Newb here, got my licence few months ago, after my 10yrs car driving experience. Was thinking on getting Yamaha FZ-07 (MT), but since I'm 188cm (6'2) it looked so damn small under me. Also, talking with my biker cousin, he's sceptical on twins and their engine braking, he's certain that lower low band power and softer engine braking in inline fours are better for beginners, so he recommends me something like Kawasaki Z750. I think I'm cautious driver, never get into any trouble or accidents, don't really drive fast and I'm not into fast driving. Saying that, what do you guys think of this bike for me as a beginner? Also, any known major issues with this bike?

I certainly wouldn't recommend anything less than 100hp to a beginner. The safest bike is one you enjoy enough to pay attention to.

Z750 is just over 100hp, although I don't think I'll use all that power for quite some time.. it's shit cause I fucking enjoyed riding in driving school, but now I freaked myself out and am thinking why do I need all this.. well I bought bunch of gear so I guess I'll have to push trough my fears.. and fucking stop watching bike accidents on yt..

I've never heard anyone outside of the internet call it standard, but I assume that comes from the days when it was a standard feature and the automatic was an option. Same reason why automatics are so prevalent in the US, they were a luxury item that the rest of the world couldn't afford after the devestations of WWII. Italy couldn't even afford sets for their films; that's Neorealismo. Germany bombed to shit, no money for those fancy automatics. But in the US, what was once a pricey option became the norm.

FWD fag here.

I've had a few good handling FWD cars (Subjective, sure) before.

But I've only had FWD cars, so I want to expand my fun.

I'm extremely used to and know how to handle them, but I would really like my next car to be RWD, even if it is just a meme.

Any advice for someone who doesn't want to be that faggot who oversteers into a tree?

Also considering getting something AWD, friends subaru has served pretty well, even though it is the stereotypical lesbian 2.5 head gasket destroyer.

I do have a private road about 0.7 miles long to dick around on without fear of injuring another person, fully of ditches and winding turns.

Because old cars are easy as piss to run and you can run them without the need for electronics like current fuel pumps, or timing systems.

Pretty much the easiest maintenance you could have and not worry about it shorting out on you. It's all mechanical.
