theyre status symbols not drivers machines
Aston needs to learn how to design a car too
I don't think that is a "Super car" in fact, Aston usually only makes "GT" cars with the exception of the One77.
>>15849505
A supercar no matter what requires a lot of money to own. Some are driver's cars, some aren't. Also yes the v12 vantage s is great. I like the 911R a little bit more though
Why do you guys hate on Korean cars? It isn't 2002 anymore. It's the current year. Gooks have come a long way.
>>15849424
The cars have no seoul
>>15849424
>Gooks have come a long way.
Yes, they've gotten better at copying other brands.
So, it's another thread for us on our little slightly backwards, but pretty magical island.

ITT : New cars that needs to be sold here in North America
First up the Hilux. I want this one so bad.
>>15849014
There's a reason they don't sell it there, just like they don't sell Holden utes. It's too much of a threat to local alternatives, and Americans need a v8 and a km of bed space to carry groceries.
The last of the ozfag performance cars plus GM won't sell the SS in Canada
how is everyone on /o/ rich?
>>15848729
We aren't NEETs
>>15848729
>literally every thread is about 30 year old weeb shitboxes
Everyone is piss poor here breh
>>15848746
A bit of this.
Very few people here are what you'd call "well off", but I would think that the folks on /o/ are generally a bit older, have a somewhat stable job and prioritize better than boards like /r9k/ and /v/
What are your opinions on the Lexus NX?
>>15848708
The ugliest RAV4
>>15848708
RAV4 but uglier and more expensive
>>15848783
but it's got a tarbo
still, I'd rather have an rdx
what car is this?
>>15848698
A Ford, because it always catches on FIRE
Some type of weird Volkswagen
It's called "creativity I wish I had"
What does /o/ think of the Subaru Levorg?
>>15848437
Isn't this only in CVT auto?
This is going to bite Subaru in the rear.
>>15848445
Yep. And way overpriced compared to its rivals like the focus ST wagon and Octavia RS. Well at least in aus
There are plenty of them here in Switzerland
what comes out of this hole?

Cancer. But not as much as it's made out to be, there's much worse offenders.
