And its fun as fuck. Its not fast but its quick for what it is. To be honest, I kinda expected a bit more with all the talk and positive reviews I've heard about it. I'm sure a few upgrades will make it better but It feels as though its just missing something crucial. Kinda like when I drove a FRS/BRZ, it was fun but was missing something. Maybe power?

Explain what you think you mean by this.
>>15954782
Ducati is kind of that default "Ferrari" of bikes.
>>15954846
I see ducatis more like alfa romeo of bikes. Like sporty image, heritage, form over function and lifestyle bullshit like "character" or "soul".

This is not as bad as that one ad they had of those twin brothers who dreamt of racing each other. In automatic Camrys.

japanese car commercials have been pretty shit this entire decade
Nothing drives me crazy like dirty windows on a car. Thought i'd check in with you guys to compare products and swap tips. Pic related is what I use, this was the first time I tired the anti fog stuff, it was a huge bitch to get all the streaks off after using it. Anyone use a worthwhile anti fog TX besides the rain X brand?
My normal cleaning routine is
>Soak with glass cleaner
>Scrap down glass with razor blade
>Wipe down with waffle weave microfiber
>Soak with glass cleaner again, rub down glass with clay bar
>Another spray, another wipe down
>Apply Rain X per bottle
>Final buff with a waffle weave microfiber
That's for the windshield anyways, I find the side and rear glass can skip the razor blade. In between deep cleanings i'll just use distilled water and a waffle weave weekly to keep the glass clean on the outside. For the interior I just use distilled water and a waffle weave MF. I don't want to much glass cleaner to drip on my dash/plastics since I treat them all with 303.
Also while i'm here what about an alternative to Rain X? The Aquapel stuff on Amazon gets high reviews but it's fairly expressive compared to Rain X. Also thinking of switching to Zep glass cleaner. You can get a gallon for what you would pay for a 16oz spray bottle of Invisible Glass.
>>15954147
How's that ocd going?
>>15954147
Do not use the antifog shit
Before you clean the inside of the glass, clean the outside. Use the special lint free glass towels for the final wipe.
I've never used a razor, start with a good degreaser like Simple Clean, and chase with the claybar.
As far as rainx, I would use the washer fluid that already has the stuff inside, its just as good, and less work
>>15954157
If i'm off my meds it's crippling. It takes all my will power not to soak all my silverware in a bleach/water solution for 2 hours instead of tossing them into the dishwater. I have set my water heater to a low temp because when I wash my hands I feel like the water is never hot enough to clean them properly and I gave myself 3rd degree burns before. I've been on edge since the FDA is banning certain antibiotics in off the shelf hand soap, I've been stocking up in the meantime. I spent 8 hours yesterday cleaning the grout lines in my bathroom with a tooth brush. I get up in the middle of the night 5+ times to check to see the door is locked. I wash my bed sheets everyday. My life is a living hell to be honest.
>>15954163
Yeah, the anti fog stuff was a mistake I think. Might end up going back in with some ETOH and a Waffle weave MF to get it off.
Simple Green will leave glass streaky as fuck. It's why most glass cleaners have ammonia in it, ammonia cleans glass without streaking.
I also feel like the Rain X in the windshield washer fluid is sub par in performance compared to the buff on/buff off stand alone product. Also will leave a slight haze on your glass that you can really notice at night with oncoming headlights. And it can clog your washer fluid lines. This is not even my OCD talking, google it. Tons of people have these issues.
Hello /o/, I'm not a frequent visiter but I have a question, anyone here know alot about old timers? My family owns a 1929 Plymouth and we wanted to know if it's worth anything to sell or is it just a relic, any info appreciated.
>>15953883
what condition is it in? if its a rusted scrap, then its worth pretty much nothing. if it can be built back up with a reasonable amount of work then yes, it could be worth something.
>>15953931
This.
But, a rusted hunk can still be sold to a ratrodder for a grand or two.
>>15953931
It's in a pretty good condition, nothing has been touched, not sure about the mileage but no it's not a rusted scrap its been properly stored, it's model U btw.
What the actual fuck is the point of owning an insight if you can't get the listed EMPEEGEES even after driving like a fucking pussy?
You already sacrifice the entire driving experience by getting a hybrid in exchange for saving your jew gold on guzzoline. lt's fucking worthless, prove me wrong.
>>15953706
You're better off getting a geo metro for $1000 and praying to kek that nobody plows into you because lolairbags
>>15953706
What's the actual MPG when you do the math though?
My dad got an insight, I drove it and had the urge to drive it straight into a fucking wall. Only if it would even get enough acceleration only then maybe I could drive it into a fucking wall.
Went into an ATV path and there was this one rocky bump that hit me out of gear. Sounded especially bad but looked to just be a drivetrain differential hit. The small bumps I experienced would just turn to my buddy and say "don't worry bro it's le armoured xbbb".
Anyway, what's a good way to protect against these small hits when offroading? It'll be crucial in the winter when you can't see rocks that appear out of nowhere.
>lift-kit
>armoured front bumper
>winch
>more drivetrain armour?
>offroad tyres
mine are winter right now
Bonus: the bumper got caved in by a rock when reversing and only the small plastic clips on the bumper broke off.It hangs out just fine after 3 hours of hwy driving and might glue it back on until I find a metal bumper winch.

oh and question on clutch burning. how to avoid killing the clutch pad (and that awful greasy smell) when you're stuck in 4-L on a wet patch of dirt?
I try not to do a lot of 2nd gear starts and I normally am worrying about hitting trees more than keeping the revs under 3000 when starting back up.
>>15953609
nice going genius. Ground clearance is your first and last line of defense. You wont need armor if you can clear the obstacle instead of dragging your EVERYTHING over it.
>>15953609
Is that a woman or a man?
hey /o are jdm cars actually good or are they just overhyped meme cars worshipped by weaboos?
They're not good but they're a damn sight better than any American, German, or Italian shit
>>15953587
Enjoy dem speed limiters
But depending on the age of the car, lots of cars imported into North America had shitty and weak engines compared to the same models in Yurop and Japan.
It's a meme because the motor's exported in the 90s were usually detuned for emissions purposes so if you could get your hands on something 'jdm tyte' it would have a little more hp.
These days its just idiots slapping jdm on things when they don't even know what it means.
Should I buy this 2008 350z for $12,500? Really considering it.

Buying a 95 GT w/ a 4.6 engine swap, I'm getting it pretty cheap, pic kind of related. Learned manual years ago and drive it occasionally when DD'ing, never had one for daily use.
How can I expect the ride to behave when shifting, how to I whip the most out of it?
>>15953061
Is it a 96-98 4.6 2v, or 99-04? They have different heads/cams. And a pretty big difference in power
Why would you buy a car that someone swapped out the 5.0 for a 4.6? Unless it's a 4v, otherwise it makes no sense.
Expect an uglier fatter fox with a 90's GM tier plastic interior
>>15953118
>>15953129
I'm not sure which it is, but I'm assuming it's the 4v because it only has 90k miles and like you said, the 2v wouldn't make any sense.
As to why I would buy it is because I'm getting it at half the price of the other stangs in my area, leaving budget for aftermarket.
One that dislikes having a hot interior.

are there any engines that are as light, powerful, and cheap as an ls?
i'm asking because while this seems like a great platform, i'd have a hard time getting parts for it in my town, wheras there are tons of shit like DOHC coyotes. i just don't know if there's anything to keep an eye out for that has a similar power out to weight ratio of the ls1/7s.
i see a lot of subaru flat sixes at my local scrapyard. if their compression ratio was lowered and given forced induction, would that produce enough power to match an ls1?
Just turbo an ls
not that fucking hard
