Is the Honda Fit /o/-approved?
Can it run gentoo?
It seems decent for what it is. I've never driven one, though.
/g/ might approve though

Sup /o/. I've got an electrical water pump and A/C compressor now. It looks so clean and it's much easier on my engine. I want to get rid of all my belts. Does anyone know where to get an electrically driven alternator? Thanks.

I'm curious as well

Hey /o/, need some advice or input.
My torque converter is shuddering. I checked the fluid and while its not burnt or black, is it pretty dark for fluid with 8000 miles on it. Tomorrow I am going to replace it, three times. I don't have a flushing machine, but i figure three times should do it. If that doesn't fix it, is there any additives that work or you would recommend? I used a bottle of transx and while it did make a massive improvement in general shifting, the torque converter still shudders and jerks. Do they make anything specifically for the torque converter?
Among additives in general what do you recommend for both transmission, engine etc.
I want to get the most out of my engine. My grandpa swears by stp and marvel mystery oil.
bump?
Uh transmission fluid is supposed to be good for 100k miles. A transmission can take around 18 quarts so it'd be expensive you "flush" it 3 times
>>15864751
transmission lifespan depends on what the vehicle is used for. i was a mechanic for many years, one of my Toyota cars that i bag on and shift past 7000rpm i usually drain the trans pan yearly and refill it. if you have a truck that tows alot and such, it needs to be changed alot sooner than grandmas Cadillac that doesnt go past 2000rpm
>>15864671
theres nothing really specially made for the torque converter, if you want to try changing the fluid, drain the pan and refill the trans then drive for a day then drain it again and repeat. you should not need additives for the motor or transmission, atf has detergents in it already and motor oil has all it needs as well.

>2009 Cayman S
>2010 SLK 55 AMG

All of these will generally be in the same price range with some having less miles than others.
This may be the stupidest list i have ever seen
>>15864636
>All of these will generally be in the same price range
nope, gonna definitely need to throw out that gtr
>>15864692
It is the most expensive one. Cheapest of those I have found is 58,000 while the other ones are all floating in the 40's. I just thought I would try one out to see what a Japanese "performance car" would drive like. In all honesty I like it the least from a looks perspective.
"hey TOB you're into scooters right?"
"aye"
"my missus got one, drove it round the block and crashed it,you want whats left?"
LexMoto Valencia 125cc twist n go plastic pig.
so i went, i saw,i took t home.
every single plastic panel was either scratched, cracked or completely fucked.
this is what it should look like
aye i know its not everyones cup of tea,
anyway, i stripped back all the plastic crap and i'm left with this
>>15864630
now if i tidy up all the cables and run them in the frame, move a few electrical components inboard i'm left with this as a starting point

i kinda want to go Military/SWAT on this, its got a right chunky look to it, almost air-portable.
something like this, but more armoured
How did you get over DIY anxiety? I want to work on my cars but I'm afraid I'll break something. Have only changed my own oil recently but am thinking about changing my break pads and rotors, any tips to stop being a pussy?
Start small and work your way up. Fluid changes are a good place to start. Then maybe serpentine belt replacements and brake pad changes. Google and YouTube are your friend.
Basically just suck it up and start.
Oh, and if you're doing something like brakes, do one side of an axle at a time so you have a reference if you don't remember how to,get it all back together.
>>15864562
a service manual can really help, as that will show you every step you need to take. however, it will also "show" you that every single bolt and nut on the vehicle requires a specific torque value. if you're not a weakling nor a gorilla, you can torque 90% of the bolts on your car w/o a torque wrench just fine.
brakes are a great thing for a beginner to diy. the hardest part is usually pushing a gunked up brake piston back into the caliper if you don't have a clamp or big-ass channel locks. after that, it'll be trying to get the caliper aligned just right so that it will go back over the disk without the new pads popping out.
if you're really scared, only do 1 axle at once. that way, if you do mess something up, you'll still have braking at 2 wheels.

You just tear into that bitch. No ragrats style.

I attended to the creation of the first 964 RWB Porsche in UK in August. They are becoming more common in USA but for us eurofags seeing one is quite rare.
It's also my first edit ever so hope you like it.

What the fuck do people see in this guy's work? He's such a hack. Look at him!
>using fucking self tappers to put a fender flare on
>cutting sheet metal away from the wings and sanding the edges but not painting the now exposed metal to prevent rust
This is the kind of "customization" that all kinds of dumb shits do in their driveways, it's nothing special.
>>15864448
Don't use Nujabes in the background, you're tainting his memory with this shit.
Could we have a general share thread of bigcartels. Stuff sorta like shirtstuckedin. Already looked through the sticker thread, but I need more.
Ay, shirtstuckedin is the shit. I got a couple stickers form their August release. I'll probably pick up a plate frame next time around.
JimmyUp has some pretty cool stuff too, although they are pretty expensive. It's quality stuff though.
Pic related, got this sticker and a free one from shirtstuckedin
I guess /o/ doesn't like legitimately good shops and products and just buys the total garbage that the people in the dumbass sticker thread shit out.

I want to buy a new car for around 23k but I have no credit. I'm only 19 so I have never had a credit card before and thus I have no credit history. I make pretty good money for someone my age. 20/hr part time working 30 hours a week. I can afford a loan but how do I get one?
>>15864283
real question is how you making that much senpai
>>15864283
You apply? Do you think that if you want one it will magicaly show up on your door step?
>>15864283
Alot of places will offer loans based on no but they'll probably be at terrible rates.
All you can do is just shop around see what they offer, but don't sign any paperwork other than for them to run your credit.
Also do your research, see what are good rates, and if you can't swing an auto loan in the mean time you could go to a credit union and apply for a small (less than $1000) loan and pay it back within 6months, or way shorter than the loan term is.
Why don't we use air brakes in cars instead of hydraulics?
>>15864248
Air escapes easier
Because do you want your trunk filled with compressors and air tanks?
>>15864248
Why dont we use hydraulic suspension over spring/coil/shock/leaf spring etc?
Tfw you wreck your shitbox
>>15864048
I'm sorry for you, anon. Hope you get a new car soon. It was a nice Civic.
If it was your fault, learn from it. If it wasn't, try to get some money back from the opposing insurance.
