Today Scotty said I have to change my oil every three to four thousand miles for dino oil and every seven for synthetic.
Is this reasonable? I run dino and only change it at 8000 miles.
He also says I dont have to wear in my brake pads when I had always heard that you have to.

>>16072883
Yes, 3-4k for conventional is standard. 5-7.5k for synthetic is standard.
Go with what your owner's manual says.
7.5k miles on synth for me

I have an 84 Ranger and a Chevy 350 small block. Has anyone here done a swap similar to this?
sell the anchor and get a 302
a 350 swap isnt worth the additional effort
>>16072877
A 302 will be easier and less fabrication than getting a chebby motor to fit. You can read up on it here.

>stock intake takes air from as far away from engine as possible
>replace with cone filter that's 1ft away from engine block

>not knowing the difference between a short ram intake and a shielded cai
>>16072751
>moving the intake far from the engine which is radiates large amounts of heat
>cone filters offer more surface area and better air flow
>implying any of this is a problem
you want to try again?
>>16072751
They can free up some HP in the event that the intake was a restriction. Obviously ones that put the intake filter right by a heat source are probably going to be more detrimental than not. The 10HP they always claim is fairly bullshit, especially on I4s. You could possibly see that gain on a V8. Assuming they're talking about WHP and not imaginary crank with no accessories running on an engine stand horsepower.

the rim is part of the wheel.
That's like car 101, shits you learn at 14years old, faggot.

Mazda is a cool company given the landscape of the automotive industry.
That said, I would never buy one because I can't afford a clean RX7 FD.
Do decent- looking hubcaps even exist? I want something to put on my winter steel wheels but every hubcap i've seen ever is just utter trash. At this point I would preffer the look of plain rusty stamped weels than any of this shit.
>>16072231
Just paint your steelies.
Trying to cover up steelies with hubcaps just screams "I'm a poor faggot and ashamed"
Painting your steelies is an acknowledgement of your underprivileged poorfaggotry. Honesty > everything else.
Chrome plated can look nice I had pic related on my hardbody.
Yes, they're called OEM hubcaps. But I vote just refinishing the steel wheels like shitpost guy suggested.

how do i know if i have xenon headlight /o/?
my car has whiteish lights but i know nowadays you can just put led into halogen sockets and they will look white
I want to know because i want to buy some costum headlights but they say they are only compatible with the trim of my car that came with halogen only and not xenon
>>16071946
You can check by running your VIN through a decoder; http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html
I also believe it says "Xenon" on the headlight if you have them - but I may be mistaken as it might just only be for the adaptive headlights.
>>16071946
Can you get a picture of a close up of your head lights turned off?
From the look of your profile photo, Im guessing you have halogen.
Xenon will have a lens that you can see from the out side that directs the light pattern.
Halogen just has the light reflect off a large multi-angled mirrored surface. The light is much more diffuse.
>>16072016
>profile photo
wat?
I took a picture but u cant see shit because the plastic is darkened and very foggy, but it doesnt have a mirrored surface like the high beams do which are yellow light
>>16072011
its an audi though
So, I drive pic related(xsara Picasso) and it's a pretty heavy car(1.3ton empty, I lug an extra 100kg of shit around and I'm fat) so I have to really push the gas all the way down when pulling away so people don't rear end me when joining a main road or something.
To accelerate faster I just floor it on second gear but I have noticed that my engine sound changes when I'm past 40kph just before I shift into 3rd. It starts getting loud as usual when the revs go up but there is a point when the sound is replaced by something like a mix of white noise and a high pitched sound. Is this normal?

Scotty Kilmer offers to buy you any car you like, past or present, any price range. The only catch is that it will be modified to have no forward gears, only reverse will work. If you try and fix the transmission so that the forward gears work again, Scotty will send Christian Von Koenigsegg to ass rape you until you die.
What car do you pick?
Chevy Cameo. BIG REAR WINDOW. also the bed serves as a battering ram in case I hit something.
