Does putting your car to 5-6 on the tachometer daily (i.e.; to merge onto the highway) greatly decrease engine life?
>>16030028
No.
The engine is designed to handle a wide range of RPM. If you use the proper oil and change it regularly (5000-7500 miles) it's ok.
>>16030028
what >>16030044 said
it decreases your oil change intervals however
>>16030028
You should never go above 3k, you're just wasting gas.

Will it survive crash testing?

it looks like modern car fronts are "vertically scrolling".
what used to be on the bottom goes up and up while things on the top go smaller and the next iteration begins where the old one left off.
What does /o/ think of automatic cars with paddle shifters / auto slap shifters?
Gimmick? Has value?
They're somewhat fun, but never as fun as having a manual.
I don't use it as much as I could, though.
Some are better than others.
It kind of helps you stay awake in traffic but the delay is a deal breaker for me, really annoying.
Also DDT until it gets back to it's regularly scheduled programming.

De-stancing a car is fairly easy if they never bothered dropping the suspension (most don't) take it to a shop your friendly with and ask them to re-align to spec.

I hate myself for selling my MX-5 NA 8 months ago.
If i'd kept it even till just now, I could get $1000 more from it. More in a year, and even more after that.
They're becoming rare.
i had a 94 ranger 2.3 5spd that was falling apart and had a hole in the exhaust right after the header. loud af and slow as molasses. i miss it almost every day.

My ex had me sold my fathers old Chevy SS truck for a hatchback. and I fucking hated my self after that, and now since we aren't together, it still make me regret it even more. Why didn't i sell her instead of the truck..
How come the best trucks are Japanese? I thought this is what the US domestic brands are supposed to specialize in. Can the USA manufacturers do anything right??
(((You)))
Despite the fact that is obvious bait, I'm gonna bite anyways:
It all depends on what you're talking about in trucks. In terms of a truck as a utility vehicle, US trucks all the way. The big 3 domestic brands have built the most powerful and capable vehicles in terms of towing capacity and power (reliability and craftsmanship is still meh)
If we're talking off-road though, and current vehicles (not some 90s land cruiser) Japan beats every US or European company except for jeep. The short wheelbase jeeps in the Rubicon package is most likely the best off-road vehicle on the market. Disconnecting sway bars, locking front and rear diffs and a short wheelbase. Not to mention the massive aftermarket available.
How much of a delinquent are you /O/?

NSX is ugly
Why do you all hate X1s? Why is it better to just get a hatchback 3-series (if at all). We have 10 years of BMW loyalty so she's going to lease again.
Arguments she has for a light SUV:
>muh height / visibility
>muh crash better
>muh curb weight
>>16028316
Floaty steering and feeling detached from the driving experience. Tall car memes. It's an SUV.
the X1 is nice for normies (read: your mum) but it's definitely not the "ultimate driving machine" as BMW advertises itself
also that's a wagon in your pic, not a hatchback
>>16028316
Also looks terrible in comparison to the 3 series sedan and m series sedans.

Hi /o/
I'm currently converting a 1991 SW20 MR2 to all wheel drive, using a cosworth MT75 gearbox, and running the diff upside down.
The engine I'll be using a nissan VQ35, which I will be destroking to 2litres for rally regulations, and will be using a single IHI Turbine.
I'm currently cutting the transmission tunnel, and my angle grinders a peice of shit, does anyone have any tips here? I've got through 6 of these fucking wafer thin discs so far, all they do is snap into peices.
>Pic related, its the tunnel I'm cutting out the car. Its where the fuel tank would normally be but I'll be running one single carbon fibre fuel cell in the passenger footwell.

Call police, report stolen, give them license plate
> They'll either find it in an impound, or find it about a week later completely fucked and stripped
> You'll have to pay the police department like $300 for release because they found it 3 days before they called you and they charged you storage fees.
Last time this happened to my fried she told them to just keep it. Because this is way too fucking common, everyone who has ever had a car stolen knows its not worth getting it back. Just tell your insurance company and hope they don't try to jew you to no end.

It's the end of the electric car as we know it.
