Given they are not used in competition, it is my understanding they must be underperforming when compared to other materials such as aluminum, magnesium and whatnot.
But how good are they for a street car/bike? Are they heavier than an equivalent steel frame? Cheaper or more expensive? Easier to work on if you don't have experience with either? Do they flex a lot? Are they less safe in case of crash? Which woods are more appropriate?
