So Ive always loved the Golf GTI. Ive driven a few different cars that are classed as hit hatches but this one always seems like the best one. Last GTI ive driven was the Mk4 and I loved it. The newer ones have to be just as good or better. Commence generation dump. Mk1.
Mk2.
Mk3
Mk4. I love this one so much. I wish I could find a good example for sale at a good price, mileage and condition.
The engine (KA24e) cranked, fired up, and ran for about two seconds. After that it sputtered, stalled, and wouldn't get combustion until I took pressure out of the fuel lines and tried again, even though it seemed like the starter was spinning the engine as fast as it could.
My guess is adjusting the air/fuel mixture but I'm curious if anyone has had a similar problem and how you fixed it.

Typical broken 240.
Its the idle air control valve.
But dont worry. Something else will break soon
>>16027120
The guy I bought it from was a total retard. He managed to lose the valve cover bolts, half the fuel pump bolts, and the coolant reservoir tank.
Also, I don't know if it's related or if it's something that will cause problems in the future, but there's like a lot of water coming out of the exhaust when its cranking. Pic related is the aftermath of those two seconds of combustion. Notice the cinder block five feet away got covered pretty good.
Got a 1st gen mr2. What's your /o/pinion?
don't care
Jealousy.

>hello, what would be my total expenditure if I were to source that specific automobile from the manufacturer?
An amount that would surpass your annual gross income sans expenditures, good sir.
I request that you make this gentlemen bite the dust due to his inappropriate attitude.

A shit car vs shit looking car
hmm hard to say
Why is Japan and Germany just sitting on their asses while American muscle is rapidly approaching in the rear view mirror?
>GT350 is a god machine
>new Camaro is a god machine
>Viper is a god machine
>C7 Grand Sport is a god machine
>American cars in general are vastly improving with every passing year
Why aren't they stepping up to the plate and putting these (supposedly) lolcantturn dinosaurs where they belong?
Chevrolet have comprehensively ruined their image in Europe by selling rebadged Daewoos for years, and as far as I know no American models are officially for sale here. Also the Viper is being discontinued and the only reason the Mustang is selling well is because it's cheap, not because it's good.
>Approaching
American muscle was "approaching" in 2009, at this point it's right beside or even slightly ahead.
As for why they don't care, muscle cars are just too expensive and carry a large stigma in Europe and especially Japan, they aren't super practical and don't sell very well.
But they are fucking perfect for America, there's a reason they are goddamned everywhere.

>chebby
They sell Opels and Vauxhalls and they are literally everywhere. Haven't seen a rebranded daewoo car in ages there.
Which one is the better buy given if both are the same price?
The s2k is faster in a straight line, has less body roll, turns more heads. Also, it is appreciating in value currently and apparently has the best stock shifter ever made.
The ND miata will save money on gas, apparently is faster around the track, costs less for insurance and comes with a new car warranty.
I was thinking of buying the s2000 now and buying an ND after it depreciates, but will I really save any money at all even if the s2000 is raising in price? If the ND miata is supposedly faster as well, is it worth purchasing the s2000 at all?
>turns more heads
actually, i think the new miata would grab more attention
s2k is starting to look a bit outdated
anyway, it's a tough choice between these
miata is more modern, lighter, has chassis just as good and bodyroll is easily fixable if it bothers you
the s2000 is not raising in price

If you're a fag then get the miat. Not even joking
The new one looks like a cock smokers chariot

But the sounds lil homie, the sounds.
Is it even possible for them to bring back this Supra which looks like it's been rolled to hell, swamped, or even burnt to death, without spending a boatload of money? why not just buy a running Supra? the F&F tax hadn't even been imposed on the thing.
