How do we fix the dangerous motorist problem, without simply saying """""education"""""?
(Because the US will never implement ANY kind of country-wide education)
I haven't seen anyone make a complete stop in a month, and I'm not exaggerating here.
Almost ran into a little accident the other day, because someone was completing their TURN already while I was just completing my stop, and we nearly met in the middle.
When it comes to traffic lights, I've seen the car in front of me nearly scoot and roll all the way across the intersection!
Seems to be every time I see a motorist in a situation where they can choose to be smart or selfish, they consistently choose selfish.
Blinkers, of course, are a fucking joke.
Can't just try and enforce the laws on the books, since you have to be caught, and that's unlikely unless it's quota-time.
I want harder tests, and I want re-testing once you qualify for AARP.
Beyond that, I'm kind of stumped. What would negate the masking effect of a car? Where people feel fucking brave and uncaring because they're basically anonymous.
I mean, people nearly kill me, and when I react, you get a wave or a laugh; you can't actually be responsible for yourself, can you?
I only deliver for like four hours a day, and yet without fail, something nearly deadly or plain stupid occurs without fail, every shift.
>self-driving cars become common as fuck
>driving tests become stricter
>traditional car insurance becomes more costly
Tiered licensing similar to motorcycles in the EU, only the higher tiers require not just the same test on a larger machine (which is fine for a motorcycle since larger bikes ride different than smaller bikes), but far more complex tests.
That way people will at least be limited in the damage that they can do when shitty drivers would only be allowed something like a Fiat 500, if anything.
There's all sorts of other arguments you can make for this as well, such as emissions and fuel economy.
You can't make it financial because these people love their cars too much to care that they have to spend half their income on them.

Except the system in the EU means it's impossible for riders to go on motorways even if they've already got plenty of experience because they're so limited in what bikes they can buy. The system here in aus is a nice balance but it's still by no means perfect.

This is what happens when you don't use ecoboost
Isn't this guy an American car loving cuck?
Just bought a 2014 Jeep Patriot with 45k miles on it. Any of you guys ever had one of these before?

Hey
I don't know much about taking care of cars
I was told to use fucking dishwashing liquid to wash my car
Is that retarded as I think it sounds or legit?
>>15859257
It works. It might not be great for your paint but I'm not sure. The degreasing soap works pretty well.
It wont actually hurt the paint, but it will remove wax from it.
So if you want to take care of your paint, you will have to wax it everytime you wash using dish soap.
Either wash using just water, or a soap made for cars.
People use that before they buff their paint and do corrections or before paint prep.
Good to get the grease and wax off before doing work.
Honk honk :)
Hm, I don't really like this thread, tbqhwyf.

Anything wrong with the Kia Soul? Decent seat room and towing capability.

If you can't see what is wrong with it your vision isn't good enough to be driving.

Wut
>>15858957
Oddly enough the only people I've see driving it were in their 60's or older.
Poorfag here, just bought one of these
Need advice on how to make it fast/fun
>>15858822
Why would you buy one of these instead of just buying a civic for 3k?
>>15858832
Because I got a 2014 with only 20k miles and a 5 year warranty for only 8k after taxes and shit. Can't do that with a 2014 civic.
>>15858858
So? 01-05 civic is better built than that shitsubishi
time for advice from 4chan, 05 GTO or 87 RHD CRX?
Does the CRX have a V8? Didn't think so.

Even though I know this is a shitty bait and shitposting thread, they are both 100% completely different cars and driving styles.
Saged.
When's the last time you checked all your indicators and lights?
You don't want to look like a faggot, do you?
>>15858713
My car tells me if I have a brake light or turn signal out. And I check the taillights/plate lights occasionally.

What does /o/ name their car? I just got a '91 MR2 and I feel like I should give it a suitable name to save me from the snap oversteer memes.

Any 250.
Maybe a 500.
250 dirtbike that can be made street legal when he gets a license.
Basically the most practical and versatile first bike anyone could learn on.

The Smug Chevy Spokesperson just insulted your car. What do you do?
mention ecoboost and watch him break down

Getting a used car in Spring when I have some cashed saved up and I've been tossing around what I'd like in my head for the past couple months. My parameters are that it has to be post 80 and pre-2000, a coupe or sedan, manual transmission, and is quick or can be made to be quick, looking to learn more about cars and would like something to tinker with. My top dollar will probably be about $8000.
Models I had in mind were the Miata, Integra, Fiero, and Civic Si (hatchback would be preferable). Any other recommendations to be made?
Toyota Supra A70.
E30.

How bad are the 6.0s really? They can be had for god damn nothing and I'd really like a diesel truck. I don't need the power for work day to day, but I will go into the mountains frequently and NA engines are worthless on mountains.
If the 6.0s really are that bad (even the later model ones with improvements), then what would be a cheaper turbodiesel that isn't going to require frequent expensive service? I don't want a really early cummins, those things had about as much power as a golf cart.

7.3 Powerstoke
The 6.0 is a great motor, the issue is ford rushed it and cut corners. That along with the new added emissions bs made it a ticking time bomb. The problem with buying one second hand is you don't know who owned it before hand and if it was beat on or overworked. If bullet proofed the right way they can be power monsters but not many people know how to do the right way. If I personally were to get one it would go right to the powerstrokehelp guys shop to be bullet proofed but it is much easier to just avoid them, at least for me.
Search Powerstoke help on YouTube, he is extremely knowledgeable
>>15858131
>>15858189
But like I said a 7.3 is really the move imo.
>>15858196
I thought the 7.3 had a relatively high incidence of transmission problems and a lot of people recommended a built (stupidly expensive) transmission replacement before anything goes wrong. Is that wrong?
