Where do learn more about cars?
> pic related my car
You don't want to learn too much about that car
>>16074933
I mean about cars in general
>>16074908
Jesus, were you drunk and tripping when you bought that abomination?
I know nothing about cars, I drive a beat up 03 f150, and I'm looking to get an Uber Select eligible 4 door, my city averages 20-30$ hourly in fares. Must be 2007+ of the following models:
Acura RDX/MDX/TLX+
Audi A3/Q3/S4/A6/Q7+
BMW X3 & X5
BMW 5 Series & 7 Series
Cadillac CTS, Escalade, SRX+
Hyundai Genesis Sedan
Infiniti EX/FX/QX/Q50+
Lincoln Navigator
Porsche Macan/Cayenne
Mercedes-Benz C/G/CLS/GL+ Class
Tesla Model S
Buick Enclave/Regal/LaCrosse
Land Rover Discovery
Lexus GS/LX/GX/RX+
Land Rover Evoque
Kia K900
Really looking to min/max my budget here, maybe a 2011/2012. What do you lads recommend? <20k would be fantastic
>>16074871
Get an Acura. I don't think you realize how fast the fuckers you pick up and take are going to fuck it up.
As cool as it would be to drive any other car on that list, reliability, gas mileage and price for them is going to put you too far back to easily make up.
Get an Acura and enjoy the I4 gas mileage and as much comfort as a pleb using uber needs while still being affordable and able the resale value won't tank as bad (tho it'll be bad because uber)
I'd probably go with the CTS. Navigator might be cheaper to buy but would be worse on gas. Less fun to drive but theoretically more fun to party in. You should really do your research about Uber itself though I've heard it ends up being less than minimum wage and way more work. You might want to just sell drugs.
>>16074910
Under drivers don't make enough to keep up the gas on a CTS, let alone maintenance and repair costs. He can get an Acura under 10k in good condition easily. A well kept CTS will push up to 10k
Im installing nitrous, came into a little snag, rather not tap into hard lines, cant figure out where... fuel filter? idk, appreciate the help /o/. Making it into a sleeper, Intake, exhaust, Tune already.

Working with what i got
What's the source of this set? Are these speeds verified? Is there one for every Mid Night Club member at the time or just a handful of them?
bumpo
el sekundo bumpo
>>16074844
They measured speed using noodle packets.
Anybody have a car that's heavier?
4,400lbs/2Mg
Longer? 18'/5.5m
Wider? 6 1/2"/1.98m
Woodier?
Got you by seventy pounds - of course not a car.
only weighs around 3800 or a little more. long as fuck tho family.
>>16074855
No way that thing weighs 2.25 tons. My swb 04 silverado weights 5.5k last time it went over a scale.
Consider that electric cars have no reason to be FWD, that car engines are getting more and more powerful with time, and that FWD becomes total shit above 250bhp or so.
Is FWD going to die soon?
>>16074584
why do you think any of the benefits of fwd go away with electric engines
>>16074584
Consider that petrol cars have no reason to be RWD, that asides from enthusiast markets that are increasingly priced out of reach of the average consumer, and that basic economics states that consumers will buy cheaper FWD cars.
Is RWD going to die soon?
>>16074612
All the batteries and shit are as low as possible for better weight distribution, there's no benefit to putting the electric motors in the front.
>>16074623
Not an argument.
My car manual says to service my 2016 sonata hybird at 7500 miles... And I forgot to do it and now I'm at 8200 miles. So I'm 700 miles late. Will this negatively affect my car being this late? I'm scared shitless
Might as well look at cars to trade it in for and hope you can bamboozle a dealership to trade it in without questions senpai, you dun goofed
>>16074554
P.s I'll take it for maintenance tomorrow, but just wondering what damage if any I've done
>>16074554
Sell it before the engine and tranny give out, they're likely to do so in the next 500 miles. Get rid of it while it's still worth something
Not only does this car look incredibly fuck ugly and have a shitty interior, but it has 10 fucking gears, what the fuck were they thinking?
Having so many gear ratios totally ruins the sound of the car as you lose any sound below 5000rpm because the car constantly is changing gears to stay above this, it's basically a CVT.
Why do you care if you cant afford it?
>>16074493
i honestly don't understand why a car with such a broad torque curve that makes good power below 3k rpms needs a 10-speed that always keeps the revs super high
>>16074493
its gm
they make transmissions for everyone else
you'll just see it there first
complain now, sure
get the fuck out and lurk more
What's wrong with the Genesis Coupe
heavy, 2.0T is not worth getting, v6 is outclassed for price, hyundai so people aren't keen to buy it
honestly if they put the 5.0 V8 sedan in the coupe I'd consider it
Its a parts bin car where nothing really gets along with one another. Also V6 Mustang performance for V8 price.
>>16074489
Not quite JDM equivalent and not quite muscle car, it was in a weird place all to itself.
That and it's a Hyundai--not the first thing people think for sport coupe.
>Me 2 weeks ago.
>>16074454
I have never stuck my feet out the passenger window whilst my hands were in my shoes
Fuck a man?
Never, thats gay as fuck
>>16074461
Jesus that's all I can see now
What's this weird metal snail thing near the engine?
>>16074212
>dat type R
>>16074212
It's a restrictor plate, it's designed to slow the car down to legal speeds for road use. Shaped like a snail because snails are slow.
Alternator, it pumps electrons into the wires to power the car.
What do /o/?
>Pic very related
>>16074203
TRD supercharger.
>>16074205
I've looked into them. There so hard to find. And the ones I've found are being sold with the xb.
>>16074225
Idk what else to recommend.
Maybe an UEL header from a TC for dat noise?
what is it about them, /o/? How do they make such good cars?
>>16074192
Enjoy your electrical problems at 50k km
relatively low weight, 50/50 weight balance, inline six engines, manual transmissions, responsive-ish steering, overall sporty feel
>>16074216
jelly
>/o/ will defend this
>>16074118

>>16074115

>>16074126
